Galeria River

Nice stay, very kind crew. A real pleasure. We will come back. |Ljubjana and the surrounding area is a wonderful aim for holidays or week-end and staying in Galeria River is in the old town near all interesting spots. The travel in the town are very easy and we enjoyed too the restaurant with fine cook.

A good place to stay in Ljubljana. Id say location is almost perfect - you're at the nicer end of the central river section/old town, not far away from lots of shops and cafes and restaurants, yet also not too close so it isnt really busy and loud outside. ||The receptionist on arrival was excellent and helpful. ||We booked a river view room. I was a little underwhelmed. The room was big and nice, and bushy trees can't be helped, but we couldn't see the river at all, or even many building etc for that matter. Mostly just trees and the path out front as we were on the first floor. Not great after paying extra for a "river view" room and seeing all these nice photos online. I asked if they had a "river view" room on a higher floor for better views but nothing was available. ||We were there for our anniversary and I mentioned this in advance. I received a response in advance too, and the receptionist also said "we'll do something very nice for you". However, we didn't receive anything. This was probably an innocent mistake and forgotten, and we don't expect to receive anything BUT after being told they'd do something for us, again we were left underwhelmed when this wasn't the case. ||There's no air con, which means at night we had the fan on and windows wide open, which isnt then great for noise of passers by and the nearby main road.||On day 1 my wife had a shower and after 2 minutes the water went cold. We waited about 40 minutes (including memtioning this to reception who told us to wait half an hour) and still no hot water, so i had to have a cold shower. It seemed ok the other days but again, not ideal on day 1 to have no hot water. ||Whilst here, we also asked for breakfast tea bags, but they didn't have any. Not a big issue at all, but a suggestion to maybe have these in stock for future guests and not just fruity teas.||Overall, a nice building, location, receptionist and room, but left feeling a bit underwhelmed or let down in a few areas.

I had a one-night stay to renew my passport, and had a wonderful experience at the hotel. Wonderful, helpful, friendly staff; great location; and the amenities in the room, including a fridge, microwave, kettle, and dishes, helped make my stay even more pleasant. Thanks Galeria River for your warm welcome and generosity! One caveat for folks who have trouble climbing stairs is that there is no elevator in the hotel.

Very beatiful and affordable hotel, the staff was very welcoming and nice and the room was very clean and spacious. Luxurious and big bathroom with two sinks and a walk-in shower. The room showed a great view of the river Ljubljanica. The location is perfect since the city centre is a minute-walk away from the hotel. They did a great job incorporating a modern hotel in a historical building without damaging or changing the exterior.

Fantastic location! Quiet area, but close to restaurants and popular sites. The room is spacious and comfortable. The high ceilings made the room feel even larger. The fridge was a nice size and there was a very sizable wardrobe. The only downside is that there isn’t any AC, so I would not recommend this hotel in summer while temperatures are at around 35°C– with those temps, a fan is not enough.

The hotel is on the third floor of the building. Nice and bright rooms. Location perfect. No Airconditioning so not sure what it’s like in the summer but it was good for me even though it was 28 degrees outside. I stayed there solo in a double room and would come back any time.

The room was pretty and big enough, also I liked the location:) the staff were helpful and let me check in early.Only a few things I didn’t like were;I was not able to find sockets around the bed, and the mirror in the bathroom was hung too high for short people🥲But it was a nice stay overall!

I stayed for 4 nights. Clean, nice room and bathroom, with well equipped kitchenette, very friendly and guest oriented staff. They did warn me via email about reception being on the 3rd floor, and offered assistance with my luggage. I arrived after 9pm and a receptionist was waiting for me as previously arranged. Very good communication beforehand. Overall a very good experience, I will be coming back.
