Delicious!! It’s a small place but the hostess does a great job keeping track of who is waiting and offered to bring a drink while we were waiting. The cocktails all sounded delicious. The bloody Mary’s we tried were both good and spicy. And I pretty glassware. Both entrees were good and so many other things on the menu sound amazing. The chicken and cheddar waffles were good. Chicken (boneless) was crispy. The hot sauce served with it was hot. Almost a Nashville hot sauce. The Benedict served on chicken and spinach and bacon was somehow light for a benedict. The Americano was one of the best we’ve had. Great service throughout our visit. We will be back!

We had a great time and meal at the Gs, they serve delicious waffles and their breads are nice as well. Due to the popularity, it is wise to reserve in advance. We couldn't one day prior, so best to reserve 3 days or something in advance if you want to have a seat. Waiting for a table is also possible, but you might end up waiting too long.

Google
Lovely brunch experience. Reservations are strongly recommended but there are also always spots available for walk ins like us. We were there at 10am on a Saturday morning and still could fit in. According to a waitress it gets super busy after 11 so come earlier without a reservation. Food is really tasty and you get to have some serious drinks, too.

Google
As a New Yorker - I’ve been to more “trendy” brunches than I can count, and this place really impressed me. First, they take a really fun tone with everything from the comic book table cloths to the descriptions in the menu. The Bloody Mary selection is massive and they run really creative takes on eggs benedict. This place is a must.

Google
YUM brunch, with a CRAZY menu of bloody Mary’s. Waffles were overhyped but the quesadillas were beyond amazing! Definitely coming back for these. Cappuccino and chai latte were nice, and so was the staff. Smiling, helpful and very friendly. Recommend you come prepared for some waiting time.

Google
A small cafe in a quiet side street of Jordaan. Popular and busy, so come with patience and a relaxing mood. Excellent staff and one of the best tasting coffee in Amsterdam. The food is fresh and tasty. Perfect portions. The French toast is a must try. Very different to any other place. Moist and delicious. Definitely a top contender for regular visits.

Google
Very relaxed and quaint atmosphere. We had breakfast. Eggs and Toast, French Toast and coffee. Tasted every bit as good as back in Canada. A rare find in Europe, they actually keep a bottle of real Heinz ketchup and a bottle of HP sauce on each table! Love it! Food was terrific and reasonably priced. If you're from Canada and you're feeling like some flavor of home while in Europe, this is a great place to seek out.

Google
Buzzing little brunch place with very friendly and attentive staff. There’s a lovely homey atmosphere with a warm vibe. The food is great and there is a large selection of bloody Mary’s. The waitress came immediately whenever I looked over, and came with a big smile. This is really not the norm in Amsterdam and makes it stand out. This is a good place to come if your looking to sit and chat with a group of friends. There’s large round tables and couches to sit with up to 10 people.

Yelp
This was probably the worst food spot my friend and I stopped by while in Amsterdam. Although their dip on crack was AMAZING, everything else that followed, food-wise, was pretty disappointing. We reserved our spot ahead of time and they honored that when another couple arrived before us. Thanks for that! Gotta add that the drinks were also yummy - they took long making them, but they are extremely easy on the eyes and they taste good, too. I got the Korean chicken and my friend got chicken and waffles. The chicken had almost little to no flavor - just as if they dipped it in salty Korean sauce. The mushrooms weren't really sautéed. As for the chicken that came with the chicken and waffles, It was very bland. That, too, seems to have been dipped in oil... fried... and placed on a plate. + the waffle was pretty over-cooked/hard. Additionally... it's very interesting that the spot is clearly inspired by hip-hop culture with images of rappers such as A$AP Rocky on the wall. The playlist included people like Brandy, Solange and so forth... the greats. But... no POC in or around the restaurant. Very interesting observation. The people working there: 10/10. The amazing hostess/waiters, the beautiful decor and the dip on crack is what I would come back for.

Yelp
I enjoyed a nice brunch here with some yelpers. Plus- *Quinoa Salad was good. *Customer service is excellent and fast. *Good energy and vibe. *Ambiance cool. *Con- *Location is not so easy to find. *Space is tight, so it is best to go early for a seat. *Mimosa horrible, so select another drink. *Ok music, but too loud. *Menu is limited, for Celiac Folks. However, overall it's a good place to try out, if your looking for a good brunch and you don't have any food allergies. So Enjoy!

Yelp
After attending G's boat brunch And loving it i wanted to go back and try the restaurant which offers a larger menu. The decor at G's is pretty eclectic where some tables are positioned near couches where you can sit on the couch while you enjoy your brunch. G's also offers an extensive Bloody Mary menu. I unfortunately do not like Bloody Mary's but if I did I would be in heaven. I ordered the brunch dip which was amazing. A warm dip of tomato, bacon, avocado and sour cream that is eaten spelt is delicious. I love breakfast appetizers but who doesn't! I then had the eggs Benedict with bacon and avocado which was just as good as the dip! Everyone enjoyed their meal, atmosphere and service. I highly recommend G's for breakfast or brunch!

Yelp
Lit. Yelp says the review is too short. But nothing else needs to be said. Pancakes gave me diabetes and I'm not even mad, they were so good. Eggs and avo were California level. Wish we came here sooner and didn't eat at a shit nugget of a place called Burger Land that isn't even on Yelp bc the owners know better than to subject themselves to verbal abuse.

Yelp
Yummmm. Tastes how it looks: delicious. Service is fast and friendly. Decor is cute. There's a stripper pole, which may or may not be used . We had chicken and waffles and eggs benny.

Yelp
Gs is one of my favourite little spots to hang out- they do brunch, lunch and dinner on some nights and let me tell you, it's full of hip and swagger but for good reason! The G in Gs, stands for George- who you'll recognise as the charming gentleman who generally greets as you walk in. If he's not at the restaurant, he's on the Gs boat and if you can't find him there, he's likely at Ludwig! Anyway, when I first arrived in pretty Amsterdam, I was told about this great brunch spot, but given my limited (good) food experience in Amsterdam, I assumed the restaurant was a unicorn. In other words, non-existent, made up and fabricated with many of us randomly chasing the dream. But imagine my surprise, when I finally made it in on a frosty grey morning- orders were taken, drinks were served and stomachs were filled. We were smart enough to make a booking before hand so the wait was only momentary- it's worth doing on the weekend because getting in here can be tough. They do however only book half the tables, so you can luck out and get in! So things that are a must to order? They're famous for a few things, firstly the bloody marys! There's currently 6 different kinds (YES! 6!) and if you add an oyster (for an extra €3), you upgrade Mary to Mitzy, Mary's sluttier sister! Not into tomatoes? Well.. good thing they have a bunch of other drinks on their menu! Hello bourbon peanut butter milkshake! Then there's the eggs benedict- it also comes in a variety of ways that'll surely satisfy anybody (except if you're vegan because uhm.. eggs). There's also a menu special worth calling out- The Hungry Drunk. This king sized meal comes with eggs any which way, some baked beans and your choice of sides and.. wait for it....... 4 BLOODY MARYS! So you better be hungry and thirsty! Now, if brunch isn't your thing, well poo to you. But come back most Thursday evenings for a bit of jerk(in)' things like chicken, ribs, fries and old school hip hop! Yep, Gs, in a nutshell- good people, good food and good fun!

Yelp
We came here on a Sunday morning and were lucky enough to get a seat without a reservation, although you do get punished for that by being sat at the bar or on barstools by the window (not super comfy). I feel like I either ordered the wrong thing, or the food here looks better than it tastes, because I wasn't too impressed with my "Healthy Benedict". That could be my fault though because I'm currently on a diet that prohibits any and all bread - so my eggs on cottage cheese, avo, and spinach were admittedly a bit sad to begin with. The eggs were poached to perfection but I found the hollandaise and the spinach lacking. My friend ordered the Challah French Toast though which looked completely heavenly and he was very satisfied. Lots of bonus points for the excellent (Friendly! English!!) service, good coffee and good atmosphere. I will be coming back to try the bloody marys!

Yelp
This was by far my favorite find in Amsterdam. A brunch and cocktail place. What else needs to be said? The decor is fantastic and the people are nice. Reservation highly suggested as it's a small space. The brunch is hearty and a great deal with high quality ingredients and precious presentation. The ginger tea was to die for. Definitely a must-eat-at place in the heart of the Jordaan district of Amsterdam.

Yelp
It is supremely crazy that I had never even heard of this great spot so close to home all these years. Luckily, that has been taken care of and I had my first brunch here today. Let's get this out of our way - the food is terrific! Between us, we ordered the French toast, breakfast burrito, the avocado toast, dauphinoise potatoes, and bloody marys. Everything was deliciously awesome. From the syrup to the toast, everything was near perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed our brunch, and best of all didn't come out feeling bloated and helpless for the rest of the day. Service was great and with a smile, which is something that you almost universally miss at the majority of mediocre Amsterdam establishments. The hosts were gracious and welcoming, often times engaging in interesting stories with the patrons. The interior serves as an art gallery where local artists could exhibit their pictures and drawings/paintings on the walls as hungry people cherish one of the best things in life. There's a regular Sunday evening movie event, too, which explained the dangling projector from the ceiling. Space is congested and we saw quite a few tables for 4 occupied with 2 couples. Of course, anything in the name of great dining, even if it involves being friendly towards others. I really wanted to try the dessert, but didn't have any remaining capacity. Perhaps the next time. In any other city, I would have given G&T's 4 stars owing to lack of enough seating, but this is Amsterdam, and space is at ridiculous premium, so they get what they deserve!

Yelp
Now named G's, this place was everything and more; G's completely lived up to my expectations and filled me with a delicious, true English breakfast. The menu is fun to read, the food delicious and cooked perfectly, the cocktails look so tempting you feel obliged to drink one, and the staff are happy! I can wait to go back again. Best brunch spot in Amsterdam so far for me!
google avatar

Yelp
Love the vibe of this spot! Came in on a wednesday morning and it seated immediately (just 2 people). We got to sit at the bar, and the place was packed throughout our meal. The staff was very nice and answered all of our questions. I got the eggs Benedict with smoked salmon and avocado. The eggs were poached PERFECTLY, and the smoked salmon and avocado tasted very fresh. The biscuit was not exactly what I would consider an English muffin, and it was slightly harder than I would have liked. I got a mimosa and it was standard, though a tiny portion size. Overall I liked this place, but was not wowed by any particular item.

Yelp
One of the best spots in Amsterdam for brunch - cooked by my very talented friend Mia in a very small kitchen. And lord, the magic she manages to prepare in there! You probably think I'm biased and I am sure I am. But I am also right about this place. Everything on the menu is good - no great. Eggs Benedict, BLTCA sandwich, scones, milkshakes (which they will serve again once they replace the broken blender), coffee, ginger tea, challah French toast. And of course: their Bloody Mary. Do not go here if you are in a hurry: you will probably have to wait a bit for a table and service is laid back. Which kind of fits. G's is a little gem that is definitely worth your visit. It has me coming back time after time!
google avatar

Paulien V.

Yelp
What a great vibe and what a tasteful French Toast! The cocktails at 11AM makes me a bit tipsy, but was worth it. The French Toast is the best I've had so far. G's is a small and cosy restaurant, nice interior. I love it how they set the table with dishes, looks like it comes straight from the cabinet of my grandma. Are you looking for a great brunch with cocktails? G's is the best spot in Amsterdam!

Yelp
Small and nice place for brunch on the week end. + Nice service with tasty and comfort food. Try the eggs benedicts in combination with a bloody mary! Cool atmosphere a bit retro, all you need to chill on a sunday morning - It gets crowded fast... don't forget to make a reservation!
google avatar

Yelp
G & T's Really Nice Place is......really nice! I first came here on a tip that they serve Eggs Benedict, which is rare in A'dam. Not only did they have great, reasonably priced Eggs Benedict, the server was chill and very polite, the atmosphere was cozy and warm, and the people were beautiful and urbane. Sitting in the window listening to the women behind me on the couch giggle and speak in French or English depending on which friends stopped by while they drank their cocktails on a Sunday afternoon gave me the feeling I live in a hip, international city. It was a good atmosphere to go along with the good food. :)

Yelp
The food is great. He got the 2 eggs over easy with toast and avocado and beans. I got the drunk-cakes hold the rum. They were smothered with chocolate chips which I had to scrape off bc I care about my health but the cakes themselves were gorgeous. So was the mint tea They were playing some weird slutty rock music before but now it's Nina Simone so I'm very happy. :) wish we came here sooner but it is our last day in Amsterdam

Yelp
This place was amazing. Had to wait a little bit because we did not make reservations but definitely worth it. The menu was pretty funny and the drinks were great. I went with a food connoisseur and he was just as impressed as I was. Would 100% go back just for the bloody mary and peach mimosa.

Yelp
All time favorite brunch spot in Amsterdam. The atmosphere is cozy and fun. The wait staff is always so happy to greet you and serve you your meal. Best latte and French toast in the city
google avatar

Yelp
Gs is such a cool cat, from the Roy Lichtenstein-esque tablecloths to the menus printed on old records to the awesome music. Cool people, bomb vibe! And obviously can't forget to mention the food which is fresh and tasty. Can't wait to try their brunch on the boat!

Yelp
I have been for brunch twice and I absolutely love this place. I knew it was going to be busy so booked a table the first time. Yesterday I hadn't planned ahead as much so came without reservation but they sat me within 5 minutes. I eat dairy and gluten free and was pleased with the new addition to the menu 'foul'. It was delicious, the service friendly and personable and everything reasonably priced. I'm sure I'll be back soon!

Yelp
I really wanted to like this place but some things just didn't make sense. I realize that all restaurants have an off day and when deciding to write this review, I thought, despite all things, would I go back and try it again. Answer: NO. 1. They ran out of poached eggs. I'm allergic to eggs so this was irrelevant to what I would have ordered but it's mind boggling. My fellow diners both had scrambled eggs. A fried egg was also an option. But not poached eggs. Do they make them ahead of time? Did the person who knew how to poach an egg leave early. Huh? 2. I LOVE when restaurants support local artists but it should be appropriate. The current exhibit with naked lady boys and exposed vaginas was just not appetizing. As one of my fellow diners put it, maybe this is a ploy to get you to stay focused and looking down at your food. Maybe... 3. What was up with the uber loud hip hop / rap music? Don't get me wrong. I love me my urban beats. But there's just something unappetizing about hearing the F bomb being dropped and a few N words being thrown around while trying to eat a pretty plain vanilla brunch. The servers are nice and friendly. The potato dauphine is good. The bloody mary's are ok. The bacon is super! But if you have to wait for more than 20 minutes, I recommend you go somewhere else that would be more worth the time. This place definitely falls into more hype than substance.

Yelp
Eggs Benedict with avocado and salmon was well done and tasty. The plate/table interaction was a bit awkward. Slatted tables with a plate that isn't broad enough at its base just doesn't work all that well for cutting up your eggs Benedict. Loved the presentation of the latte in the cocktail glass. That was noticed. I would have loved to hear the tunes bumping a bit more consistently. Cool ambiance. Friendly staff.

Yelp
After the early morning trip that led us in Amsterdam for the weekend, it was time to find some nice, comfy food, for us to get some energy before facing the ice cold weather in the city. Following some advice we got thanks to Yelp, we went for brunch to G&T's Really Nice Place, and we didn't regret our choice at all ! Inside it's warm and cosy, with big sofas & smooth music, it all feels ... really nice :) The staff is friendly and we got our seats pretty fast. The menu is full of promises : scones, breakfast burrito, banana loaf, and a huge choice of sides to go with your eggs - cooked the way you want. We ordered scones and eggs with bacon, potato wedges and a quinoa/feta/mint/seeds salad, and we also had chai latte. Everything was perfect, fine and tasty. We had a "really nice" moment and it was hard to leave and go back outside ! If you're a fan of the Breakfast Club in London (I think the owners of G&T got their inspiration from it, since the atmosphere and the menu have a lot of similarities), then you'll love G&T. It was a perfect way to start our weekend !

Yelp
Heaven on earth. My best brunch experience so far in Amsterdam. Bloody Marys and even Bloody Caesars are on the menu, and they are perfect. They have a great selection for brunch, from eggs, sausage, and thick smokey bacon, with some interesting choices like halloumi cheese. Delicious! The staff is also extremely upbeat and friendly and really helped make the whole experience. This is a must for brunch. Don't forget your reservation a couple days in advance, it's tiny and extremely popular.

Yelp
This place has so much opportunity to be really good but fell short when my food took 45 minutes and the Benedict came out with cold salmon. Great atmosphere and great hip hop music. Make a reservation!

Yelp
I was really looking forward to coming here for brunch per the recommendation of a friend but I wasn't impressed. Pros: -the decor is lovely and the layout is cozy -servers were very friendly and owner came to chat with us at the table -servers give you attention -service is fast Cons: -overpriced! (ex.: 3€ for a coffee that costs 2,30€ elsewhere) -it's not for a relaxed meal because it's a small place so they have to turn tables (we were politely asked to leave even though we weren't even done with our drinks!) -small portions and drink sizes on the skimpy side -loud -the bread was crumbly The waitress was pleasant and quick in bringing me a glass of water, which was slightly larger than a thimble and half full, but then she handed me a handful of teaspoons for me to place in the sugar packet holder, turned around and walked away. Straw on the camel's back.
google avatar

Yelp
It is a lovely cute place with beautiful decoration and interesting bottles behind the bar. George is a great host and loves a chat However, you will not find me here too often, since I really think it is a bit overpriced.

Yelp
We had a really great experience at G&Ts this morning! I had a breakfast burrito that was so excellent and tasty (hello, blue corn tortillas!) and brought a tear of joy to my eye when they asked if I wanted tabasco for my eggs. Oh, yes. My husband had the french toast (served with REAL maple syrup, not stroop or Aunt Jemima) and said that was good too. The service is unparalleled. They were super friendly, and when an oven issue caused our brunch to take a while they gave us some complementary sangria. Very nice. Next time I go I will be sure to bring a crew because the family style brunch sounds just amazing. I think my only criticism is that it is a bit pricey for what it is. The french toast was 8.50 without bacon, 11 with. That is a 2.50 for two strips of bacon. Otherwise, it was quite nice and I look forward to many, many return visits! Also I want to check out the movie nights as well, looks like a fun time!

Yelp
G&T's Really Nice Place feels like a slice of Shoreditch in Amsterdam. Quirky, English-themed, cosy interior, with punters (thankfully not hipsters) enjoying English breakfasts, brunches, cocktails, milkshakes and other drinks. Trendy pictures adorn the walls, and jaunty trilbys hang off small pegs. They like their booze here. In addition to the list of cocktails available, it's also possible to spike non-alcoholic drinks (e.g. milkshakes) with spirits of your choice. In fact, the wide grin on the waiter's face when asking the question "spiked or non-spiked?" almost suggests a pre-determined outcome. Service is quick, friendly and unmistakeably English, and there's also free wifi to be enjoyed. Prices are reasonable for the quality and experience on offer. There were a couple of minor hiccups that prevent it from attaining 5 star glory. Firstly there were no tables available when we arrived, forcing us to wait... in the cold outside. And though my food (eggs benedict) was good, it wasn't quite up there with the very best. But generally speaking G&Ts is a solid choice for breakfast in Amsterdam: charming, great food and friendly, attentive service.

Yelp
What do you do when you're a bit hungover in the 'Dam, starving, and can't be bothered to cook? Head over to G&T's Really Nice Place for...well...a really nice breakfast. Recommended by Flip, the 'Dam CM, it really does hit all the spots. Now, it's not really a traditional Dutch place but rather, as the name may suggest, more British than anything else (despite the manager we talked to sounding more American than anything else). It has a fairly simple menu with about a dozen options including a variety of eggs and my personal favourite, French toast. It also has a range of drinks (and they will spike any of the non-alcoholic options if you so desire) and of particular note is the "Slutty Mary" which is a house-made bloody mary served with a raw oyster. It may not be everybody's cup of tea but it's definitely something to keep in mind if you are feeling adventurous and of sound stomach. My dark rum spiked hot chocolate went down a treat and woke me up for the meal itself. The French toast was spectacular with soft eggy brioche soaked just enough in the cinnamon and milk. The bacon on the side added a salty counterpart to the sweet maple syrup and balanced it out perfectly. If I had any gripes it would be that there just wasn't enough of it. I snuck a bite of the other guys' food and can report the eggs Benedict are worth a shot although I'm with Alex S on putting hot sauce on everything! They also, by random chance, have Frank's Red Hot sauce which is a welcome change from Tabasco. Frank's is usually not found outside of the US South and it turns out that one of the regulars is such a fan of it that they now bring it in especially for him. Now that's customer service!

Yelp
Cool place with freshly made brunch. Went here with the Amsterdam Expat Group for brunch and the staff was great! Nice and cozy place with a home styled feeling. Food was great and fresh! Can't wait to go back. Must go to place in Amsterdam!

Yelp
This place is a great place for a brunch ! I read about it on one of my favourite blogs and couldn't have found it otherwise. From the outside, the place looks like one of those other lovely Dutch houses. Once you enter, this is like coming to a family house. You get a very cozy feeling from the very first minute. The decoration shows a lot of attention to details : hats and umbrellas hanging on the wall, gorgeous pictures and paintings... The service was brilliant. I noticed that they served a spicy milkshake on their menu and asked if they could make a different one for me. They came back with a delicious vanilla milshake with fresh strawberries. The benedictine eggs and the scones were also delicious. I'd definitely recommend that place to anyone visiting Amsterdam.

Michael B.

Yelp
I have eaten here a couple of times. Each time I arrived just after they opened, so I have been able to be seated and order right away before any crowds arrived. It is definitely a smaller place. Since I had heard about it, I ordered the Slutty Bloody Mary. It was kind of small, but it was tasty and a good way to get the day started. My breakfast staple seems to be Eggs Benedict with Salmon, if it is on the menu. The meal was tasty and enjoyable. It was not a huge portion, but did the trick. The location is very small, so if you are the planning type, make a reservation. If you're not the planning type, they leave half the tables available for walk-ins, but probably good to get there early. All-in-all G's is a nice, cozy, enjoyable place for brunch.

Yelp
Very unique and nice place for breakfast. British style dishes ... Very good quality food and very nice and friendly service. Reservation is recommended.

Yelp
I wanted brunch and well... Amsterdam doesn't really do brunch, or so I thought! Thanks to my fellow yelpers I found this tucked away gem and made it my mission to eat here and soon! I made reservations just to be sure, I wasn't taking any chances! Good idea to, people were coming in and having to wait or couldn't be seated at all! Nothing was getting in my way of my brunch! Well actually there was, I ended up completely pigging out and partying a bit too hard the night prior and didn't have the appropriate appetite for the amazing French toast or eggs Benedict my friends had. I stuck with the Ibiza salad (to be healthy) but turned out to be absolutely delecious! Not brunch but still very very good! On top of the food was the amazing service from the ladies! They were all great and very accommodating to us! We had made reservations for 11 but half of our crew didn't stumble in till about 11:35 and they weren't the least bit annoyed. My one friend and I even played some Jenga while we waited! I hear they do jerk chicken on Thursday nights to? Defs worth it to check that out! Great food, amazing service an overall superb brunch experience in Amsterdam!

Yelp
The ambience of G&T's is really darling. We felt right at home immediately. The staff is attentive and kind, and both George & Tanya were on hand and happy to chat with us about their lovely establishment. We had the eggs Benedict, spiked hot chocolate, Pimms, banana load & cinnamon roll. Everything we ate was delicious!! And free wifi! We would absolutely come back.

Yelp
After reading so many positive reviews about this place from my fellow yelpers I was very determined to visit it. And since two of my friends were visiting from out of town craving Eggs Benedict this was the place that immediately came to mind. So around 1:30pm we reached the restaurant , it's one of the charming little places, really liked their decor, its tiny but the place makes a statement. The waitress greeted us and we explained to her that we are expecting two more people and theres three of us so we'd need a place for five. She told us to take our seats outside and once the table clears up she would call us inside. Since the occupants were about to leave... Meanwhile she took our drink orders, and assured us the seats will clear up anytime now, while we were waiting two gentlemen walked inside and took the table that recently became available. Seeing this I went inside and questioned her why we were overlooked? She was like 'oh so sorry' they had a reservation so i gave them the table that became available. I obviously felt irritated and I knew she never mentioned reservations when we came in, so she clearly messed up. But I let it go and asked her when the next table would become available. She assured me that a table of five was clearing up and then we were going to get that one.So i went outside and assured my friends that it would only take 5 more minutes. Right as I said that we saw some more people walk in. And you will not believe it, they took our table... The waitress didn't once say that it was booked for us and she stopped making eye contact and avoiding us, and thats when i felt i had had it. So I went inside and I told her to give my the bill for the drinks she did NOT once have the courtesy to apologize or acknowledge she made a mistake. She handed me the pin machine and walked away... I'm still in disbelief... It was one of the most horrendous experiences of my time here in Amsterdam, honestly the service isn't great here but people are mostly honest and forthcoming. It was incredibly disappointing. I never ate anything there and their pink lemonade was very good but I will surely never go there again. How could you make people sit outside for over an hour and just completely overlook them. I am truly upset I still can't believe this happened. But honestly I'm a true foodie I love restaurants and I know how much hard work goes into setting up a business, I don't randomly enjoy bashing restaurants but if some place -no matter how good they are, disrespect customers this way they are definitely off my list of places I'll ever visit again.

Yelp
Lots of locals, good food and portions rather skimp. Pretty popular joint.

Yelp
The food is great. You must reserve though. The ace is very small so it is hard to find a spot if you are spontaneous. They serve the best eggs Benedict in town. I tried the scones once though and they were store-bought. Their chicken waffel dish is also interesting.

Yelp
Yeah, sorry but the only time this place is worth it is when someone else is popping up and doing the food! Service was ok the last time we went but the eggs Benny was gross. Cold, eggs undercooked and about 1/2 a teaspoon of sauce. Pass!!

Yelp
Delightfully cozy and unpretentious, G&T is everything you're looking for on a weekend morning in the Jordaan. George, one of the owners, gave up his table at the window for us, so we lounged in comfort on the settee there. Our waiter's enthusiasm for the Pimm's lemonade convinced me to order one, and I was glad I did. It was packed with fruit and was the perfect brunch accompaniment. The food was just as delicious. My eggs were accompanied by the unusual Ibiza salad (quinoa, mint, avocado=wow) and a lovely crumpet. (You can choose other sides instead, if you like.) Coffee and juice were also first-rate. Laid-back atmosphere, super-gracious staff, delicious food, reasonable prices. We'll make this a regular stop whenever we're in town.

Yelp
I went here on a Sunday with 2 other people and had made a reservation 3 days ago. When I got there one of the waitresses with short blond hair told me I didn't have a reservation even though I had a confirmation email on my phone. She didn't make that great of an effort to fix the problem. I had to talk to another waitress to get us a table and she was very helpful, got us a table after 30 minutes of waiting. We stayed there to eat because the walk to the other brunch place we wanted to try was over 30 minutes of a walk. I wanted to try this place because it was one of the few places that offered brunch in Amsterdam, but the experience was ruined by the initial bad service. When we were ordering, we were told they were out of French Toast and English Muffin since the baker didn't come in that day, so when i ordered Eggs Benedict, it came with dry bread on the bottom. The Bloody Mary that I ordered was good, but I thought it was too small for the 7 Euros I paid. All in all, this place is an ok place to try if you've never experienced proper brunch before, but as a Californian who was spoiled with tons of great brunch restaurants in LA with great service, I don't think I would be coming back here again.

Yelp
There is definitely a problem in this place. I mean, a serious problem. Look at the other review, they go 5 or 1, no way around, and every bad review involve the very same reason me and my lady had such a bad experience: HORRIBLE SERVICE. But OK, let's try to start from the beginning: we specifically went here for brunch after all nice reviews, and wanted to have a nice dish of eggs and a drink. Upon our arrival the place was crowded but not super crazy, and we took a sit in the large table at the entrance where other three people were already seated. 15 minutes later and after we called them two times we managed to tell the waitress our order. We really wanted to try it, but we should had much better vision and understood how the service was going to be like. We ordered before the three guys we were sharing the table with and before the other two tables around us. And we started to wait. And wait. And wait more. And they started bringing food to the tables around us. They even served a couple who entered in the restaurant AFTER we ordered the food. And we were trying to get the attention of the waitress, but they definitely did not want to contact us in any way and when stopped they said the order was "arriving soon". After more than half an hour, the waitress finally went to us telling us there have been a mistake and our order was lost, and we had to order again. You don't say?!? Mph. Well ok, we reorder again and this time the dishes arrived in 10 minutes. Still after a couple of other dishes. Woah. And when we finally received the order..... Zan Zan! One of the two was wrong! My lady ordered benedict eggs with bacon and we received benedict eggs with ham. NOT DAMN POSSIBLE. We already spent too much time inside the place, we just ate paid and went away as soon as possible, but that was a huge disappointment for us. I can't say anything about the dish itself, as the whole experience was bad enough to ruin our taste.. So be worried. They may have nice dishes, but they have a HUGE issue with organization. Seriously, HUGE.

Yelp
I've eaten at both G's restaurant and also on his Brunch Boat. This review is focused on the brunch boat. For less than the price of one of those tourist canal tours, we received amazing food, drinks & hospitality on G's Brunch Boat. We boarded the boat at 1:30 at the Ann Frank house and were treated to an awesome 2-hour boat ride through the canals of Amsterdam. The boat is spacious, beautiful and was filled with other nice diners. Extremely family friendly, there were two young children on the boat and one baby and they all had a great time as well. The washroom was also nice & luxurious for a boat! I would highly recommend this to anybody visiting Amsterdam (or living here) for a great brunch & an amazing way to see the city!

Yelp
Hard to tell from outside but this place is all kinds of amazing. We got the brunch and some beers/bloody marys and wow! The atmosphere is as if alice and wonderland and JAY Z had a baby. Hard to explain, must see for yourself. Good work Amsterdam, I would like to pack this place in my suitcase and take it home.

Yelp
Cool vive and the food and coffee were delicious... but it was way overpriced. We paid 15€ pp for two tiny eggs Benedict. Not worth it.

Yelp
Great food and service! Would go back again and recommend it to friends. The healthy Benedict was amazing, especially with the fresh avocado!

Yelp
Food is great, amazing eggs perfectly poached, staff is friendly, but it all must be amazing to justify the wait.... An hour outside in the cold. And several tables inside were already finished and the waiters did not ask them to leave, even though there were 4 groups waiting outside. The food is really good, but be prepared for a very long wait...
