From the moment we arrived, Gabriëlskloof swept us off our feet with its serene beauty. The large sunken ponds shimmered under the sun, creating a tranquil atmosphere that set the tone for a perfect day.
Two of us indulged in a wine tasting in the elegant tasting room, and even though every wine was excellent, the Oxalis was the clear winner—elegant and full of character.
Afterward, we had lunch at The Kitchen Door, and the food was absolutely delicious. The portions were generous and satisfying. One guest had the sirloin sando, another had the sirloin with a side, and the third had the fish carpaccio with a side. Each dish was beautifully prepared and full of flavor. For dessert, we tried the milktart and the affogato—both were a perfect sweet ending to a fantastic meal.
Gabriëlskloof offers a wonderful combination of great wine, delicious food, and stunning surroundings. What a lovely place. We’ll definitely be back.
