Gagliardi Boutique Hotel, Noto, Sicily - Explore & Book

"Black marble floor tiles, white painted shutters, lofty ceilings and gilded tables… the Gagliardi Hotel is exquisite. Housed in an 18th-century palazzo in the heart of UNESCO-listed Noto, just two steps from the Cathedral of St Agata and the Church of St Chiara, this is a spoiling springboard for discovering southern Sicily. It’s also a space to appreciate the best of Sicilian art and design – every room features changing contemporary exhibitions, mixing with antiques from the owner’s personal collection. Admire the local ceramics, sleep beneath ancient beamed ceilings, wake to breakfasts in an orange blossom-scented inner courtyard. Best of all, the romantic rooftop terrace has huge panoramas of the Duomo and Baroque city skyline; settle in with an afternoon margarita and tasty appetiser. Linger until you see the sun go down. There’s a sense of timelessness and beauty at the Gagliardi, but what makes this hotel so special is the manager’s outstanding hospitality. Don’t be surprised if you hear arias from the kitchen; Giuseppe’s staff are warm, attentive, professional… and happy! Highs Unesco-listed Noto is our favourite of Sicily's stunning Baroque hill towns: ornate honey-coloured churches, sleepy cobbled lanes, superb restaurants and cake shops The hotel’s romantic rooftop terrace-bar features breathtaking 360-degree views of NotoGagliardi’s friendly staff give a warm welcome and are always happy to help Rooms have a captivating mix of modern and vintage decoration - and a focus on local artServed in a leafy courtyard, the delicious breakfasts include the best crema pasticcera Lows No hotel restaurant, but who needs one when you’re surrounded by great eateries?Noto’s streets are narrow so parking is not easy (staff can advise)Some rooms are not completely sound-proof: we could hear faint, muffled sounds from the rooftop terrace in ours, but nothing to lose sleep overAlthough WiFi is free throughout, it wasn’t super speedy during our stay" - Clemmy Manzo

"The small city of Noto is one of Sicily’s most picturesque settlements, full of 18th-century Sicilian Baroque buildings, the whole cityscape seemingly sepia-toned thanks to the distinctive yellow hue of the local limestone and the brilliant Mediterranean sun. And Gagliardi Boutique Hotel places you right at the heart of it all, with a rooftop terrace that affords you a panoramic view of a number of local landmarks." - Tablet Hotels

Can’t rate the hotel but we visited the rooftop bar where the quality of drinks did not meet the setting. We paid €20 for a below average margarita cocktail, glass only half full and €8 for an ‘infusion drink’ which was basically a glass filled with ice, water and a tea bag. For this price you would expect a really great drink. There was a Martini promo event going on with music just a bit too loud. To top the experience our clothes got wet from the outdoor seating cushions. Staff is friendly though and the view is nice.

The hotel is on the perfect location just a few steps to the most beautiful cathedral in Noto. Staff is fried and helpful. Diane at the front desk always carries a positive attitude with her, and the manager at the breakfast room as well. Breakfast is nice and there are 3 cute cats chilling in the garden too 🐈🐈🐈 The room is super clean and as new as it can get. Nice amenities 👍🏻 Rooftop bar’s view is stunning incredible. You must get yourself table for the sunset ⛅️ This is a a small luxury hotel with lovely staff.

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful boutique hotel. Our suite was spectacular. Maria keeps the hotel running smoothly. All of the staff were friendly and welcoming. The roof top bar is offers an incredible view of Noto with amazing sunsets. The hotel is perfectly located in the middle of the city.

We recently visited a rooftop bar that had absolutely amazing cocktails – they were flawless, and the view was truly spectacular. However, unfortunately, the service did not live up to the same standard. It was incredibly slow, with zero attention from the staff. We had to wait a really long time for our food, and even longer when we wanted to order a second round of drinks, despite the place being nearly empty. Another strange aspect was the payment system: after finishing your food and drinks upstairs, you had to go down to the reception desk to pay. There, you had to tell the receptionist exactly what you ordered – and if you didn’t remember the cocktails' fancy names, they had absolutely no idea what to charge you for. Also, the staff upstairs didn’t speak a word of English, which wouldn't be a big problem usually, but not even knowing basic things like "still water" being non-sparkling water made it very frustrating. At the reception, after we somehow pieced together what we had consumed, the receptionist disappeared for about 15 minutes to find change, and when she returned, she handed us a torn 10-euro note. All in all, the drinks and the view were fantastic, but the service experience left a lot to be desired.

Very friendly staff and great view from the rooftop, but disappointing cocktails, very basic for 22€ you pay clearly just for the view, which is a pity because they could have done something good quality all the way.

The hotel is 12 rooms which translates into a feeling of quiet elegance. Maria basically manages all operations and makes sure all of your requests are met. The location is terrific. We would highly recommend this beautiful hotel - even in the “off” season.|My only small piece of advice is do not rent an L class car - the streets in Noto are very small.

We came for a drink on the rooftop terrace, we sat there for 45 minutes and left because we still didn’t have our drink. It was not even busy at all. Worst service I ever had. At least the view is nice ;)

I recently stayed at **Gigliardi Boutique Hotel** in Noto, Sicily, and it was a dream. The hotel perfectly blends historical charm with modern luxury, housed in a beautifully restored building. The staff were exceptional—warm, attentive, and eager to make our stay unforgettable. Breakfast in the serene courtyard featured fresh, locally sourced Sicilian delicacies, a perfect start to each day. But the real highlight was the **rooftop bar and lounge**, offering stunning panoramic views of Noto’s baroque skyline. Watching the sunset with a signature cocktail or local wine was simply magical. With its ideal location and impeccable service, Gigilardi Boutique Hotel is a luxurious retreat in the heart of Noto. Highly recommended!
