Gale South Beach, Curio Collection by Hilton

The hotel itself is nice and the location is great. My main issue is the room design. First off, the two queen rooms are tiny. No full length closet and next to no place to put anything. The shower is terrible. There is no door + there is clear glass on the shower and a window looking into the shower area from the main bedroom. Also, no lock on the toilet room and the door slides back open. This room offers ZERO privacy. Extremely overpriced hotel that needs to hire better architects and designers. L

My wife and two sons just concluded our six night stay at the Gale. We really enjoyed our experience. The hotel staff was outstanding and extremely helpful. The room was clean albeit a bit small however this was expected as it is a boutique hotel. We spent several days at the sister pool (Sagamore). The pool was warm, clean, and fantastic. Definitely have a few drinks at the Sagamore pool bar as the staff will treat you very well. The rooftop pool at the Gale has spectacular views as well. We ate at Dolce (restaurant at Gale) several times. Excellent food. Can get pricy but it is worth it. Finally, the location is perfect. Thank you to everyone at the Gale for making our holiday stay very special.

The Gale South Beach is a clean, stylish Art Deco hotel with smaller but spotless rooms. The hotel is historic and charming. For me, I felt the vibe is bustling but also very quiet upstairs, making it easy to relax. I didn't hear any noise from my room, and I have no idea what people are talking about with a speakeasy bar. Dolce is a fancy restaurant and seemed to have a low key bar inside. ||The rooftop pool is clean and well kept, and the on-site restaurant, Dolce, is fun and convenient. The staff there is exceptional! ||When we were there the rooftop pool bar was not open but that was not a deal breaker for us. It was so peaceful up there! Beach access is simple, with entry to the beach club just across the street through the Sagamore Hotel. 2 free chairs per room and towels provided. There was a bar at that pool at Sagamore and you could order food or drinks! The beach is right across the street and I walked there every morning after I grabbed coffee to go at Rosetta Bakery. ||A great option for a comfortable, low-key stay in South Beach. Also, easy to walk to Lincoln Road restaurants, Espanola Way and Ocean Drive is a quick walk down the street. ||Very attentive and kind staff. Will return if back in South Beach.

★☆☆☆☆ — Deeply Disappointing Stay at the Gale South Beach I had high hopes for the Gale South Beach, a Curio Collection by Hilton property, but this stay left much to be desired from nearly every angle. Let’s start with the room. We booked a standard suite with certain expectations of space and comfort, only to be placed in a room that felt anything but suite-worthy. The square footage was surprisingly cramped, and it was difficult to understand how the property justifies the suite designation. To make matters worse, we discovered ants in the room — not a minor inconvenience when you’re paying suite prices. We promptly notified the front desk and were essentially met with indifference. No follow-up, no visit from housekeeping, no resolution whatsoever. The issue was simply ignored. Speaking of housekeeping, on our final day of the stay, no one came to service the room at all. After being out for nearly ten hours, we returned to an untouched room and notified staff once again. Rather than handling the matter professionally, they attempted to send someone up while we were actively in the room getting ready for the evening — a completely unreasonable response to a situation entirely of their own making. The breakfast vouchers included with our stay were another letdown. The quality of the food was underwhelming, and the wait staff were inattentive despite the dining area being nearly empty. There is simply no excuse for poor service when there are barely any customers to attend to. Finally, the on-site amenities were so lacking that we found ourselves regularly crossing the street to utilize the sister hotel’s facilities just to get a reasonable experience. When guests are voluntarily leaving your property to find what should already be available to them, that speaks volumes. The Gale South Beach had every opportunity to deliver a memorable Miami experience and fell short at every turn. I would not recommend this property and will not be returning.

A Five-Star Stay with Historic Charm! From the moment we walked in, we were captivated by the hotel's historic Art Deco feel. The architecture and design are truly stunning, giving the whole experience a wonderful, classic Miami Beach vibe. Our room was fantastic—clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. What truly set this hotel apart was the amazing staff. Every single person we interacted with was friendly, professional, and went out of their way to be helpful. The location is absolutely unbeatable. You're within easy walking distance of endless shopping and incredible food options. Plus, South Beach is right across the street! Despite being in a very lively area, I felt very safe and secure throughout my stay. I can't recommend this hotel enough! It's the perfect blend of style, service, and location.

Overpriced and not worth the money! I paid over $1200 for three nights. We arrived on Thursday. Left on Sunday, stayed in room 226 reservation for the first night was put under my friend‘s name but, reservation for the second night and third night was supposed to be put under my name because my credit card was used, but they kept it under my friend’s name. Rooms are overpriced and small. Only one elevator works and housekeeping was horrible on the third day. Our room wasn’t cleaned after we indicated “service” by flipping on the GREEN LIGHT on the wall outside of the room so after being gone all morning and returning at 3 o’clock we were forced to be out in the street for more hours bc our room still wasn’t clean and we were sleepy and wanted to take naps. When they did clean the room they half ass cleaned it. Sink was still dirty from the morning, my bed had hair on it, sheets definitely were changed just beds remade (i have a feeding tube and the same stain was still on the sheets) we had to come in a 8:30p and request towels and wash clothes bc none were left. The accommodations were horrible! Servers were amazing at the restaurant for breakfast. Oh and on the last day we had to keep walking over a dead bird at the front entrance. I will never ever recommend this hotel to anyone and definitely will not be back… No fridge nor microwave either. That have a wine fridge.

Overall great experience! From staff to location, things were great! They also have a nice partnership with a hotel that oceanfront that was helpful with beach access and pool! It’s an older property, not the best wheelchair accessible and stroller friendly hotel, couple steps with no ramps or elevator access otherwise they had elevators to help. Again, great hotel - nothing to stop yourself from coming but just to be mindful to have some help!

We stay at this hotel for two nights in November (Thursday/Friday). The room was clean. The service was good too. The only issue was at the back of the hotel is a night club which plays loud music until 4am so we only got 2 hours sleep each night. If you stay at the hotel try and get a room on 4th floor at the front of the hotel. Our room was towards the back and on one side of the building. We were on floor 2. Apart from that is was a good place to stay.

This hotel property has an antique kind of vibe, but it's very small. There is no on-site parking, so if you have your own vehicle you'll have to valet ($46). The ice machines are far from certain rooms and the elevators are cramped. Our room had a balcony and it was my favorite part of our stay- also the rooftop pool, can't forget the rooftop pool. The views were nice (although there are a lot of neighboring buildings so that's most of it). You're within walking distance of many restaurants and bars, and you have access to the Shelbourne hotel's beach area (which is just down the street). Shelbourne has a full pink pool area, which is perfect for pictures and I recommend for any girls trip! Gale though, was not so much what we expected. The room itself is beautiful, as it's decorated black and white giving this very classy vibe. The hotel has one restaurant, which is also the entrance to the hotel (a little confusing at first). We didn't find anything we liked on the menu, so that was a little disappointing. You can expect to stay up late hearing the thumping through the walls of the club music nearby, as Miami Beach is lined with clubs bumping loud music past midnight. I'd definitely say this is a place for party people or a girls trip. We personally wouldn't come back to visit again.

Beautiful hotel, but not beachfront. The lobby, elevator, hallways, everything was nicely decorated. Service was nice too. The room was beautiful from the bed, the decor, the beautiful rain shower. Unfortunately I got the worst room. See my pictures. My room had terrible view of the hotel dumpsters, was woken up in the morning by the service people dumping trash. The room was very noisy, and I couldn't figure out why!!! See my pictures, RIGHT OUTSIDE MY WINDOW, my room was directly next to the hotel large A/C units.

Where do I begin? This hotel is cute, it's historic, it's renovated, and has robes, slippers and room service. The rooftop Pool is cool too. And that's the good part. Whether it's Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday night the disco music pounds till 4 AM. The construction noise begins in the morning and occurs randomly throughout the day. On the day of checkout, I swore someone was tearing up the bathroom while I was in the room, that's how loud it was! My toilet malfunctioned, so after two nights, Cornelius kindly moved me to another room. The windows are not tinted if you have room 201, don't walk around naked or even change clothes with the shades up! No kidding that the cheaper rooms are small!!! Worse than small, there is no furniture to sit on nor place a room service breakfast tray on! Whatever, will I stay here again? Nope! There are better places to spend my money even with the bonus hotel points and all that.

Really nice hotel in prime location in Miami Beach! I stayed here for two nights this past weekend. The staff were all really friendly and accommodating. I had a king room on the second floor. My room was very clean. The downside was that the room was kind of small. The closet space was very small in that it was half the size of a normal closet, so my dresses had to drag on top of the safe when hanging. There is a nice size fridge however which was nice. The bathroom was a decent size, except the shower was pretty small. If it weren't for the closet size and the shower size, I would have given this hotel 5 stars. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the room was cute. The hotel has a nice pool on the rooftop but both times I went up there, there was no one working the bar even though their rooftop boasts a bar/lounge on the roof. There's a bar and restaurant on the first floor with nice outdoor seating. The pina colada I had at the bar one evening was nice and had good flavor but came out to being about $20 after tip and tax. smh. This hotel is a block away from the beach and near all of the hot spots of Miami Beach including Lincoln Rd/Lincoln Center Mall. After checking out of the hotel, I was able to check my luggage at the front desk before departing for my flight, and the staff gave me a key to access the rooftop for the rest of the day! That was outstanding! I really appreciate the hospitality of the staff.

Great spot and accommodations for your visit line how close to the blvd and beaches it is located

The Gale South Beach was a beautiful pleasant surprise. My friend and I decided to stay here before our flight out of MIA Airport. The pictures do not do it justice. The decor is beautiful, the staff was friendly and very accommodating. Location: I love the location to the beach and surrounding restaurants. It was a short walk to the beach, restuarants and Ocean Drive. It's also a short drive to the MIA airport. Restuarant: The hotel also has a restuarant in the front of the hotel. The rooftop pool is absolutely beautiful. It was by far, my favorite part of the hotel. The temperature of the pool is was warm and very inviting. Free towels were offered and plenty of beach chairs and a cabana are available for seating. Rooms : the room was small and clean. The room were just big enough for two people. It was tight space for two people but good enough for one night stay. The bayheroorm The wait staff at the restuarant all wore mask. The front desk is setup behind a large clear shield which is fine. I felt protected. Overall, the hotel was very nice. The staff was friendly and the rooftop pool was beautiful. I would recommend a visit.

The Gale South Beach, Curio Collection by Hilton in Miami Beach is a great place to go for a quality stay in the middle of everything. I really like the location and everything that they have available here. I have been impressed with their level of service. Excellent experience every time I have been here.

This is the best hotel in south beach period. Very nice on the outside and even better on the inside. Has that old school feel yet modern. Has a nice restaurant on the inside with a bar and coffee bar. And a roof top pool with amazing views along with a huge lounging area behind it. The rooms were spacious and clean and smelled terrific. Location is prime in south beach being across from SLS and The National hotel. The manager Kevin and the host Fernando were both very informative and nice and always had a smile on there face. Will be definitely coming back here again when coming to south beach. You won't regret it

I would stay here again if I came by myself or with my husband. (I didn't see a lot of children and if I brought mine I would probably opt for a different hotel right on the beach.). My king bed was incredibly comfortable. As a Hilton diamond member, I received complementary coffee, orange juice, eggs and a bagel in the cute downstairs restaurant. I had a friendly italian waiter and most of the food was good but bagel was clearly a frozen lenders bagel variety. Shame on me! In SOBE, I am pretty sure you aren't supposed to eat carbs. If was a bit warmer, I would have loved to eat outside because the patio was pretty awesome. The only negatives related to housekeeping. The first day my room was NEVER serviced. I put a "please service" light on the second day around 8am and around 1:30pm no one had again stopped by so I called the front desk. By 3pm, housekeeping still had not bothered to stop by. Consistent with other reviews, my room was not ready until the 4pm checkin time on my arrival date. No early checking here! I wonder what time housekeeping starts? I suspect it is on the later side (if they show up to work at all!). Late miami nights for guests probably don't equate with early room cleaning! Also I am pretty sure the website mentioned plush robes and there was no such amenity in my room. Overall, everyone seemed friendly. The hotel was a short walk to Lincoln road and the rooftop pool was warm when I dipped a toe in. I only wished that I had used my shampoo sparingly. Housekeeping eventually came on the second day at 4pm.

We got a great rate for our room through the Hilton app and really enjoyed the location of the hotel. The room was clean and the added perk of being able to use the amenities at the Shelbourne was a ++ We didn't rent a car because there was plenty to eat and do within walking distance.

Nice location. Easy to miss. Terrible service. I got to my room and the TV and phone didn't work. I called to have someone take a look. They came three times that night and couldn't resolve the issue. We were out the next day. We got back in the evening and it still didn't work and they left the box

Average AT BEST. Overall, it's a nice property, but from a service POV they are EXTREMELY lacking. The restaurant, Dolce, is an LDV property...the food and service are PHENOMENAL. The hotel has extremely limited services for guests, and they don't listen to instructions AT ALL.

The Gale Review We had 14 rooms on our group rate as we were celebrating two 50th birthdays. #50InMiami The whole place has a very cool vibe. Lots of space to congregate. The rear entrance by the valet has a great bar area with indoor and out door seating that wasn't being used My friend booked at The Betsy and although we didn't see his room, the lobby/bar area was not as great as at the Gale and he paid $800 a night. Chose the Gale through a combination of price point and good reviews. The pool and terrace are outstanding. There is a large covered bed in the pool area over looking the ocean that at any other place would cost $300 a day to rent. First come first serve. The lack of a parking garage all parking is valet. We forgot something in our car and had to wait 15 min for them to get it and bring it to us, only to have them park it again. Whatever I get it, it's south beach not a ton of parking space available. 12pm check out Charming lobby and hallways, great pictures of old Miami everywhere. Dolce Restaurant was convenient and had great food, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Lots of restaurants around but we ended up eating there a lot just out of convenience. Coming into the hotel through the restaurant Collins side was a little strange but as the staff got to know us it was like coming home They turned the super bowl on for us on the Terrace which is run by the restaurant, not the hotel. They texted me throughout the stay to ask if I needed anything. That was a nice touch. Centrally located The balcony rooms are incredible Liquor store right next door Shelborne beach access Rooms are quiet and comfortable. Lots of marble tile. Very slippery. The shower in our room...I want that exact shower in my house! Cant give this place enough stars, it was everything we needed it to be for our large group and more.

Fernando at the front desk was just awful at all things hospitality. He was rude and condescending to us and made it very clear we were not a priority for hotel check in. Embarrassing point person, I won't stay here again.

A great friend reserved a group of rooms for a bunch of us in mid February 2023 for a fiftieth birthday celebration. Our overall experience with the hotel, the restaurant, the staff, and the amenities (pool, terrace, gathering room) was absolutely fantastic. The staff were very welcoming, helpful, and all had a friendly and positive demeanor. They allowed us to gather on the terrace until late at night, which we weren't expecting but ended up fostering an amazing social time for 30+ of us. Our room was clean and very comfortable. We also appreciated the central location of the hotel to everything we wanted to do with the rest of the birthday party crew, including the Gale's relationship with the Shelborne hotel on the beach for quick beach access. We stayed for five nights and wish we could have stayed longer! 100% would stay here again! #50InMiami

I hate coming to south beach during spring break Because of how crowded it can be especially for check ins but the staff was fast with everything as well as nice . The room wasn't ready but we were occupied With the beautiful photos and cool items in the hotel that time flew . Would definitely stay here again

We stayed there three nights and we absolutely loved it. The rooms were small, but we really didn't need any bigger space. We loved the decorating and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Being able to go across to the sister hotel for the beach was perfect.

Located one block from the beach. Hospitality/customer service completely absent from the staff throughout the hotel. I'm surprised it's a Hilton - they normally have customer service standards.

The absolute worst hotel I've ever stayed at. It's cheaper than other hotels in Miami Beach for a reason. The staff are strange and unhelpful, not professional at all. The rooms are tiny and dark. I left my Burberry jacket in the closet, and called them to ask them to send it to me and they said it was missing. I spoke to the manager Kevin Waldstein on the phone (who was slurring his words and sounded drunk) and he said if I come back to the hotel he would offer me a discount or an upgrade. Ew I will never stay here again. When I asked where my jacket is he said he doesn't know. He didn't do a deep dive into it or ask the maids on duty where it was. It's hard to find honest people these days, I can understand why someone would want to keep that expensive jacket. It is upsetting because a loved one gave it to me and has sentimental value. Was it my fault for leaving it there? I would like to think I can trust where I am sleeping and paying a business that is reliable. The Gale hotel in Miami Beach has left such a bad taste in my mouth. It felt incredibly sketchy. I've never left a one star review ever, or even a 2 star for that matter. This is the first time and hopefully the last. If you do stay there make sure you lock your valuables in the safe.

NOT up to Hilton standards. Typical "boutique hotel" which is defined as having rooms as small as postage stamps. NO deck or balcony off the rooms. Not even on the beach, across the street! WEIRD entrance through an Italian restaurant in front or a maze in the rear. Unacceptable fitness center with ONE 25 year old treadmill and some kind of multi machine! To be fair the infinity pool was pretty nice. Diamond member but won't stay here again.

The Gale Hotel What a beautiful, vintage boutique hotel. The rooms are beautiful, sparkly clean, very safe and very conveniently close to everything. One block from the beach and steps within great food and shopping choices. We rented bikes for free through the front desk, had delicious meals at Dolce, their onsite restaurant! We relaxed at their stunning rooftop pool, ordered food and drinks there too! S J was incredibly kind and made sure we had all we needed- extra amenities and such. Frank was SO accommodating- he got us a taxi to the airport for a fraction of what Uber and Lyft was going to charge! Every staff member says hello and treats you like a friend! That is amazing! We would definitely recommend this property!

When we arrived at the hotel we were pleasantly surprised by the friendly staff and beautiful décor. The memorabilia of old South Beach dotted the walls, creating a visual narrative of the space. I didnt care for the $36 per night resort fee, but at least there were some amenities. There is a shuttle service on request (3mi radius) and a shared beach club with the Shelborne with complimentary chairs and towels. Umbrellas? $20. Beach beds? $100. Maybe adding complimentary breakfast would be nice. The 1st Room we were in seemed to be missing some of the furniture but it was a wheelchair accessible room. We were switched out the next day to a regular Room and it was beautiful. The Nespresso machine with pods in the room when we ran out of sugar and cream we were given plenty to supplement it. The bathrooms large but the showers are small. It seems most of the rooms are equipped with a safe and multiple light sources. Notice: the bathroom mirror has glass panels in the sides allowing the person in the room bright light and a peep into the shower and sink area. This was a little strange. Despite the little quirks, it was a really nice stay. I will be back.

We stayed at this location for a staycation in Miami Beach, the service here is spectacular from the front desk employees to the concierge. to the Porter to the housekeeping This is a Fantastic Hotel a Must stay for anyone visiting Miami Beach. The hotel has a gorgeous design throughout the hallways they have gorgeous old photos of Miami Beach it's really is stunning. They have a huge pool area on the top of the Hotel which gives you a beautiful view of Collins Avenue at night and during the day. The Gale Hotel also has a huge outdoor decking area with an outdoor Bar which plays music all day and night, the Hotel also features a huge outdoor area for sitting down and watching the sunset. The room contained a massive bathroom it was fully stocked with heaps of towels, toilet paper, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, cotton tips, tissues, cream, his and hers robes The room was an average size room as it does come with free bottles of water in the room and , cable T.V which offers you every single channel. The Breakfast area connected to the Hotel is an amazing place to have breakfast, they offer reasonable prices for Miami Beach and offer friendly staff service with an outdoor and inside eating areas. Highly recommend the food was delicious. I want to Thank the Hotel, you ticket off every single box a guest could ever ask for...

The Gale is an upscale hotel with very friendly staff. Greg, the concierge, texted me before check-in, during my stay, and after check-out to make sure I was happy with my experience. For the price of the room, however, I was disappointed that the bathroom lights around the mirror did not work. One was totally out and the other was flickering nonstop. I was trying to get ready for a wedding, basically in the dark. Greg said they would send up an electrician to fix it while we were out, but... when I returned it was still not working. There is a large selection of mini-bar drinks and snacks in the room, as well as some adult-themed options BUT - there was NO COFFEEEEE!!!!! I have never been to a hotel that had no coffee maker! Even an instant coffee would have sufficed. My mom is a tea drinker and brings tea bags with her all the time, but there wasn't even a machine to have hot water. Room service wanted to charge her $12 for a cup of hot water. Not cool.

Absolute horrible experience at this location. It is a very nice quaint location however if you end up arriving before 4pm you will not be able to check in. The self appointed manager, Fernando is the most unprofessional member of management I have ever had to experience. As a diamond member with Hilton honor you expect to be acknowledged as a frequent guest. Not at the Gale. Regardless of your status with Hilton honors as far as Fernando is concerned Hilton honors means nothing. Beware of this hotel.

I've stayed here a couple of times. They offer FL resident rates, and the staff is wonderful. The property is clean, beautiful, and offers fantastic amenities. I especially love the beach access, pool, and cocktails from the bar. The Nespresso machine, robes, and slippers are a nice touch in the room.

This place is a hilarious nightmare. I'm actually shocked at the price I paid for this dive. $2500 for 5 nights in their "king grande suite w/ terrace." The layout of the preposterously small room leaves you riddled with anxiety throughout your stay. Nothing makes sense and there is literally no storage for anything. Be prepared to live out of your suitcase - which will remain in the middle of the room as an obstacle (as noted: zero storage). The lighting in the bathroom literally fell off due to moisture from the shower (the light was held on by a Sticker (lol), the nightstand has two drawers that can't function properly (see pics) and the neighbors wall and my wall May as well not exist - as I can hear every sounds (heard a guy sneeze this morning). First time in Miami. Probably the last thanks to this hell hole.

I have struggled with this review because there are some aspects of the property that are great, and others that are just outright disappointing. The property itself is a nicely renovated boutique hotel with a rooftop pool right in the heart of South Beach. The photos are tastefully displayed on all floors and in the lobby as well. It gives you a sense of history of the facility as well of South Beach over many decades with an emphasis on post war Miami. I booked the room through Expedia and was happy with the price in relation to other properties that were just outrageous (Fountainbleau and W come to mind). Many of the Art Deco properties are either in the midst of being upgraded or have been upgraded from what I could tell. The immediate area is busy 24/7 with a sprinkle of homelessness as an obvious concern. I was contacted by the property via text by the concierge Edgar who I unfortunately never met (I wanted to thank him for his courtesy). When I checked in which was after midnight Edgar ensured my Monday night, Tuesday morning check-in. Unfortunately, the person who did check me in just didn't live up to my customer service expectations. First, my card key did not work and had to go back to the lobby which was irritating to say the least after about 7 hours of plane travel. Then my Internet did not work and her instructions were incorrect as well. She finally sent someone to my room to correct the situation. By now I got to unpacking and the room was clean, but small and lacked a full-sized closet. In all my travels over the last twenty-five years I have never stayed in a room that lacked a standard closet. The closet was so small that I had to leave most of garments in my roller. Second, there was no desk or table to place my laptop. That was equally nerving since I had to use my bed as a desk which to me was strange as well. The I asked for an ironing board which was not full-size and again there was nowhere to actually iron. Again, the dimensions of the room could more then accommodate a real closet that included a full-size ironing board. There was no tub and that was fine, but the room offered less then the bare amenities one would expect from a boutique property such as this. There are no ice machines on the floor and when I called the front desk to find ice or get ice, the phone rang endlessly with no one picking up or traveling to a voice mail. The overall layout of the property is strange in that you need to walk through a first floor restaurant which seemed interesting and to their credit they offered a twenty percent to guest to dine at the property. The rooftop pool was small, but nice enough with chairs, towels and ice water readily available. The pool area accommodates about twenty people and they had a random waitress who took orders, but you needed to kind of find her. Shockingly the drink poured into plastic cups were $15! This was during the day. Again, the cost once again exceeded the value. On one of the few times I did approach the reservations desk the attendant was woefully overwhelmed and was frustrated by the volume of calls and inquiries to the point she was stand offish and a bit unprofessional. What I will say is this is that South Bay is for the hip, attractive and young. I was attending a conference so I was required to stay in the immediate area off property for the event. There were many young people from all over the world who seemed to enjoy themselves and I interacted with guests from Italy, Switzerland and a honeymoon couple from Ireland. My mood was rapidly changed in the way my card key and Internet issues were handled and I don't think I recovered from the lack of interest in my issues by the desk. The overall day staff seemed nice enough and I wish I had eaten at the restaurant where the help seemed professional and eager to please ( I did dine at Mr. Chow's which I'll review at a later date). I will say this property is for single individuals under 35. That is the target and the secondary target is probably the international vacationer. I am pushing 60 so I didn't fit the demographic. Maybe that was part of the lack of appeal once inside the place. I would not book again, but I would recommend to those in the target audience mentioned above. South Beach is hip, fun and cool; and I guess Gale South caters to that type of customer. I got the feeling with the exception of Edgar who I never met, they saw my stay as an irritant and not really welcome. I'll return to South Beach, not at this property and will do a better job researching my options. The overall way of which I was treated kind of put a damper on this stay. I would not recommend, there seems to be a plethora of other options.

The staff was super friendly Ignacio and Alexandra greeted us warmly. They were very accommodating. Fernando was the best. He made sure that there was a bottle of Prosecco on ice in the room for my husband's birthday. I loved the rooftop pool. The renovation was great with awesome pictures of the old days. We slept very well. Super comfy bed, great location close to everything. If you go out the back turn left then right at the alley and left there's a great authentic Cuban restaurant. Bella Cuba, Friendly service and addictive food. Definitely plan to make it a annual trip. You have access to the beach with free chairs and towels. The hotel has a restaurant as well but we wanted to experience everything in the area. We did have breakfast there. When you do go. Just remember it is on the corner. What you are going to see is the restaurant. That's the entrance to the hotel. It's a 30.00 Uber ride so you don't have to rent a car since there's so much to do there. I even went to Hennah International salon and Barbara did a great job on my nails.

Very elegant boutique hotel in the heart of South Beach, Miami. Only a 1 block walk from the ocean this hotel is a jewel. Although it's on the smaller side the rooms are super comfy and chic. Totally upgraded with flat screen TV, sound dock, beautiful showers, great mini bar options and amenities. The linen is top thread count and the ceiling to floor mirror is to die for. There is a gorgeous rooftop pool area with an adjoining restaurant/dining area below. There are towels available as well as lounge chairs, chaises & a large beach bed with canopy to catch a break from the sun rays. The staff is pleasant. I had major insomnia from the noise (there's a bar on the first floor that ROCKS after hours so if you plan on sleeping, it won't be here) I didn't get a wink of sleep! I called the front desk and the only suggestion would be to come down and get earplugs. WTF, I'll raise you one and never stay here again. These rooms are not cheap; peace & quite should come with the cost of admission. ~Christy

I love this hotel. I'm a bit of a hotel snob and tend to give more negative feedback than positive if there is a reason. The Gale made me want to write a review. Staff was friendly and willing to work on my special requests. Decor is retro and reflects back on a simpler time. Roof top pool is beautiful, especially at night when the colors change. The adjacent restaurant Dulce is great for breakfast. The beach access is a block away but you do get chairs and towels upon arrival. Pro tip is to arrive early (9am'ish) if you want a front row. The beach service charges just over $20 for an umbrella but it's actually worth it. Much more relaxing and comfortable with some shade. The only downsides I would say is that valet parking is confusing and they don't have a bar open due to Covid. The bar area looks amazing and smells great for what that's worth. I didn't love downtown Miami outside of the beach and hotel. It's Friday night as I write this and I'll probably go hang out in our room and the pool instead. If you visit the Gale, tell them Jason from Texas sent you! Aleksandra at the front desk is a rockstar and Rick from security has great stories!

If your into Abercrombie & Fitch and J Crew style decor the Gale South Beach is the spot for YOU. All they're missing is to spray the cologne. Nice staff at the front desk. Bathroom is very nice and the rooms are small. Wish I had a better view as mentioned by the front desk clerk. I would say that the picture frames could be found in IKEA. My thing with "posh" hotels is that they think it's high end but give you "cheap decor." You're making people pay for "exclusivity" and a picture frame from Ikea is not exclusive.

As a Hilton Honors Gold Member, I was less than impressed with this property. They offer "valet" in the rear of the hotel where you're instructed to leave the car on the side of the road and bring the keys inside. The only problem is, the rear entrance was closed for a "private event" and the only entrance is all the way around the building and through the main entrance. The main entrance to this hotel is through their restaurant Dolce which is the most awkward ordeal dragging all your luggage through the middle of a restaurant and up two small flights of stairs to the front desk. The gentleman at the front desk was unwelcoming and quite rude. He was unable to locate our reservation, although I provided him a confirmation number and booked directly with Hilton via telephone. The guest room itself was underwhelming to say the least. The windows looked across an alley and directly into other hotel rooms. The walls were paper thin and we could hear everything in the hallway. Our room backed up to a maid closet that was utilized at all hours of the day where the door was constantly slammed shut. The bathroom toilet water would either constantly run or not flush at all. Good luck if you want to visit the beach, you have to hike down the street and across traffic. All around this property is not worth the stay and we will definitely not be back. The only thing this place has going for them is their location.

Amazing resort, the interior of the lobby is very aesthetic and the manager Kevin was very hospitable. All the staff were very friendly, from front desk to the cleaning staff. The pool is a must go and also try the pool at the Shellbourne - it's their sister hotel down the block and you have access with your resort fee.

Stood here for 1 night before I sail on a cruise. The front desk personal all were not warm , 2 ladies had a bit of an attitude and it was quite hectic trying to check in. They had a major miss up with many other guest who were super frustrated. Later on when I finally got my room after them telling me to wait they called me and the front desk lady ask me what room I was in. I asked is everything ok .. she just said yeah and hanged up. Will not stay here again. Not once I heard sorry for the inconvenience.

What a great find! This hotel is part of the Hilton chain, so I was able to use my points and made a staycation out of this place. Located right off of 17th and Collins, you have Lincoln Road right next door with other SOBE options. You can't beat it. I drove, so Valet is $43.00 for the stay. The staff was very friendly and provided us all the services we need. There is a pool on the rooftop that will give you an amazing view of the area along with a few bars downstairs. The pool is somewhat small but does the job. The rooms were up to date and very modern with plenty of space. Breakfast was included in our stay. It's your typical hotel breakfast, but they have tables outside so it's a perfect spot to sip on some joe and take in the sun. I can't wait to come back and thank you, Hilton, for providing an excellent experience!

Perfect location and spot for a night away. Convenient walk to the beach and Lincoln Rd. Lots of great food and drinks! Staff made us feel welcome and safe during COVID.

This hotel is dishonest. They sold my room at a higher price to other customers who were in town for a conference. When I arrived, they said they didn't have my reservation (booked with Priceline). I have used priceline for years and never once did I encounter this problem with another hotel. Two guys at front desk said "you gave your money to priceline, they never sent us the confirmation". What bull. Must be easy to pretend you "never got the confirmation". Everything is done automatically in this day and age, and I don't buy this excuse. They showed no sign of compassion for us. Anyway, Priceline told us hotel overbooked so priceline refunded me right away. Priceline also gave me some money due to the hassle/'inconvenience. Ended up staying at the Loews at a similar rate and got a ocean view as well (which i know the Gale doesn't even HAVE). Haha guess it worked out for us actually. Also they marketed this hotel as 4.5 star hotel, but it is very small and doesn't even have a driveway. What kind of "luxury" hotel doesn't have an area to pull up in? Also you have to walk through a loud crowded restaurant to even get to the lobby?! Geezus

The rooms are amazingly clean. We had to wait for our room at arrival, however, the manager upgraded us to a corner suite - which made our stay even better. Located in the heart of Miami Beach, the Gale offers some of the best views of the city. The roof top pool facing the ocean is a site to see. As part of your stay at the Gale - you get access to a private beach club. Highly recommend this boutique hotel. Parking is available next to the hotel for $30 a night.

The service and the hotel location was perfect. The only criticism have is that I paid the same price for two rooms with a terrace. Both had an exceptional terrace but the room size was substantially different when you consider that I paid the same price fir both. One had a bed with about a yard of space around it without any room for a desk or even a chair. The other room which I paid the same price for had a desk and chair as well as two chairs to sit in. I did bring in a chair from the outside and tried reading out in the heat of the day but neither was satisfactory. I guess the great disparity between the rooms is the luck of the draw but I won't waste money on the terrace again if the room is barely big enough for the king size bed. Otherwise a great facility and a nice stay.

This boutique hotel is has a perfect location right off the beach! They do have a sister property on the beach, so you do get chairs and towels on the beach if needed, it's about a 10 minute walk. The rooms are very trendy and up to date, so that's definitely a huge plus. Great restaurant in the front part of the hotel. We came with a large group, they were able to get us all together and did a great just checking us in. Would definitely recommend checking out this place. If you're going to hit up Hyde beach party, stay here and walk across the street, works out so good!

Outstanding, first class rooms at the brand new Kaskades building directly across the street from their sister property, Gale South Beach. Reminiscent of 5 star hotels I have stayed at in Europe. Beautiful Italian wood floors and a stunning white marble bathroom--complete with walk in rain shower, steam bath capabilities, and sunken tub. Separate toilet room with state of the art Toto remote controlled system. Toilet lid automatically raises when it senses you entering the room and flushes for you when you leave the room. Very comfortable bed with mini sofa and chair next to it. Variable lighting system that you can switch at the flip of a dial--from mood lighting to bed reading light. Nice wet bar with temperature controlled see through refrigerator. Electric blinds. Number of reasons for paying additional money to stay here v. a standard room at the Gale, across the street--(1) much more and larger closet space; (2) much larger bathroom area with additional steam room feature; (3) private rooftop sundeck with small dipping pool (appears more adult oriented than the pool area at Gale Hotel); (4) no club attached to this building; therefore, no need to worry about loud music on weekends; (5) outdoor Japanese soaking tub on deck of first floor units; and (6) overall, rooms are double in size vs. a standard room at the Gale. If more space is what you seek, this place is for you. Whomever designed the rooms at Kaskades has impeccable, exquisite taste. Well done.

The Gale South Beach (The Kascades) is perfectly located at 17th and James in South Beach. We have lodged here on three different occasions. The hospitality from the staff is always wonderful. The hotel offers complimentary chairs and towels for beach lounging and they are very comfortable! The Regent Cocktail club and Dolce Italian are located on the hotel property. The regent makes the best cocktails and Dolce always delivers great Italian cuisine. We visited this month for my birthday celebration. The hotel management and concierge staff were very accommodating and assisted with making my birthday celebration weekend a success! I entered my hotel room to a beautiful flower bouquet and champagne! When we did encounter small issues with lightning in the room hotel management went above and beyond to resolve our issue. Clearly I have no complaints about The Gale (Kascades). If traveling to South Beach I strongly recommend that you lodge at The Gale.

We loved everything about our stay. The room was great and the service was outstanding. We were worried about noise based on prior reviews but we didn't hear our neighbors at all after we went to bed. Not sure if that was our white noise app or if they went out - but either way it wasn't an issue for us. We stayed on the 3rd floor. The beds are soft. If that's not your thing - think twice.

I'll agree with the many nice things about this hotel. For me is location, cleanliness and Dolce. I've stayed here before and had a nice experience. BUT THIS TIME I had a room on the 1st - thank goodness it was Sunday so I didn't have the club, but there is a housekeeping closet right by my room and all afternoon, midnight and early morning that door is SLAMMING over and over. Closet so small can't hang a dress, lights not working in bathroom- have a workday Monday to get ready for- and no ice bucket. After twice requesting ice bucket I just ended up going to the ice machine with my little glasses. Seriously disappointed.

Highly recommend the Gale hotel in South Beach. The hotel is beautiful. Location is right next to the beach. There is a restaurant in the hotel. Staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. I especially enjoyed my interactions with Frankie and Sharonjoy. They were incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to make this an incredible stay.

This is an absolutely charming old-school style property with modern amenities. I stayed 3 nights for business meetings and was absolutely stunned by the attentiveness of the staff. They were great. My group participated in a Mixology class and the bartenders not only knew their stuff but made this team-building event memorable. The live music was great and the rooftop bar and pool were fabulous. The only tip I can offer is: Ask upon check-in if your room has a desk - if you need to work during your stay. Otherwise, enjoy your time at this wonderful property with a top-notch staff that is ready to meet your needs.
