This hotel is both a university club and a good hotel from the 1920's. It has an air of being full of academics with quiet reading rooms and large leather armchairs. Probably not a place that the younger hipsters would choose to stay. With 4 good restaurants from upmarket Chinese, French and local cuisines to a pub-style cafe with real English lager on tap.

This is a historical building linked to Japan universities. I went here a couple of times for social functions and receptions. The atmosphere is a mixture of early 20th century Western architecture with elements of Japanese culture. There's a hotel and restaurant bar. The food is good.

It was the building of Tokyo University in the past. Currently, there are famous Chinese, western food restaurants, 7 imperial university museum, reading room with very comfortable leather sofas and chairs. I would recommend to go for lunch with business partners, or with lovers of the old wood style interior.

Was here for an after party second drinking session and came to know that this place is closely associated with Japanese academy since long. The bar on ground floor provides excellent drinking options with moderate food selection. Tje price may be slightly on the upper end, but the environment it provides compensates it. Except some groups present at the venue.

Direct from Shimbocho station exit 9. Lots of room and there's a little chapel style inside. Place to see.

I love the Showa era atmosphere of this place. And it seems the people there are also mostly older who are very enthusiastic and intellectual.

It is a very outdated facility. But the customer service was excellent.
