G Hotel Kelawai

I stayed at G Hotel Kelawai during a business trip, mainly because of its prime location right next to Gurney Plaza Mall. It turned out to be an excellent choice! The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and well-equipped with cool amenities. The bathroom was massive, and I particularly enjoyed the toiletries—shampoo, shower gel, and body lotion were all great. The TV had a wide selection of channels, which was a nice touch after a long day. The only minor downside was the view, which mainly faced another apartment, though I could catch a glimpse of the sea. The dining experience was another highlight. Whether it was breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the variety of food options was impressive, and more importantly, everything was absolutely delicious. The lobby had a stylish and welcoming atmosphere, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The modern decor added to the overall charm of the hotel. Overall, I had an amazing stay and would definitely consider returning. Perfect for both business and leisure travelers looking for comfort, convenience, and great food!

In my opinion still one of The best hotels in Penang. ||Clean comfortable well designed rooms. Strong hot showers, AC works well, superb location in between 2 malls & facilities! ||One of the very few best hotel gyms, well equipped & maintained. ||Nice roof top pool & bar. Well trained staff, especially front desk staff Mr.Farhen was exceptional, he help sort out a booking mistake, gave us joining rooms & late check out! I’ve stayed here many times & usually very impressed by housekeeping staff. ||This time there were 2 ladies staffs shouting across the rooms. ||As we just checked in, jet lagged & was trying to take a nap, we had to tell them to be quiet(the reason for the 4 stars rating). Regardless, this is still my favourite hotel in Penang!||30 Dec 2024

What a gorgeous hotel! I would HIGHLY recommend. From the decor, through to the service, facilities and service, this hotel is of high standards! The infinity pool through to the sky deck area, what amazing views or sunrises, sunsets and a Birds Eye view of Penang city! The daily buffet breakfast has wide range of options, from traditional to western - caters for all taste buds! Hotel is also conveniently located right next door to the Gurney mall, which has a wide range of shops and some excellent restaurants! If you’re looking for a touch of luxury, great service and a place conveniently located, must stay here! Cannot fault this hotel !!!!

The G Hotel Kelawai is fantastic! Great location, exceptional rooms, rooftop pool/ lounge, restaurant. The hotel staff are all phenomenal! They are so kind, helpful, and provide excellent service. Special recognition goes to Jordy in the lounge roof top /bar area. His customer service was especially outstanding!

Great location near to Gurney plaza and Gurney Paragon. Excellent service, amazing room and the best part is you can take the buggy to go shopping even though it’s a short 3 mins walk. We booked the executive premiere room to accommodate an extra bed, it comes with access to the exclusive club at level 24, including complementary cocktails and snacks from 6-8pm. The view up at Gravity is spectacular! Will go there again.

G Hotel Kelawai is an excellent choice for a stay in Penang. The location is perfect, conveniently near the big shopping mall Gurney Plaza. We were greeted with a welcome ice cream upon arrival, which was a nice touch. The rooms are spacious, well-maintained, and comfortable. The staff are incredibly attentive and friendly, always greeting us warmly when we returned to the hotel. We requested extra water, and it was delivered promptly. Overall, a fantastic experience—great job, G Hotel Kelawai!

Business trip to Penang and stayed here as it is closest to our office. The location is excellent. Room was clean and comfortable and had what was needed. Wifi was ok. Tv ok but no international news channels that I was able to find. Gym is adequate. Rooftop bar with a nice view. I’d stay there again for sure.

Great hotel for close proximity to Malls, FoodStreet, Beach Coast walks etc. It has very couteous n professiinal customer service with a kindest smile that warms your hearts each time you past them by. Aboveall, rooms and amenities are well design, fresh and clean too. Such a comfortable outstanding place to welcome every guest. This is my second time here. There is so much creativity in their food offerings in and buffets specials every weekend too. Its really a go to hotel with reasonable pricing of a 4 star hotel. I will be back the next visit to penang.

The G hotel is modern and spacious and impeccably designed. The furnishings throughout the hotel are high quality and well thought out. Great job interior design team! I booked a club room. Unfortunately the hotel was at capacity and I had to wait for an hour after check in time to have access to the room. The room was also located on level 7, a short elevator trip up to the club lounge floor. Not on the club floor itself. For NYE the club room manager kindly booked an inside table for me and my guest. Although the table was reserved, our NYE party swag and wine was cleared away when we went to check out the poolside NYE entertainment. The staff were obliging to replace the wine, however our table was reassigned to other guests. The hotel room itself was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Apart from the few minor inconveniences, the attentiveness and hospitality of the staff was exemplary- especially in the club lounge. The floor and beverages in the lounge were extremely good. Overall, a great place to stay during a very busy time of year.
