Gagyel Lhundrup Weaving Centre

This place has the most beautiful woven silk I have ever seen! Pieces take from eleven months to two years to weave and the colours, patterns and styles vary. Also sell silk jackets and scarves. The owners are wonderful and will show you how to wear the full and half kila, they are lovely people too.

Really cool to see garments being weaved. The shop was also lovely - they had a wide variety of products to suit most budgets and there was no pressure to buy.

Amazing to see ladies at work. Such fine skills and intricate weaving. Wares made by people you watch working, and other local crafts, are available for sale in retail area above. No hard sell with wide price range, expensive pieces of work to many affordable items.

One can observe traditional Bhutanese weaving and also buy handicrafts from the shop located in same building.
