G Hotel Kelawai

We had a very pleasant stay at g hotel Kelawai, from 4 - 9 Dec. The environment was quiet and peaceful, which made it very comfortable for resting. We especially liked the pool on the top level — it was a lovely space to relax. The hotel is very conveniently located between two malls and is easily accessible by Grab, which made getting around very convenient. What truly stood out was the excellent service from the staff. Everyone was friendly and helpful, and I would like to make special mention of Boon, who went above and beyond to assist us. When my family members were down with stomach flu and too weak to walk to the breakfast café, Boon kindly helped to prepare breakfast for me to bring up to them. The front desk staff was also very understanding and allowed us a half-hour late check-out as my family members were unwell. This thoughtful gesture meant a lot to us. Overall, awesome service and a hotel I would gladly recommend. Thank you to the team for making our stay comfortable despite the circumstances.

It was a chance booking at G Hotel Kelawai. Stayed on 21Nov for 3 nights and we did not regret it at all. The service was awesome, especially the concierge. They have this unique shuttle service to the nearby Gurney Mall on a golf cart. One of the afternoon, we were stuck in the mall because it suddenly rain heavily. We went over to the sister hotel (G Hotel Gurney) which was beside the mall and relay our predicament. The concierge there arranged for the golf cart to come over and pick us up to G Hotel Kelawai. How awesome was that. ||||And another unique service is that we were able to have breakfast at the sister hotel (G Hotel Gurney) even though we stayed at G Hotel Kelawai. We did this on one of the morning just to have a taste of the breakfast. Thank you G Hotel Kelawai for a great stay. Highly recommended!!

Convenient location. Excellent staff service. Breakfast spread is good but do wear a sweater as the place can be quite cold. Staff is very flexible and extended our check out time. Will definitely recommend friends this hotel should they visit Penang as the price is pretty reasonable for the room size.

Love the hotel location situated in between 2 large malls. They even provide cart service to send guest to the mall. The reception staff nithra is friendly and responsive to guest request and enquiry. The security officer is also very helpful. Overall had a pleasant stay. If there is suggestion for improvement, the tioleteries such as cotton pad and tissue provide should be more..

We had a very pleasant stay in this hotel. The guard, receptionist, housekeeping, dining, the foods, the accomodations and everything about this hotel is very welcoming. They really trained their staffs well. Polite and always greet us appropriately. Room quite spacious and clean. This hotel more calm than the G Hotel Gurney and the services far more better in here. The rooftop pool water is warm and there is towels & toilet available for changing. There is bar beside the pool. Nice view at night. We book this hotel last minute. Affordable. Ample parking available. Near Gurney plaza with just walking distance. Will come again later and definitely will choose this hotel again.

Comfortable relaxing stay. Choose this hotel as next to the mall as was raining whole day. Short 1 night stay. Premier rooms all good and comfortable. Bed /pillows great. Good space. Bathroom good as expected too. Buggy service standby for those in need to go to the mall. Stayed at G hotel last year, preferred the rooms here as feels much newer. Breakfast spread good. Location great as easy to move about, also if it rains, mall, restaurant/cafe all just next door. Staff all Good. Thumbs up to the door man/ Guard as really friendly and helpful. This hotel checks all the boxes for location and value. Sandwiched between Gurney Paragon and Gurney Plaza malls both offering great shopping experiences and fantastic supermarkets, as well as an abundance of F&B choices. It’s also a short 10 mins walk to Pulau Tikus where my favourite Hokkien Mee and Ravi’s Appam stalls are. And now I can even take RapidPenang’s service 101 to Penang National Park for a hike. Rooms are well appointed, free soft drinks in the minibar. Complimentary welcome ice cream. Nice roof top pool. Great for a short getaway. Will be back and highly recommended!

G-Hotel is in a great location with very attentive staff. The rooms are impeccable, with gorgeous views across all of Penang. It’s only a short motorbike or Grab ride to the heart of the city, where you can enjoy amazing food and incredible cocktails. I had a wonderful stay and would love to come back.

The G hotel is modern and spacious and impeccably designed. The furnishings throughout the hotel are high quality and well thought out. Great job interior design team! I booked a club room. Unfortunately the hotel was at capacity and I had to wait for an hour after check in time to have access to the room. The room was also located on level 7, a short elevator trip up to the club lounge floor. Not on the club floor itself. For NYE the club room manager kindly booked an inside table for me and my guest. Although the table was reserved, our NYE party swag and wine was cleared away when we went to check out the poolside NYE entertainment. The staff were obliging to replace the wine, however our table was reassigned to other guests. The hotel room itself was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Apart from the few minor inconveniences, the attentiveness and hospitality of the staff was exemplary- especially in the club lounge. The floor and beverages in the lounge were extremely good. Overall, a great place to stay during a very busy time of year.
