Fynkos

Enjoyed a delightful light breakfast at Fynkos before exploring Kirstenbosch Gardens. Tucked near Gate 2, this casual eatery offers a relaxed vibe compared to the other restaurant within the garden’s paid area. The morning menu boasts a solid variety—our highlights were the flavorful tomato shakshuka and the savory mushroom toast. The chococino was a perfect warm-up for the chilly morning. Sitting outdoors, we soaked up the morning sun with birdsong in the background. Not a top notch cafe but recommended for a cozy start or a place to grab a quick bite to your garden adventure!

Considering the location inside the Kirstenbosch botanic gardens I was expecting a typical tourist trap in terms of food and pricing. I was pleasantly wrong and surprised. The food was good, reasonably priced for what we good and all round everyone agreed it was worth another visit. Service was good. Afternoon in winter gets cold when the sun goes behind the mountain and our server was kind enough to offer some blankies. Good food, reasonable price, good service. Id go again

Very cool place next to the garden, great service, amazing food and awesome views! Malwa pudding was a delight! Would love to come back here.

After reviewing several negative comments regarding the service on Garden Week, I would like to share my positive experience on the final day of the event. The waitstaff exhibited a commendable level of attentiveness and dedication. The quality of the food was outstanding, and I specifically recommend trying the iced coffee. It would be an excellent addition to your day before you venture into nature.

We stopped for a much needed brunch after spending a few hours walking through Kirstenbosch Gardens and were grateful to be seated immediately. It is lovely sitting outside under their umbrellas with the gardens and birds surrounding you. We ordered the "Light" beef burger and "Light" chicken burger, and thank goodness we did! The Light / Quick meal portion size is more than ample! The burgers were tasty and you are given heaps of chips as a side! Very reasonable prices too!

Ridiculous, overpriced space that is clearly designed for throughput rather than care and experience. Exorbitantly overpriced, they got my order wrong; do not have WiFi and take the ‘rest’ out of restaurant. This place doesn’t deserve the beautiful gardens it sits in. A real shame.

We had lunch here. All our orders tasted good, looked nice and are healthy options. Perfect after a walk in the botanical garden.

We stopped here for a quick brunch after visiting the amazing gardens. Place was laid out nicely and we got seated immediately (No booking required). Our Waiter was nice and friendly, food was fresh and nicely prepared and the atmosphere was just amazing. I had the berries smoothie and it was super refreshing. Highly recommend the sweet potato fries
