Amazing authentic station stay. This was truly one of the best station stays in years of travelling around WA.
Terrific welcoming owners Helen and Gemma made for a true station experience and the place to be.
Happy hour every evening with real insights shared, great self drive station maps to explore, horse riding, hiking, museum tours, fresh eggs and peaceful rest.
Big thank you to Helen and Gemma, hope to see you both again soon luv the Doigys

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Gabyon. Helen was a great host and we enjoyed her many stories about Gabyon’s history. Really loved the marramana dogs who spent their nights guarding the livestock from dingos. They came to the home paddock on our last morning and were such friendly affectionate dogs. Plenty of places to explore and spending our nights under the stars around a campfire was the best.

Just returned from the station. And it was an amazing experience. Helen and her daughter run a 600hectares re- juvesnating station amazingly 👏! The animals are healthy and beautifully taken care for. The station is clean and tidy. The rooms are neat, the communal showers are clean and there is hot water!! The communal kitchen is set up like " in olden days" but it has all one requires for the stay! It is an " old Australiana experience " not a luxury hotel!! One comes here to appreciate the old not the luxurious and new!! Very quiet and vast location. The hot water requires lighting the "old donkey"!! Electricity only from 6 to 9pm by a generator. No WiFi!! Which enhances the experience I thought!!
It is a working station so do not expect customer service on demand!! Helen puts on happy hour from 5.30 to 6pm which Is a way for travellers to meet and connect which is fantastic idea! One gets to meet and connect with other travellers and learn about the station history and connect with other travellers and learn and hear their stories. Helen will also cook and serve dinner if you prefer. Great way to learn about what she and daughter are doing with the station which is amazing 👏 I had the most amazing 3 days there!! ❤️

We booked a Shearer's Quarter for the family, and the rest of us camped nearby. Despite arriving past 7 pm, they were kind enough to show us around the campsite and explain how the water heating and generator work. The road to the station is unpaved but is easily accessible by 2WD cars. The place is quiet, the night sky was spectacular, and there are heaps of wildflowers around the property. Highly recommend the place and cant wait to get back in the future.

We got back from a 5 night stay an wanted to stay longer. So much to explore. All amenities are there, lots of camping style options.
Helen and Gemma are beautiful souls with hearts of gold and open arms, an Gemma's home made wood fire pizzas are awesome.
Will most definitely be going back to explore more of their property, so much history in the place.
You can ride their horses, go for a bit of a fang on the quad bikes an so much more.
It's definitely a must visit place

Gabyon is the real deal. Plus, Helen and Gemma are such wonderful hosts who went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. We stayed in the old manager’s cottage, which is rustic but very comfortable and clean. Lighting wood under the boiler in the morning for a hot shower makes it all the more fun. Great horse riding tour as well, gave a real perspective on the station. Happy hour with other guests and the hosts adds to the enjoyment. To top it all off, we left with a dozen fresh eggs from the chooks who think they run the place.

We booked for two nights and stayed for four nights. The map of the station had all the places of interest clearly marked and we spent the four days exploring. Helen made us very welcome and we enjoyed it so much we went back in our way home when Pru and Bob were looking after the station while Helen was away and they were equally friendly and interesting. We were in a tent and the weather was fine so we left the fly off the tent and watched the stars from our sleeping bags. We will definitely go back again. Thanks Helen.
