We are a family of five, with three teenagers and spent 10 nights in the two bedroom private pool suite with sea view and it was amazing. Super big, fantastic view and exceptionally clean. |We absolutely loved everything about the hotel, the food, the location and the staff are truly outstanding! Particularly housekeeping - it’s a big suite and it was cleaned to perfection. |The hotel has a wonderful marina location and it’s very picturesque, it also has a private section on the beach, which is a little cramped but that’s Italy ! |Overall we have been overwhelmed by the kindness and hospitality this hotel and Sardinia has offered and will definitely return in the future. |We ate in all the best restaurants in Golfo Aranci but Blu is as good if not better than them all. |We took two boat trips one to the North, which requires about a 50 minute drive first, which was spectacular and one to the Tevolara island which was nice but less overwhelming ! The hotel reception answered all our questions before our visit and assisted with everything we needed to make the most of our trip during our stay. This included organising car hire for 3 days for us, with the car delivered to the hotel reception. |We have NO hesitation in recommending this great hotel with a beautiful beach, crystal clear sea and the friendliest of staff!

Beautiful location, but some disappointing aspects The hotel is in a lovely spot with direct access to a beautiful beach and stunning views – no doubt about that. The rooms were clean and the overall setting is charming. However, we found it very disappointing that the hotel charges an extra €40 per day for the use of sunbeds on their beach – especially considering they were almost always empty. It feels like a clear case of taking advantage of guests, and frankly, it left a bad impression. Breakfast was decent, but the service was inconsistent. Most of the staff didn’t seem particularly attentive or organized, which was surprising for a hotel of this level. The only real standout was Sara, who was always friendly, professional, and on top of things – she made a big difference. Overall, we had a pleasant stay, but the extra charges and the service issues make us hesitate to come back. We’re still considering whether we would return. There’s definitely room for improvement.

Massively impressed by this hotel It’s quiet which we wanted Staff super friendly and helpful Location is stunning and a 10 min walk into town My only tiny gripe is the cost of sun beds on the private beach That said the beach bar and staff were brilliant and bring drinks out to you If you have kids this beach is amazing it’s 2ft deep for about 100 yards!! Great to let them splash about safely. When we checked out at 11 we didn’t need to leave until 3. We were given full access to the amenities and a room to shower and change in 4 hrs after checkout. Made the day so much better for us.

Absolutely fantastic! Spotless rooms, beautiful location, turquoise sea. Very helpful team, so friendly, nothing is too much trouble. My husband can't eat gluten and the restaurant team were brilliant at making sure his meals were adapted accordingly, with absolutely no compromise on taste or presentation.|The pool isn't huge but is beautiful- unheated but we didn't find that a problem.| We had some stunning freshly caught fish, lobster and sea bream, spectacular! The staff are all extremely polite and well presented- and very hard working!|We felt welcomed and had the lovely relaxing break we were looking for.

I usually do not leave reviews but feel a need to do so on this occasion. Flying in to Olbia from Zürich, I stayed here for four nights with my six-year-old son (it was our first trip by ourselves), so I was looking for a good option to ensure we had a relaxed, no-stress experience. This hotel gets a perfect score for everything. We arrived to a beautiful reception with our room ready four hours early. It was ice cold on a 35 degree day and was spotless. We had booked the economy room with a little patio out front - the room itself was cozy and had everything we needed (safe, fridge, and large shower to wash off all the sand from the beach). The restaurant had the most kind employees and offered my son a huge selection on the kids menu. Breakfast was also excellent (pancakes for kids, eggs, bacon, fresh fruit, breads, pastries, meats). The negative edge pool was beautiful, shallow at the start for kids and filled with salt water that looked out at the sea. We ordered lunch there twice right to our lounge chairs. The service was great and there was always someone present to get a towel from or order a drink. A white-sand beach was connected to the hotel and had a special section for hotel guests. We reserved chairs there twice for the whole day, and could order drinks right to the beach. The chairs do cost extra but was worth it as we could just keep our stuff there and walk back and forth to the hotel / room until 19:00 if needed. We spent the day snorkeling in the crystal clear shallow water, chasing fish, playing beach ball and had plenty of room to swim. The hotel is also nearby a great pizza restaurant (two-minute walk) and we did an amazing sunset dolphin watching tour from an agency five-minutes by foot. The town itself has lots of delicious gelato, cute souvenir shops, and incredible views. On top of everything else, the hotel staff were empathetic and helpful. On our last day, after we checked out, we used the pool until our cab to the airport arrived. The hotel staff let us store our luggage and use an extra room to shower before heading off. We couldn’t have imagined a better holiday - I know my son will be talking about this for a long time to come. Thank you Gabbiano Azzurro Hotel for such incredible memories!!

Disappointing Honeymoon Stay – Misleading, Poor Service, and Not Worth the Price My wife and I stayed at Gabbiano Hotel this past week for our honeymoon, and unfortunately, it was a deeply disappointing experience from start to finish. We booked a suite expecting a special stay, having emailed the hotel multiple times in advance to let them know it was our honeymoon. We received no response — only a generic reminder to pay the remaining deposit. Upon arrival, there was a tiny note saying “happy honeymoon” and a bottle of champagne left in water (not ice). It felt like an afterthought rather than a genuine welcome. The suite itself was nothing like the photos online — outdated, worn down, and poorly maintained. The in-room fridge was broken, and despite informing staff, it was never fixed. As a result, we had nowhere to store cold drinks or food. When we asked for cold bottled water, we were charged an outrageous $18 room service fee. The next night, when we requested complimentary waters as a courtesy for the fridge issue, they handed us two small plastic cups of water. Completely unacceptable. The hotel also falsely advertises having a “private beach” — the main reason we chose this property. In reality, it's a public beach with a small roped-off area. And shockingly, guests are required to pay €60 per day to use the hotel’s beach chairs. This was never clearly communicated and feels incredibly misleading. To make matters worse, the staff was unhelpful and borderline dismissive. We had trouble arranging taxis, and while the front desk eventually assisted, it was clear we were seen as an inconvenience every time we asked for basic help. This hotel fell far short of expectations, especially for a honeymoon. It was overpriced, misrepresented, and lacked even the most basic level of hospitality. We regret choosing Gabbiano Hotel and hope this review helps others make a more informed decision.

Me and my partner stayed a week at this hotel and was easily the worst hotel experience we have ever had - definitely ruining the holiday which is a shame as Sardinia is such an amazing gem that isn’t too ruined by tourism. I have a lot to get into so strap in!||Firstly let’s talk positives because with any experience, there are some! The view if you get a sea view room is stunning and the pool area is fairly nice. The reception staff were also amazing to us and tried their best to help and be understanding despite the language barrier. I cannot remember the names exactly but I believe two of them were called Monica and Georgia. There was also another woman with curly hair who was also amazing! So a big thank you to them…however the list ends there…||The photos and reviews online of this hotel are EXTREMELY deceiving. The regular rooms are basic but the location is stunning so it almost forces you to a sea view room. Some of the bathrooms are old and some are upgraded. We were unaware of this until we arrived. We got shown our room and were underwhelmed immediately which I’ve never experienced. This is not because the room was basic (it was) but because of the amount paid for the room. At nearly 500€ a night, you expect nice high quality facilities like how it appears online. However we were gobsmacked to find the latter false. The ac unit was yellow and degraded, there was a yellow stain on the bed sheets, the light switches were yellow and stained, the bathroom light was barely visible and made a sound like a helicopter, the cups were dirty in the room, the walls were cheap popcorn and the balcony was yellow and basic and all in all the room was extremely basic and outdated - I understand much of Sardinia is like that but this was poor for the money spent. We could not relax in the room so knew we had to say something. We could not believe how different it was from online photos!||We went to complain and were immediately shown a new room (226), they apologised and showed us the room which was pretty much identical but with the renovated bathroom. Which is the room we SHOULD have had. To be fair the renovated bathroom was very nice (even though the noise persisted from the light) but we were still left feeling underwhelmed at the quality. We spent our first day trying to complain about it and received very little compensation (although the receptionists tried their best and even offered a junior suite for half the trip as the hotel was full at the current time). We were then denied this opportunity when, I presume the owner, came and spoke to us and told us to basically suck it up, don’t be spoilt, justify the errors in the room, pay for an upgrade for a minimal discount or just leave the hotel and lose the deposit because she needs to know so she can sell the room to someone else. She was extremely dismissive and rude. We decided we were trying to draw blood out of stone so left the issue and left feeling unhappy with no compensation. I say that, we were given a fruit platter…thanks. ||We thought we had no choice but to put up with it n try forget (which was hard given the room) but it did not end there! Our room was right next to an elevator and given the building is old, the walls and ceilings are thin so we could hear every movement or object or elevator ding in every direction. We could not fall asleep till 11.30pm only to be woken up at latest 7.30am. I have had better sleep in a hospital! When u cannot sleep or relax the whole holiday it definitely ruins the experience and have come away feeling very bitter. The hotel lobby is also old and outdated and I also find it strange you have to pay for the beach when it’s a free public beach anyway. ||Ironically, a few days later when we had our room turned down, we had stains on our bedsheet again - the same reason we complained mainly in the first place! We had no energy left to complain but when you pay money that can get you 2 weeks and flights in a 5* hotel in dubai, you expect the BARE MINIMUM. Speaking of bare minimum, breakfast was sparse with very little options. Basically bread, yoghurt, cheese, scrambled eggs and a couple variations of pork. The view on the terrace is nice but again everything there is very basic and feels like you are in a dark basement. If it wasn’t for the staff being kind we would have walked out in 48 hours. ||I could keep ranting but I will run out of words. Please please please save your money and find somewhere else and don’t get catfished online. If you are going to go and can suffice the noise and poor breakfast, opt for one of the proper suites as they look new and renovated otherwise don’t waste your money. I have never felt more scammed in my life staying at a hotel and would do anything to rewind time, get my money back and find somewhere else. Me and my partner were unbelievably excited to go here and left feeling like we just went on a disaster holiday. You would have to refund my stay here to delete this review - the worst part is everything I’ve said is true and I’m not being dramatic one bit…SAVE YOUR MONEY & AVOID!!! (Sardinia is a beautiful place though)

This is one of the best rooms we’ve ever stayed in around the world!!! Book their best suite if you can – Junior Suite Cala Delfino! It’s newly renovated and absolutely beautiful with the infinity ocean view !!! Even though this hotel is rated 4 stars, it truly feels like 5 stars – the room, the service, and especially the beach are all top-notch. You can contact them through WhatsApp for anything you need, which is so rare, even at 5-star hotels. We requested a private yacht for my husband’s birthday and even a hairstylist to come to our room – she was amazing! Housekeeping was perfect – they never missed a detail. Morning and evening turndown service, plus free water refills in the fridge every day, made everything super smooth and comfortable. And the beach is like no other – a huge, calm lagoon where you can walk far into the water. It’s honestly the best feeling ever. Although it’s a bit hard to find food from 2–5pm in this town, we still managed with a few restaurants open. Overall, this hotel was the highlight of our Sardinia trip. Thank you all the staffs there !! We’ll never forget it and hope to come back one day when we have kids :)
