Galaxy Boutique Hotel Lake Tekapo

I would stay here again if I come back.|The rooms have a great view of the lake and it is close enough to it. You will drive everywhere in NZ so having parking spaces there are the hotel just a few flights of stairs away is a life saver. ||The room is clean and well heated. No kitchenette for the room I booked but that was fine as we only stayed for a night. There was a retractable sky light so that we could see stars at night in the comfort of our bed. Unfortunately it snowed the whole night so we could not see any stars.||Only hotel we stayed in that provided toothbrushes and toothpaste.||However, the toilet was so cold. Sitting on the toilet bowl felt like a punishment.||Breakfast. It was included. Bread, eggs and bacon - pretty standard and unlimited. Love it.

Excellent hotel and well placed in Lake Tekapo. We were greeted by friendly staff who kindly showed us to room. Our room was located on the upper floor, so came with the skylight which allows you to star gaze. The views from the large window are stunning and is a huge plus when staying here. The beds were comfortable and provided a relaxing night's sleep. The breakfast is freshly cooked to order, whilst there is also a self-service area with toast, fruit and yoghurt. More than enough choice for my wife and I. The hotel is located around a 10 minute walk to the main bars/restaurants.

Wish we could have stayed another night here! I loved our brief stay. Upon check in, the gentleman at reception was kind and helpful and gave us some helpful tips about restaurants and closing times.||The room was amazing! We ended up with a two room suite with a sitting room, kitchenette and dining area, and a large bathroom. The luxury bathroom amenities were so nice, I asked where I could purchase them! The fixtures and finishes throughout the room were all very luxe and beautiful. It truly felt like a boutique hotel.||The hotel has you reserve a time for breakfast because they cook their hot items to order. The offerings were limited but delicious and sufficient to fuel us for a day of hiking. ||The hotel is walkable to the lake and to the town center and has gorgeous views of the night sky! ||It was pricey (~$300) but 1) we discovered that we had booked on a regional holiday and 2) It's a hotel in a highly visited remote area, and I think it was absolutely worth it.

What a lovely boutique hotel. Stayed in the 2 bedroom lower floor room and was not disappointed. Very impressed by the size and cleanliness of this hotel. Having breakfast brought to the room each morning was such a nice touch. You can opt to eat in their dining room which is also located where you check in. No bar or restaurant at this hotel but a short drive or a nice leisurely walk into town is very easy. Staff are so happy and kind.

Rooms are absolutely delightful. Breakfast was included with booking and was so delicious. Cameron, Ariel and the whole staff went above in beyond to ensure myself and my partner had an incredible time. We had an unforgettable stay at this beautiful hotel. Highly recommend when visiting Lake Tekapo.

The Galaxy Boutique Hotel at Lake Tekapo is a gem! The views of the lake are stunning, and the skylight above the bed is a fantastic feature for enjoying the stars at night. The luxurious bathroom, complete with a deep bath and premium fixtures, adds to the overall experience.||||The breakfast, which is not buffet-style, is a negative detail in an otherwise perfect stay. The waiter, who also manages the front desk, takes your order with a smile. The portions are a little on the small size (i.e., I got one rasher of bacon, small serve of scramble eggs, and a small sausage). The breakfast service just didn't match the boutique feel of the accommodation. The hotel's commitment to service is evident, and the included parking and fast Wi-Fi are convenient perks.||||The location is ideal for exploring the Alpine region, making the Galaxy Boutique Hotel a wonderful choice for a memorable getaway.

Spacious room with complete facilities, very comfortable for me and my child. There’s even a rooftop for stargazing. Breakfast was unlimited with a wide variety of options, and it could even be delivered to the room. The lake view was absolutely stunning. Although we only stayed for one night, it was truly a memorable experience for both of us.

We mentioned during our booking that the stay was for our honeymoon, and we were pleasantly surprised by the thoughtful touches the hotel provided. The room was beautifully decorated, and we received a lovely welcome letter congratulating us on our honeymoon, which made us feel truly special. One of the highlights was the skylight panel above the bed—it exceeded our expectations. Once we turned off the lights, we could clearly see a stunning view of the stars, adding a magical touch to our stay.
