Galaxy Bar

Galaxy bar is a very nice and atmospheric whiskey bar in Athens' center on Stadiou street. The parking can be hard so I'd recommend taking the public transport As for our experience we got seats at the bar looking at the bartenders preparing drinks and cocktails. Mr. Stelios the bartender who served us was always smiling and anticipated our every need before we even asked ie refills and snacks. He clearly has a lot of experience and it shows. As for the bar itself it gives off a feeling of an old Athens like the 60s. The walls are decorated with old photos from poets to other members of the then Athenian intelligentsia. The bar back is stacked with every whiskey and beverage one might want. They also serve warm food, salads or snacks. Everything at reasonable prices. I will definitely be visiting again P.S. If you are a smoker like me you can go out into the portico where the bar is located and enjoy a cigarette without the wind blowing on you

Nice, classy bar in the heart of Athens. Lovely cocktails and a really great atmosphere! You get picky bits included with your drinks which was a really nice touch. The bartenders were superb, especially as it was quite busy! Would recommend!

Cocktails were good but the atmosphere and music were the main attraction of the bar. They also serve some complimentary snacks which was a nice touch. Feels like you’re in a cocktail bar in New York in the 60s.

Local, old school bar with great vibes. Drinks come with snacks and are served promptly. Seating inside or outside and there’s standing room too. We had just had a massive meal so couldn’t appreciate the snacks hence no food rating. Would 100% recommend if looking for a local watering hole with great vibes, good service and good prices. We spent €15 and had a martini and a soft drink to give context
