Galley Bay

This is a beautiful place, the staff were wonderful and always helpful. The room was very nice and the view from the room was beautiful. The food was delicious. You have multiple restaurants to choose from. The drinks were very well made. Got to see baby sea turtles being born and making their way into the ocean. Loved my time there. Thank you for a great vacation.

We had a wonderful time! The resort accommodated us with the food that we ate. Our friend has food allergies and they were glad to take care of him. The resort itself is beautifully kept and the beach is just gorgeous! The staff was remarkable from Nathaniel, Sadi and Richard. There was so many that I just can't remember all of there names. The only issue we had was with Captain Sean, who is a third party vendor. We paid our deposit for our excursion and our friend got sick so we couldn't make it and we gave him more than 24 hours notice that he would not give our deposit back. In order not to lose our money, we were bullied in taking another excursion. Other than that, we had a wonderful time!

Beautiful honeymoon back in 2014! Nothing was too much for the staff and we felt safe and taken care of the entire 12 night stay. Bar staff remembered our favourites and the food was excellent, with enough variation that we stayed excited! The Barefoot grill was a highlight for lunch with great fresh fish! The reps were helpful and not pushy, and booking outings was a breeze - Stingray City was incredible, we should have visited twice. We stayed in the cottages which were due for renovation but we adored our private little world as it was so it can only have gotten better. We’ll be back for an anniversary!

Had an amazing time. They always had atleast one vegetarian option for us. Only thing is that the beach is way too rough. You are not able to swim. The staff will shuttle you for free to a near by beach. The drive is 20 mins to the alternate beach.

I’ve been many places, but this is my favorite place on Earth! The wonderful people that work here are like family and I look forward to seeing them year after year. My husband and I found this lovely place almost a decade ago after watching a PBS special called Music in Motion. He promised to take me and we LOVE it here. I feel like I’m home when I’m in Antigua. These are my people and it reminds me of being home in Charleston. I can feel my ancestors here. About the resort, it’s beautiful aesthetically, of course, but it would be nothing without the beautiful people.

I consider Galley Bay perhaps the best beaches in Antigua. In Antigua, all beaches are free, in spite of the fact that you can not use the hotel’s facilities, such as beach chairs. This huge beach is likewise surrounded by rock thus makes a calm and welcoming place to swim. I love its length, and how beautiful it is – even by Antiguan standards. You can swim here or do anything you want you'd do on a regular beach, simply make certain to bring your own towels if you aren’t staying here.
