The owner is lovely and so is her gallery! She has a great collection of contemporary art and was a joy to meet. She was timely with her texts and when I became busy, she followed up months later with me. Thank goodness the pieces didn't sell, and I was able to buy them.

The gallery's collection is like a finely curated museum. Drop it in any world city, think Chelsea NYC, and it would rank at top. The staff is friendly and generous with advice sans sale pressure. Anything you buy here will appreciate; it's all choice. There are no other galleries that I know of in Aspen that can compete with Galerie Maximillian.

My husband and I had a very enjoyable experience at Galerie Maximillian. Liz was a knowledgeable curator who provided us with histories of each of the artists and told us about similar exhibitions going on in our city. Thank you, Liz!

This is my favorite gallery in Aspen. I always visit the space when I am in town. I love to see the new Damien Hirst's and Mel Bochner's they have. This trip they had a great opening featuring a rare print from Roy Liechtenstein titled Crying Girl, which happens to be one of my favorites from the artist. Annie and Michelle are both helpful, knowledgeable and passionate and make visiting and buying from the gallery a joy.
