Very nice place run by wonderful staff. Great food in the restaurant. Breakfast was fabulous. But, what we found outstanding is the deco! Whoever designed the interior is a bit of a genius. We were so impressed by the ambience created by a clever space management, pictures on the walls and little bits and bobs. And it was only 105 Euro!!! Wonderful!

Located on a waterpark in the middle of Paderborn, within easy walking distance of all the many highlights this scenic and historic city offers, Galerie is a charming centuries-old house that has been completely modernized and offers all the amenities one could expect, except a swimming pool and elevator. This quaint hotel is an absolute must if spending a night or more in Paderborn.

Nice cozy room in a old historical building, 1 minutes away from the cathedral. Not fancy but everything runs smoothly, so I had a pleasant stay. There were some loud sounds around 5/6am in the morning that woke me up multiple times.

This is a lovely hotel on the bank of the Pader River at the parkland center of town. My room wasn’t large but was sunny, airy, and efficiently laid out. Nights were quiet and restful. The whole facility is clean and well maintained. The bar is adjacent to the stairs that lead to the rooms and the concierge will offer you a glass of wine on your way to bed. Breakfast in the dining room or outside on the patio entitles you to a range of excellent serve-yourself options.

I’ve no doubt that people that come to eat here have a good experience as the cakes looked good. But we were staying overnight and paid a ridiculous amount for very disappointing rooms - no tea/coffee making facilities in the room, no English TV channels, no privacy from the outside ie no blinds or net so had to have curtains closed. The carpets in the hotel were shabby the walls dirty and that was just going up the stairs from reception. We asked twice if breakfast was included in our booking and were told yes only to check out and be charged. To sum up- ridiculously expensive for a shabby hotel but parking was free!!

I enjoyed my stay here and would gladly return. The hallway to and from the rooms in this quaint old building winds past or through various art galleries and dining areas, around many corners and up or down stairs; every errand is a new experience, much more fun than a plain square floorplan leading to an elevator. My room itself was very comfortable and spacious, with fresh air available though the large window looking out on an idyllic courtyard. The TV remote didn't work right, but I didn't bother to ask to get it fixed. Breakfast was excellent; if I'm ever here again, I will try the in-house restaurant, which looked inviting. The hotel's parking lot was a bit cramped, with a rather narrow entrance frequently obstructed by pedestrians, so I parked my large SUV in a multistorey parking garage about a 10-minute walk away. Service was good, although there was little space to queue up at the reception desk.

We stayed here for 2 nights on our self drive tour of Germany. Location of hotel was perfect, glad I had satnav to find it for us. Hotel very arty with the owners art work displayed for sale, large room (room 25), was spotless clean, comfy bed, large bedroom (mind the step up into bathroom), TV & free wifi. Breakfast was perfect. Staff we very attentive, helpful. We dined out at the El Rancho restaurant, had their grande fillet steak - was excellent. Paderborn is a small Germany city, with walks and plenty of sights and shops to see/visit. When we there a food fair was setup in tents in a centre park area outside our hotel with local restaurants catering to the public - great atmosphere. Will be back to the Galerie next year.

Absolutely delightful hotel and restaurant. Amazingly busy all the time. Very quaint and totally recommended. Rooms were nice, food was good, breakfast excellent. A great stay and if I ever return to Paderborn this would be my choice of hotel.
