Why Istanbul Should Be on Every Traveler’s Radar in 2022

"A new waterfront district featuring a cruise terminal, museums, shops, restaurants, and breweries. It revitalizes an area closed for 200 years, providing a culinary and cultural hub with views of the Bosphorus and Sultanahmet skyline."

We came here this evening and the views at Galataport this New Year's Eve were absolutely stunning especially with all the colorful cow statues scattered along the promenade for the art installation! However, the Bosphorus wind was so freezing that we couldn't stay out for more than a few minutes. We eventually had to give up on the walk and retreat to a nearby Duran Sandwiches. It’s a beautiful spot for the lights, the cows, and the atmosphere, but definitely dress much warmer than you think you need to if you're visiting in the winter

Perfect place to people and boat watch. Explore the fabulous Istanbul museum next door then enjoy a delicious meal or just ice cream after. The sunsets are glorious, too.

By far the only interesting part of Istanbul that is clean and not messy and crowd is not crazy. ⛵️ The view is nice but the shopping and restaurants are crazy, trap! 🥘 🤯 Good walking harbor that can see other two sides of Istanbul at the same time from far. Lots of boats operating between toward Bosphorus bridge. With a shopping mall in the beginning of the street with mostly boutique stores some of them don’t have price on items! Restaurants are 5 times more expensive and food prices are crazy !! 💸💲 Restaurent staff are very rude toward customers who doesn’t order crazy amount and refuse to serve dessert and coffee without food! Better to use food chain stores. From Karaköy is accessible in 15 mins walk.

A modern architecture and build right next to the sea. Up scale market nicely designed with original brands :) and almost all the nice eateries. The sea view is blocked by the cruise ships though and you have to go to an upscale and expensive cafe to sit and enjoy the sea view with nice Bosphorus breeze. Nice place all in all to have a good time with family.

Fantastic festival at the time we arrived. Shops everywhere. Lovely to just walk along the shore and shop and eat 😀

It is a complex cultural commercial district with modern and well-organized port promenade, lots of food and shopping. It is divided into existing towns, so check the entrance and exit before entering. There is a simple security check at the entrance.

Galataport Promenade is a beautiful spot by the Bosphorus, modern, clean, and well-designed. Perfect for a relaxing walk with amazing sea views and a lively atmosphere. You’ll find cafes, restaurants, and plenty of places to sit and enjoy the view. Great for both tourists and locals who want to feel the vibrant energy of Istanbul in a peaceful setting.
