Gabbia D'Oro

Hotel Gabbia d’Oro is a real gem next to Piazza delle Erbe in Verona. It’s old (very old) and that’s part of what makes it special. The place has a quiet elegance and a bit of quirkiness: a tiny vintage lift, huge brass keys, and a bar that feels straight out of another century.||What really makes the hotel stand out, though, is the service. It’s simply first-rate. Check-in was easy, they helped with transportation and dinner reservations, and everyone I met was kind and genuinely thoughtful. The bed was comfortable, and the room had a separate sitting room.||As an example of the service, I had a very early flight, and as I sat in the lobby waiting for my taxi, the doorman brought me a cup of coffee and two croissants without me even asking. That small gesture encapsulated the entire experience. It was warm, personal, and full of old-world care.||A beautiful, memorable stay that I’d recommend without hesitation.

We haven’t seen this hotel style in a very long time. Amazing boutique, perfectly and centrally located. Amazing team, helpful and welcoming. Bathrooms are immaculate, hotel rooms are spacious, and decorated with charm - would definitely book again !

Superb staff, service and breakfast. The rooms are fine, but the service at this hotel really sets it apart. The staff is friendly, super helpful and always available to assist travelers. A fine experience.

Fabulous five star hotel. My husband and I stayed just one night and regret not staying another! ||The location is PERFECT on a quiet street just around the corner from the main town square. Several great restaurants around the corner. Walking distance to all the main sites and attractions (including the arena and Juliet’s balcony). ||The service was impeccable. They checked us in early and let us stay late. They even arranged a private driver to take us to Lake Garda (where we were staying next). Five star service through and through. ||The photos online don’t do justice to the historic beauty of this hotel. The antiques, frescoes, artwork, and furniture all have classic Italian elegance. The room we booked (a junior suite) was large for European standards and has a separate sitting area and place to keep our luggage. ||Romeo and Juliet (the tropical birds) were beautiful and added to the hotel’s quaint charm. ||We can’t wait to return to this exceptional hotel during our next stay in Verona.

Very pretty and historic boutique hotel in a great location in Verona. It has AC, which works great! However, despite getting approval for a late checkout and having the do not disturb sign on the door, staff tried to enter while we were sleeping in, which was unsettling.

Excellent location right in the middle of everything, no need to get taxis. Service is impeccable. The lobby, lounge and dining areas are beautiful straight from a movie. The rooms could definitely use some work, that was the only downside of our experience. The bathroom didn’t even have body lotion, the room had a shutter/window locked at night which was an unpleasant experience as we felt trapped. Overall, only downside was the room, as it also felt too small and tight, filled with unnecessary furniture in such a small space.

We absolutely loved this hotel! It is absolutely gorgeous and incredibly unique - lovely old school decor with lots of color and personality. The staff are incredibly attentive and kind. They were extremely sweet to our 2.5 year old son and eagerly anticipated our needs with a young child. The breakfast was absolutely beautiful and delicious! We we so blown away by the attention to detail and beauty of the property. It is also spectacularly located just steps from Piazza Erbe and all the main sights. We highly recommend this lovely hotel!

The Hotel Gabbia D'Oro is a charming hotel located conveniently at the Piazza delle Erbe. The hotel offers an abundant and tasty breakfast surrounded by old world elegance. The staff are gracious and helpful. I would gladly stay here again.

Absolutely the best hotel to stay at while in Verona. First thing you'll notice is the hotel service is outstanding. From the moment you arrive they treat you like kings and queens. Very attentive to every need. Beautiful seating areas throughout the main floor. Quaint bar area and very - very nice breakfast room with great food and, again, incredible service. The rooms are spacious and quite unique. The location is perfect, just outside Piazza Erbe and close to so many restaurants. Also walking distance to other piazzas - large and small. I would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here again on my next visit to the beautiful city of Verona.
