We had an amazing stay at Galei Kinneret! The food was very good and had a lot of variety — we especially enjoyed the breakfasts and the thoughtful touches throughout. The service was excellent, with staff who were consistently kind, professional, and attentive. The hotel is spotless and beautifully maintained. The view of the Kinneret is breathtaking, and the pool and surrounding grounds are stunning. We also loved the small private beach — quiet, relaxing, and a great place to start or end the day. I did a lot of research before choosing where to stay, and I’m so glad we picked Galei Kinneret. The experience lived up to the great reviews I’d read and even surpassed them in some ways. We’ll definitely be coming back and will be recommending this hotel to our friends and family.

What truly makes this hotel a five-star experience is the amazing staff! Always smiling, kind, and ready to help with the best attitude - they make sure everything is spotless and that every guest feels happy and cared for. I would like to personally thank each and every one of them 🤍 As a couple who travels all around the world, I can honestly say this is one of the best hotel staff we’ve ever met! The food was also excellent - both Friday evening and Saturday morning. Considering it’s a kosher hotel and the food is pre-prepared, it didn’t feel like that at all - everything tasted fresh and delicious. The pool, the room, and of course the view were all fantastic! We 100% recommend this place and will definitely be coming back on our next visit to Israel.

We stayed at Galei Kinneret Hotel on May 31st, 2025 using a special discount for army reservists. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing.| • Check-in delay: Although check-in was supposed to be at 18:00, we had asked to get the room earlier since the pool closes at 17:00. Even at 18:00 our room wasn’t ready. We were offered a different “upgraded” room, but it was not what we wanted and we only accepted it so we could lock a personal weapon in the safe.| • Pool bar service: The pool bar was empty, yet the bartenders ignored us, stayed on their phones and chatted with others. It took half an hour to get a cocktail – which was both overpriced and not tasty at all.| • No water in the entire hotel: The next morning there was no running water in the whole hotel for the entire day. No shower, no toilets, no basic hygiene. We eventually had to leave the hotel without taking a shower or even using the bathroom.| • Compensation: After complaining, we were offered a day-pass voucher for another hotel in the chain. However, the voucher is not valid on weekends, July–August or holidays – which makes it practically useless for us. Even after follow-ups, management refused to provide any real compensation.||Overall, this was an exhausting and frustrating experience. As army reservists, we were hoping to rest and recharge, but instead we left upset and disappointed. Sadly, we cannot recommend staying at Galei Kinneret or at any hotel of the Israel Canada chain, due to the poor service, lack of care, and inadequate compensation.

The hotel exceeded my expectations. The hotel is very clean and the service was great. The breakfast was one of the best I’ve had at a hotel in Israel. The vibes at the pool and outdoor area are great. Highly recommend for couples!|If you’re looking for restaurants in the area- check out 1910 and On the river.

It is a nicely renovated hotel but there are way too many issues to enjoy a nice vacation. ||Consider skipping this one at least until the end of the year or the war, so that hopefully they get back some more professional managers and employees to better run the property (since one has to assume it is so badly run because the main management/employees are deployed in the war at the moment).||There are too many issues to list, but just to give you an idea of a couple:|-Your GPS will take you to a hotel gate that doesn't have any sign that you are at the right place/hotel name.|-People at check-in and everywhere at the hotel will likely Not speak English so be prepared to try to speak in Hebrew.|-You might book a room and be given a different type that is not suitable with enough beds.|-Weird situation where you have to go through the hotel lobby when going from the pool to the spa since the spa area (e.g. indoor hot tub) is all locked from the pool area.|-Similarly weird, need to walk through the dining room area (e.g. in between people trying to enjoy their meal) to take elevator to your room.|-No shade at all in the pool until later in the day (consider some trees or tarp at least on 1 end of the pool??).|-Only 1 complimentary activity a day at 8:30am (we went to morning yoga but the instructor never showed up/was apparently running late).|-No communication from staff to address concerns during or after stay.||From the reviews online, it appears that customer service is a common issue with many of the nicer hotels in the area (e.g. Galei Kinneret, The Setai across the lake..). ||Consider staying in a different area/hotel altogether with better customer service until these issues are resolved, and just do a day trip there instead. The Ritz in Herzliya is a clear winner in that department at the moment and a perfect alternative.

Beautiful hotel with amazing pool and spa. We really enjoyed our stay, however, be warned that the hotel staff may charge you for items you did not order. Upon checkout, I was presented with a bill that included multiple items I did not order. After explaining this to the hotel staff, they updated the bill accordingly. However, the day after I left the hotel they went ahead and charged me a second time for the erroneous items on my bill that I never ordered. I would highly highly recommend paying for all items you order in the moment with your credit card, otherwise there is a good chance you will be overcharged as well (especially if you are a foreigner than does not speak Hebrew). Unfortunate ending to a great stay

I payed a crazy amount of money to come here with my sister for a fun weekend. I’ve been met with such horrendous terms. Be aware that why is written on the website is not true, there is no room service or food aloud in the rooms, and to have a nice delicious dinner you have to order inclusive dinner when you make your reservation to the room otherwise they manipulate you to pay 280 per person per night for dinner. And if you don’t want to they tell you to order something else but there is nothing else in the area. Very disrespectful. It’s written in the website that you can make a reservation on a free basis on the website and I am very disappointed with the service here. Don’t get fooled by the picture and the name!

Amazing service, super clean and helpful staff. The pool was great, clean and lovely. Food was delicious, and the private little beach in the kinneret was a lovely spot to sit with a chair in the water. Cannot recommend enough! 10 times better than the location thats across the water
