I was very happy to discover that Podgorica has a couple of lovely gallery’s and museums.
If you happen to be in the city and enjoy art, the Gallery of Contemporary Art is a must see.
Well curated and hung, if in a compact building. If your other half isn’t into art they won’t get too upset about loosing you to the gallery. Even if you digest your art slowly it would take 30 minutes max to go around.
The 5 Euro entrance also gets you a day pass to two other galleries which are in walking distance.
I give my compliments to the curator. As an artist and curator, it’s always wonderful to see really good work :).
The exhibition I saw was of an artist I was unfamiliar with MIRSAD BEGIĆ “OŽIVLJENI ZAPISI”, but who I will be looking up directly.
Also if you are in Podgorica in August apparently a Yoko Ono retrospective will be on, after her wonderful one at the Tate Modern in London I’d be very curious to see how they curate the exhibition here, unfortunately I will miss it.
