G Hotel Kelawai

Pros: -location. Right between two big malls, easy access to Georgetown, and places like Escape are a short car ride away. -rooms are a good size. -very clean. -pools! You can use the one at the G Hotel which was super nice and no one was ever in it. -gym. Again, you can also use the one at the other hotel. Both were well equipped. Cons: -Breakfast. It was just so bad! The variety was good but the execution really needs to be improved on.

I’ve stayed at this hotel a few years ago. As it was an impromptu solo trip, it is the hotel I remembered for its location, being flanked by Gurney Plaza and Gurney Paragon. I also discovered it is within 10 minutes walk to my favourite Hokkien Mee stall at Pulau Tikus. Arrived at the hotel around 10am. So was quite pleased I was given a room way before check in time. The welcome ice cream scoop was delightful. Room was spacious and functional. In-room fridge had some free soft drinks so that was quite a surprise. Very big and spacious shower stall in the bathroom which was great for me. Had a look at the roof top pool. There’s a small indoor function room next to it. Suitable for small events… view was great!

Had an excellent stay here. Greeted with dessert when we arrived for check in. Check in and check out process was smooth. Porch parking was available on site. Staffs and security were extremely welcoming and friendly. Room was spacious and clean. Air conditioning was working well. Toilet is spacious and clean too. Thank you for the excellent stay. And thank you for the birthday cake!

G Hotel Kelawai has been my go-to hotel for years, and it truly never disappoints. The service is consistently excellent, the rooms are always spotless, and the overall experience is seamless every single time. The location is incredibly convenient — just steps away from Gurney Plaza, Paragon Mall, and close to all the attractions along Gurney Drive. Whether for work or leisure, it makes everything easy and accessible. What really touched me recently was the thoughtful gesture of surprising me with a birthday cake for my birthday. It was completely unexpected and genuinely heartwarming. G Hotel Kelawai is more than just a hotel to me — it is truly my home away from home. I always look forward to coming back, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Penang. 💛

My whole family members annual gathering for CNY is at G Hotel Kelawai. Booked for 4D3N for family members coming back to penang CNY. G HOTEL kelawai rooms are beautiful , clean and comfortable. We are loving our stay , so convenient to gurney plaza and paragon for shopping and dining. Must call-out a special mention for front-desk guest officer Mr.Louis Law, he is friendly, polite and pleasant, helpful and attentive, cheerful and welcoming, very detail and speed and prompt. I have many rooms and separate bookings, but Louis is very good, he carefully check it all out and explained to me all the booking details and inclusion and benefits and government fees. Louis guest service is very good, very happy and will definitely enjoy our stay in G Hotel kelawai.

We had a very pleasant stay at g hotel Kelawai, from 4 - 9 Dec. The environment was quiet and peaceful, which made it very comfortable for resting. We especially liked the pool on the top level — it was a lovely space to relax. The hotel is very conveniently located between two malls and is easily accessible by Grab, which made getting around very convenient. What truly stood out was the excellent service from the staff. Everyone was friendly and helpful, and I would like to make special mention of Boon, who went above and beyond to assist us. When my family members were down with stomach flu and too weak to walk to the breakfast café, Boon kindly helped to prepare breakfast for me to bring up to them. The front desk staff was also very understanding and allowed us a half-hour late check-out as my family members were unwell. This thoughtful gesture meant a lot to us. Overall, awesome service and a hotel I would gladly recommend. Thank you to the team for making our stay comfortable despite the circumstances.

It’s located right next to gurney plaza which makes it easier for us to eat and shop! It has a lovely pool, room was spacious and staffs were are friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet was pleasant too. Love that parking is available too! Would definitely come back again for our next trip.

We spend 6 days and 5 nights at the G Hotel Kelawai and enjoyed our stay throughout the week. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was great to be able to explore the facilities at the sister hotel, G Hotel Gurney as well. The location is convenient, being walking distance between Gurney Plaza and Paragon which provides ample food options throughout the stay. Both hotel bars are also a must visit!

The G hotel is modern and spacious and impeccably designed. The furnishings throughout the hotel are high quality and well thought out. Great job interior design team! I booked a club room. Unfortunately the hotel was at capacity and I had to wait for an hour after check in time to have access to the room. The room was also located on level 7, a short elevator trip up to the club lounge floor. Not on the club floor itself. For NYE the club room manager kindly booked an inside table for me and my guest. Although the table was reserved, our NYE party swag and wine was cleared away when we went to check out the poolside NYE entertainment. The staff were obliging to replace the wine, however our table was reassigned to other guests. The hotel room itself was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Apart from the few minor inconveniences, the attentiveness and hospitality of the staff was exemplary- especially in the club lounge. The floor and beverages in the lounge were extremely good. Overall, a great place to stay during a very busy time of year.
