I can not believe people actually could be giving all those negative reviews…😳 The place is outstanding! In every way! Food is absolutely delicious, bravo to chef! 👏 So many yummy options to try out of the menu, the drinks, wine list, warm attentive professional service! Very cozy, sexy & stylish! Definitely a must! Best cheesecake and lobster pasta I’ve ever tried! 🫠 So happy to experience it as my first gourmet dinner in Athens! Thank you very much Gallina team for your amazing work! 🙏🧡👏

Visited to try the wagyu & prawn tartare Will revisit for the lobster pasta Great experience at Gallina Athens. The food was nicely prepared and presented. Got the chance to try a bit of both the festive and the classic menu. Very good wine selection as well. I thought the music was slightly loud considering the context, but that’s my personal taste.

The stuff as well as the sommelier were kind, helpful and informative ! On top the interior is so beautiful and distinctive , such a place to the detail. However, the food, which is the main reason we visited the restaurant was not something that you would feel pleased about. Hours later we had problem with digestion. The main dish was almost 100€ and unfortunately it was not tasty at all. There is way to go regarding food options. We’ll visit probably again just to have wine, bread and a starter. Loved the butter!

Amongst Athens best, a piece of art, truly exceptional service. It is real fine dining without the superficiality.

Gallina has a passion for good food, great wines and art. The wine list features some great wines! There is a small cellar downstairs, with collectible iconic labels of great old vintages. Another vinotheque located upstairs, carries a variety of wines, ranging from special champagnes, to limited production wines, to new winemakers productions from the new world. Nevertheless Gallina remains a restaurant/modern bistro with delicious food, offering some classic dishes that have been a staple in various French restaurants for many years. Eclectic is the keyword for the interiors. While you can spot some famously fashionable design elements, the interiors remain unique. The great ambience is enhanced with artworks from well known contemporary Greek artists.

I am rather conflicted about this restaurant. We visited on August 3rd 2024, a party of two. We ordered: 1) Bread which came hot with salted buttef, cream cheese and a small salad 2) Raw shrimps: the marinade was not evenly spread and as a result half of the shrimps tasted bland 3) Blue crab: tasty but was served with some seaweed for which I did not understand the purpose. Additionally, it was served within the shell of the crab and we found some little parts of the shell in the food 4) Scallops: Very tasty dish 5) Sea bass and golden grouper: two dishes with delicious ingredients bur both with a major issue. In both dishes, the skin was practically inedible. It was too tough and chewy 6) Basque cheesecake with caviar: there is a reason this is the signature dish of the restaurant. Best of its kind I’ve ever had Staff was professional and attentive but not once were we asked if we liked the food. I would probably visit once again to try the meat dishes but I do not think I will come back after that

The place has a really cool atmosphere. Great music playlist and lively. We liked the fact that it’s not huge and can be intimate. It’s actually good value by the Athens standards unless you go crazy with the wine selection which is extensive in selection and budget. Also not pretentious which is nice.

Definitely a must if you are in Athens! The food execution and flavors are worth the Michelin recognition.
