I stayed here for 5 nights and it was my best hostel experience so far. If I ever start a hostel of my own, Gallery hostel is exactly how I would want my hostel to be like. Some things I loved: - very neat and tidy. - good heating. - clean bathrooms. (They had 2 bathrooms and 2 toilets for a 6 bed dorm. Which is very generous in the hostel world. The bathrooms were separated from the sleeping area, which was amazing!) - well secured lockers. - good quality linens. - friendly staff. - safe. - very good and nutritious breakfast. - good in house restaurant and bar.

I needed a place to stay for one night and this place had good reviews. It honestly looks like a posh hotel! The front desk staff was so nice. Walked me up to the room. it has six bunkbeds, but only one person occupied the room, so a total of two of us. It is very clean and modern looking not your typical shared accommodation. I even had dinner with someone. I met in the lobby at the restaurant downstairs and it was very good food . I wish they had more properties like this throughout Europe. And bus stop to the airport is directly in front of the place

Beautiful hostel, felt super luxurious and more like a hotel! The location is in the beautiful art district with very easy access to all areas of Porto. Surrounded by art galleries, independent stores, and small coffee shops and restaurants. Rooms are cleaned daily and the place always felt safe. There’s a fantastic restaurant and bar downstairs, would highly recommend! Only complaint would be the entertainment room/chill room upstairs wasn’t very comfortable, the seating could be refreshed and comfier. But overall very happy considering the low price!

This hostel is one of the best that I've been in. The beds smell clean and fresh, they are cleaned daily and your bed is made for you while being respectful of your belongings. The bathrooms are cleaned daily. The staff is great and friendly. The breakfast is varied and if you have time the restaurant below is delicious. The menu is small but all items are scrumptious. As for the location it is a 10-15 min walk away from the city center but on your way there there are many stores for shopping.

First time staying at a hostel so I picked the best I could find in Porto (with the help of reviews) and this place did not disappoint. The whole place is clean and well looked after. I stayed in the 6 bed female dorm, towels provided and shower gels in the shower rooms. If I ever find myself in Porto I’ll definitely be returning. Could not find a single fault at all 🙂 Thank you!

I can't say enough about the staff at the Gallery. Sofia was waiting to meet us at the parkade like she said she would, I had my doubts, but was proven wrong. When in the reception area, she diligently explained our hotel options, spent at least 5 minutes explaining the Porto tourist map to us, and happily answered all our questions. Bravo Sofia and GH group. Further to above. The value this hotel provides is excellent. Rooms are beautifully appointed. Breakfast and staff are superb. Hotel is situated in prime location. I will give it my best compliment. I would stay there again.

Keeping in mind that I can only really complain about inconsiderate roommates for the shared female rooms, the whole hostel experience has been so wonderful! I especially loved the front desk staff, Paolo, and Gabriel for making me feel so welcomed and cared for! I’ll be back again in the future as it’s such great value here - thank you!
