FX Inn Kaohsiung Zhonghua Road Branch

Unfortunately FX Kaoshiung underperformed its name. The pictures look fantastic however like most photography, was made to look a whole lot better than what they were. My room stunk of smoke and no other room was available, even though there was. ||Secondly staff aren't very welcoming and prefer to avoid eye contact. ||International powerpoint which is good and average Taiwanese buffet breakfast. I wouldn't stay here again. I satisfied my curiosity and unfortunately FX Kaoshiung didn't live up to things. ||The laundry doesn't work well and didn't dry the clothes. My future stays will continue to be 3 stays or more and I would be looking for a hotel with stronger amenities and just more pleasant front desk.

The room had a damp smell right when we walked in. It got better after we aired it out and cranked up the AC. The hotel was near the MRT Station, however there’s nothing much around the hotel. The staff accommodate our request to have a 12:00 check-out and was friendly. It was a great stay overall.

There was a huge choral between a mother and two daughters at 4 am. I suddenly heard a young girl in panic in the hallway so I went out to check what was going on. Her sister was trying to calm her down. Then the mother opened the door of her room and the girl was shaking. The older sister told me in perfect English “my parents are being abusive to us”. The mother rushed to tell me “this is a family issue, don’t worry”. The older sister kept telling her mother she was being rude and aggressive to her sister, and that she took her phone from her. Another guest came out of his room from the end of the hallway. The mother then insisted on the girls to go back to the room and talk about it, but the little one was genuinely frightened. They ended up ceding to the mother and went back to the room.I went to the reception desk to tell them I didn’t know what was going on but that there was a big fight going on, and he told me “room 616 and 602?”, so he was aware of it. I got upset and asked him if they were the same family, which he acknowledged. I told him about the incident and he said “I can offer you another room, and if they keep making noise I will call the police”, to which I replied he should have called the police already if he knew about the situation. And that it didn’t make sense to give a room when it was almost 5 am.

The hotel room itself was decent and the staff were friendly and helpful. However, the facilities were practically nonexistent. The “gym” was so poorly equipped that it was impossible to complete even a basic workout routine.

The staff speaks just a little English. The room for the price was perfect. Is right next to the station of the orange line, great to travel around. But as a traveler I would stay near the harbour or at cijin next time. But that's not about this hotel. We had a pleasant stay

Near to Liuhe Night Market. Near to 7-eleven. Buffet Breakfast is basic. Odd room layout whereby you can only close 1 door between shower and toilet

Great Place to stay n is very near to the Cianjin Mrt station..just 1 stop away from Formosa Boulevard Station... Simply change from red line mrt to orange line mrt n exit 3...very easy to move around..walking distance to the night market too...
