We stayed in one of the suites at Hotel Gabbiano Azzurro and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. The views from our room were simply breathtaking, and the suite itself was spotless, with a stunning bathroom featuring elegant marble counters.||One of the highlights was dining in their restaurant – truly 5-star quality. We enjoyed a four-course meal made entirely with local fish, and every dish was exceptional. We were honestly left speechless by the flavours, presentation, and overall experience.||The private beach was another highlight – beautifully maintained, with fresh towels provided, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy the crystal-clear water.||What made our stay even more special was the staff. Every single member of the team was amazing: attentive, warm, and genuinely caring. They made us feel welcome and looked after throughout our entire stay.||This hotel exceeded every expectation and we cannot wait to return. A truly perfect escape!

Incredible stay! Very accommodating staff to help with booking taxis and excursions. Stunning rooms and views. Best breakfast buffet I’ve ever had. Great private beach with beach bar and really appreciated the ability to hangout at the beach after checkout and use a shower room before heading to our next destination. Hope to stay again. Thank you!

Everything for us was perfect - walking in for the first time we were impressed by the beautiful reception area and exceptionally friendly staff. Our comfort room (227) was just lovely, everything we could need and a superb shower room equipped with huge fluffy towels. The view from our balcony was amazing, we could sit for hours and never see everything! Breakfast was really good with a very large choice of quality dishes to choose from. We enjoyed our lunches, a good menu and beautiful seating area. We had dinner twice, loved the open air restaurant and excellent food. |The beach area is very nice, we didn't hire sunbeds but just walked down there and took a dip in the clear, warm and shallow bay - beautiful.||Golfo Aranci is a pleasant small town with a nice waterfront, several interesting shops and plenty of cafes and restaurants. The hotel arranged an evening dolphin watching boat tour and a private full day excursion exploring the area, both very enjoyable.||Overall a wonderful relaxing, luxurious break in one of the best hotels we have experienced - service impeccable in all areas and spotlessly clean everywhere. We will return.

We liked the hotel overall, and I actually enjoyed the atmosphere. Our room was pretty basic — for three people it felt quite small, though it did have a balcony, which was nice. Everything was compact but fine for a short stay. We mainly came for the beach, and luckily the weather was perfect, so that made the trip worth it. Service in the hotel was also very good. One thing to mention: the sunbeds on the beach aren’t included — you need to reserve them and pay extra every day. At first I didn’t realize how it worked. I’m sure it’s mentioned somewhere online, but when you’re booking a hotel there’s so much info that some things get lost. Not the nicest surprise, but okay once you know. Breakfast was really nice — especially the fresh bread. Everything tasted fresh and good quality. The staff were always friendly, you could easily ask for another coffee or anything else you needed. Same at the beach — the team there was great too. So overall, I’d definitely like to thank the hotel and the staff. We enjoyed our stay and had a good time.

We have just returned from a 7-night stay in the Junior Suite Cala Moresca - Sea View. I had seen some rather negative reviews just before going so I wasn't quite sure what to expect. From the moment we were greeted by the owner/manager we were enchanted by this place! We were blessed by some wonderful weather for the first week in October and spent at least part of every day in the sea and lounging by it! The hotel benefits from the most stunning private area of beach. (I might not have been thrilled if we had to pay for the loungers and parasols but they -and the clean beach towels every day - were free at this time of year.) The sea was the most beautiful turquoise from our balcony and crystal clear when you were in it! We took the strands of broken-off sea grass at the sea's edge as a sign of the water's good health. It was only to be found at the hotel end after a pretty windy day. The sea is unusually shallow so you wade quite far before being able to swim. But this felt like the best walk of the day - watching little fish darting about and the sun's patterns on the water. From the hotel you can walk quite easily to the fishing port and, even at this time of year, we visited two fish restaurants (one very close to the hotel) twice and ate at the hotel the other evenings. The food was excellent in all of them! We tried a different Sardinian wine every night - again, very good! Our objective was to have a relaxing holiday and that was certainly achieved! We did go on a dolphin watching trip which was great and one afternoon we took a train (which was actually a replacement bus service) to Olbia. Our room was lovely with two balconies overlooking the sea. The bathroom is quite dated but the bath/shower arrangement will soon be replaced, I gather. Still, the shower, with its retro jets, was good fun! Without exception the staff were welcoming - a comment that I've seen repeated in many reviews. This helped to promote the relaxing ambience. Thankyou all for helping to make our stay feel so delightful!

We are a family of five, with three teenagers and spent 10 nights in the two bedroom private pool suite with sea view and it was amazing. Super big, fantastic view and exceptionally clean. |We absolutely loved everything about the hotel, the food, the location and the staff are truly outstanding! Particularly housekeeping - it’s a big suite and it was cleaned to perfection. |The hotel has a wonderful marina location and it’s very picturesque, it also has a private section on the beach, which is a little cramped but that’s Italy ! |Overall we have been overwhelmed by the kindness and hospitality this hotel and Sardinia has offered and will definitely return in the future. |We ate in all the best restaurants in Golfo Aranci but Blu is as good if not better than them all. |We took two boat trips one to the North, which requires about a 50 minute drive first, which was spectacular and one to the Tevolara island which was nice but less overwhelming ! The hotel reception answered all our questions before our visit and assisted with everything we needed to make the most of our trip during our stay. This included organising car hire for 3 days for us, with the car delivered to the hotel reception. |We have NO hesitation in recommending this great hotel with a beautiful beach, crystal clear sea and the friendliest of staff!

Beautiful location, but some disappointing aspects The hotel is in a lovely spot with direct access to a beautiful beach and stunning views – no doubt about that. The rooms were clean and the overall setting is charming. However, we found it very disappointing that the hotel charges an extra €40 per day for the use of sunbeds on their beach – especially considering they were almost always empty. It feels like a clear case of taking advantage of guests, and frankly, it left a bad impression. Breakfast was decent, but the service was inconsistent. Most of the staff didn’t seem particularly attentive or organized, which was surprising for a hotel of this level. The only real standout was Sara, who was always friendly, professional, and on top of things – she made a big difference. Overall, we had a pleasant stay, but the extra charges and the service issues make us hesitate to come back. We’re still considering whether we would return. There’s definitely room for improvement.

I usually do not leave reviews but feel a need to do so on this occasion. Flying in to Olbia from Zürich, I stayed here for four nights with my six-year-old son (it was our first trip by ourselves), so I was looking for a good option to ensure we had a relaxed, no-stress experience. This hotel gets a perfect score for everything. We arrived to a beautiful reception with our room ready four hours early. It was ice cold on a 35 degree day and was spotless. We had booked the economy room with a little patio out front - the room itself was cozy and had everything we needed (safe, fridge, and large shower to wash off all the sand from the beach). The restaurant had the most kind employees and offered my son a huge selection on the kids menu. Breakfast was also excellent (pancakes for kids, eggs, bacon, fresh fruit, breads, pastries, meats). The negative edge pool was beautiful, shallow at the start for kids and filled with salt water that looked out at the sea. We ordered lunch there twice right to our lounge chairs. The service was great and there was always someone present to get a towel from or order a drink. A white-sand beach was connected to the hotel and had a special section for hotel guests. We reserved chairs there twice for the whole day, and could order drinks right to the beach. The chairs do cost extra but was worth it as we could just keep our stuff there and walk back and forth to the hotel / room until 19:00 if needed. We spent the day snorkeling in the crystal clear shallow water, chasing fish, playing beach ball and had plenty of room to swim. The hotel is also nearby a great pizza restaurant (two-minute walk) and we did an amazing sunset dolphin watching tour from an agency five-minutes by foot. The town itself has lots of delicious gelato, cute souvenir shops, and incredible views. On top of everything else, the hotel staff were empathetic and helpful. On our last day, after we checked out, we used the pool until our cab to the airport arrived. The hotel staff let us store our luggage and use an extra room to shower before heading off. We couldn’t have imagined a better holiday - I know my son will be talking about this for a long time to come. Thank you Gabbiano Azzurro Hotel for such incredible memories!!
