I ate here on a Saturday night in August, and at first I was hesitant to do so, because I rarely, if ever, go out to dinner on Friday or Saturdays, whether it is "season" or "out of season". In South Florida, specifically Boca Raton, restaurants are crowded and noisy on weekends. And I don't have to go out on the weekend, as I am retired and can go out whenever I wish. But to please friends, we went out. Was pleasantly surprised that the restaurant only had a few tables occupied. It was lit with this blue/purplish light, which you'll see in the photos I took. I guess it's to give atmosphere. Personally, I could have done without it. Our waiter was pleasant and accommodating, and our crowd had a lot of questions.
All the entrees included a Greek/Family Salad, or soup of the day. All of us had the Village Salad, and it was delicious and a large serving. Would definitely order this again.
Entrees ordered included ($30) the salmon, a huge portion, served with a large side of steamed vegetables. The garlic jumbo shrimp (5) were indeed garlicky, and quite large, at $40 Two of us had the whole bronzini, ($40) one fillet and one whole. I ordered the filed version, and would order it again, but whole. Much prefer to take the fish off myself.
Extensive wine list, a sauvignon blanc was $14 and Pinot grigo $9. We enjoyed our meals in this laid back restaurant. I would not take a date there if I were trying to impress them, but I would return with my husband mid week and enjoy their well prepared food. Check them out.
