Amazing hotel in Lugano. First time in Lugano and this hotel. We were lucky enough to get upgraded to a junior suite which was lovely since we were celebrating a recent engagement. The room was modern, spacious and clean. Nice view of the square in front of the hotel. We did not experience any noise during our stay and we loved the proximity to everything. Steps to the tram that takes you up to the train station and the ticket is included in your stay which is lovely. The breakfast also had a nice selection. They have a restaurant on the main level - we didn’t try it this time but the menu did look appetizing. The staff were all very friendly and helpful during our stay. Can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend!

Great location to walk through Lugano and enjoy the local town. The room is spacious and the breakfast rich with fresh fruit and meat. As I was traveling for work I missed in the room a place to sit and work on a desk. I can recommend the hotel if you don’t want to work in the room.

What a great discovery was this boutique style hotel! The Gabbani family seems to do it all..... A sweet little hotel on the top floors, overlooking a courtyard in the center of what was seemingly an old old convent! The courtyard is the lovely restaurant, next to the most amazing bakery. Had to have the Mont Blanc daily. Across the way is the family Salumeri and they also have a cheese shop. |Our room was super comfortable, and the bathroom was divine. My only comment is that for a junior suite, the "suite" consisted of a chair, and there was very little storage. Like no drawers. |Nonetheless, it was a delightful stay; the staff was great and the location can't be beat.

I stayed one night @ this hotel during the holiday season. The location could not be better. In the heart of charming Lugano and you can walk right from the train station to the hotel. ||||I was very pleased with the size our our room / bathroom. Incredibly roomy and spacious, even by American standards. The bathroom was large with a very nice multifunction shower, pretty tub. We were greeted at the reception desk by a courteous employee who was clear in communication and what our breakfast options were. ||||The Gabbani group owns various restaurants and another property in Zurich. We took advantage of a discount coupon we were given to eat at one of their restaurants and had a nice meal. ||||There are two things that I want to point out: The room had only two bedpillows. Standard size. That's it. Hard for me to understand how a hotel could only provide such substandard bedding. The second thing is: If you were disabled or injured - do NOT stay here. The entire property is tight and jammed. You could never be able to navigate a wheelchair or walker through tight crammed walkways. There are single steps every where. And if you arrive at the hotel after 11 pm, you HAVE to enter the hotel through stairs. Mind blowing that if you were disabled, that you are restricted to entering the hotel before 11 pm. Would also be a challenging hotel if you had a baby stroller.

Location, design and food offering are very good. Last year we stayed in a standard room, this year in the top level duplex room. Unfortunately the rooms are too hot and you can’t control the temperature unless you open the windows. Then you get not only the noise from within the restaurants but also from outside. The mattresses are way too stiff, no proper toppers. No good sleep possible. The worst however it the reaction of the reception. They don’t want to understand that there is room for improvement and just let you go. This place might be a great restaurant, but don’t go there if you wanna sleep properly. They don’t value the guest and feedback. Just excuses and not even trying to fix the situation.

Conveniently located in the center of town and close proximity to train station. We stayed in the “standard” cioccolato room. The room was extremely small with no natural light (one small interior window), and extremely hot! Over 25 celsius in December with the heat off. Bathroom was bigger than the room, but flooded when the shower was used. Adequate breakfast, not exceptional. We did not try the restaurant downstairs but the pastries looked delicious. Would consider staying again with a different room.

A small and beautiful boutique hotel in the heart of Lugano. Embedded in the old town, it offers a limited number of bright, modern and spacious rooms. The hotel also operates a retaurant and a shop with local food specialities. The facilities are all clean and the ambience in the hotel is very welcoming and local style. The breakfast buffet is not big but offers enough choice. Hotel staff is friendly and helping. Hotel guests get 15% discount at the attached restaurant, which offers a yummy choice of local specialities. It was a great stay. I will come back!

Located down town Lugano, this old building has been completely renovated. The room was nice with a large bathroom. Breakfast is high quality with home made brioche. Don't miss the opportunity to eat there. Food is mostly local and was great as well. For wine amateur there is a large offering available
