Gabriele D'Annunzio's Birthplace Museum

Small museum situated in the house where the famous poet Gabriele d'Annunzio lived. D'Annunzios life was extraordinary - he was a poet, an aviator (dropped leaflets over Vienna in World War I), a war hero and a man that became a ruler in a country (the city of Rijeka / Fiume), that he founded after a having started a private war to "return the glory of Italy". Whether you like or dislike him and his politics - his life was something you think can only happen in movies....

A small but nice museum of one of the big names of italian poetry. Praised for his poetry, D'Annunzio preached nationalism and although he never called himself a fascist, he is credited with partially inventing Italian fascism.

A really suggestive museum of one of the most famous Italian authors of the 20th century.

Great museum to visit when in Pescara. I would suggest to have some of the details in English and possibly add a small gift shop. This would bring more tourist and revenue.

Very interesting and so beautiful

This is what I would consider a close encounter with recent Italian history. More than a Gabrielle d'Annunzio birth place, this museum might be a window to the last year's of 18 century and initial third of the 1900 of italy. Modest museum in a very nice locstion. A must GO when in Pescara

Very nice place

Was great but from outside as unfortunately we got the wrong time and day as it's has different openings hours for each day of the week. Shame.
