An amazing coffee shop, very cool interiors and style. Clearly this was designed which is such a welcoming thing for a cafe. It is great for a casual meeting - inside or outside in the sun. There is plenty of parking outside as well. While i most came here for coffee, the salads are also very tasty.

What is Galani Coffee? Galani Coffee is a café and specialty-coffee space located in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. It was established in 2016 with the goal of promoting Ethiopian coffee in a modern “third wave” coffee shop context. It’s more than just a café: they roast their own coffee, they hold trainings, tastings, and present coffee as a craft. Name & Identity The name “Galani” comes from the Gelan River which runs down the Bale Mountains and through many coffee-growing regions in South Ethiopia. This was chosen to evoke origin, journey and coffee heritage. The branding reflects local transport of beans (for example donkeys carrying coffee) and connects to the idea of origin, traceability and authentic Ethiopian coffee culture. Location & Ambience Address: Jacros – Salite Mehret Rd, Behind the Jackross Villas Compound, Addis Ababa. The space is described as “industrial chic” and quite spacious for Addis Ababa café standards. Upstairs there is a cultural/art space and boutique items (crafts, locally-made goods) alongside the coffee bar. Opening hours (as of recent info): Tuesday to Sunday ~8 AM–7/8 PM; closed Monday.

Galani Coffee offers one of the best atmospheres in Addis Ababa — cozy, elegant, and ideal for both relaxing and getting some work done. The food is excellent, with unique and creative menu options that stand out from typical cafés. However, the service can be slow. After being seated, it often takes a while before someone comes to take your order, which can be a bit inconvenient. Overall, Galani is an excellent spot for coffee, food, and working, especially if you appreciate a calm and stylish environment and don’t mind a relaxed pace of service.

We love the coffee. It’s nice for home use as well. The cookies are nice too. Their service tho meh … it’s not constant. The place looked beautiful, my pictures doesn’t do it justice. I hope they will fix their service and give priority for customers.

Not sure if I should be comparing it to American coffee shops. But this beautiful masterpiece of a coffee shop makes american coffee shops look like food stalls. Just beautiful. And I hope to be back. 👏🏽

Such a rude lady she is on the picture provided.

A calm location to visit if you enjoy coffee. It's also a terrific place to read or study, and you can even bring your laptop and complete work there. Art galleries are also present at this coffee shop. The atmosphere, the service, and of course the meal and coffee we had were all wonderful.
