G & Z Upcountry Bed and Breakfast

My husband and I stayed three nights here at the start of our Maui trip. It was a great base for exploring the upcountry and visiting Haleakala National Park. Marsha and her husband were excellent hosts and provided good local information. It was so nice to have breakfast items supplied. This is essentially a full apartment, and it was very comfortable. I didn't think we would need the electric fireplace, but I was happy to have it for the cooler temperatures in the upcountry evenings. I would definitely stay here again.

We've spent nine days here, it feels like a botanical garden in a quiet neighborhood with spectacular host and hostess and lots to do within minutes. We especially enjoyed our hikes in the area, our wonderful breakfast before we took off for the day and a nice cool calm sunset each night. We will definitely return, you shouldn't miss this on one of your trips to Maui

Michael is a perfect host. He had everything ready for me once he knew I was going to watch the sunrise up on Haleakala (coffee, pastry, beach chair, blankets, extra jackets, bananas and water). The room was beautiful, clean and very spacious with a nice patio. The best place to stay in.

This was a little piece of paradise. The entire home was beautiful. We stayed in the blue room - which was clean, comfortable, and equipped with the perfect view for my morning coffee. Michael was a superb host with a wonderful attention for detail. Breakfast was delicious and his advice about what to do, where to eat, etc was spot on. Thank you Michael!

Our 1-night stay to be close to a sunrise adventure up Haleakula was nothing short of fantastic! This is THE place to stay if you are planning a sunrise ascent. Michael gives you blankets, warm clothing, chairs, thermos' for tea/coffee, fruit and muffin for breakfast, flashlights, and, most valuable: his advice on when to go, where to go, and what to do!! It was an amazing sunrise, and much of what made it so wonderful was because of Michael. Oh, and the rooms, the entire house, the views from the room balconies, and Michael's hospitality in general: all top notch. Do not visit UpCountry without planning a mountaintop sunrise; and do not plan the visit without a stay at the UpCountry B&B.

Comfortable! Views to kill for! And a host with the most! Felt right at home at his Kula B&B with soft cozy bed, privacy, and a fresh fruit and pastry breakfast. Not to mention our history lesson of Maui and other great stories. And how can I forget the employee of the year Gabby!

Love this place . Great host and accommodations. Good starting point for a trip up to Haleakala

Great views of Maui and the master suite suits your needs, albeit the decor may not be as appealing to some of the ladies.
