We enjoyed our time at Gallito. We ate next door the day before and we thought it smelled so good we had to try it. We had the California Shrimp Tacos, the steak and onion tacos, and the red lentil salad. We ordered a mojito, and two passion fruit lemonades but were only served one. ( really our only complaint ) The food was fresh, flavorful, and the portions were perfect.

Because there was Snoopy outside, I randomly picked a restaurant with my friends. To our surprise, it was beyond expectations! The food tasted great. The steak was very tender and I really liked the tuna tacos. What was even more considerate than the food was their service! When we were ordering food, she would very meticulously tell us what was in each dish. Especially since it was a bit cold and we were sitting outside, she even brought us a stove. 🥹

The starters were good after we ordered entrecote (well done) unfortunately it arrived raw. The lady brought it into the kitchen and had it fried again but our meat was burnt afterwards. I couldn't eat any of it, just my fries because I was hungry. My colleague couldn't eat curry rice either. They didn't try to satisfy us, didn't ask for an alternative and collected the full bill.

Google
Great food, nice view, dj set and nice vibes. Shiwati our waitress was our highlight. She suggested the Provolone, to our initial order of Quinoa Salad and Fried Fish with patacones, (deliciosos!). A regular in Barna that never dissapoints.

Google
Great restaurant. Very personable service and amazing food and cocktails. Location can't be better. Planning to come back summer time.

We had a really great time. We had some deserts and a sangria. The desert called Coulan de dulce de leche is simply exceptional.

Google
They have good variety of food and sweets. Nice located, easy to find and next to the beach side. To have lunch it’s good.

Google
A very pleasant restaurant under the W Hotel. Fast and very friendly service. The food was among the best we’ve tasted in Barcelona. Everything was made from top-quality ingredients, and it showed in the results. And in the end, the bill wasn’t exorbitant. We were very satisfied and highly recommend it to others!

Yelp
The service, ambiance and food was great. We stayed at the W and didn't want to eat hotel food, so we walked downstairs and right outside were 5 different restaurants to choose from.

Yelp
This was a casual yet high quality restaurant right on the beach. (Make reservations.) For a group with vegetarians, it offered a good variety of options. Their patates bravas and hummus with homemade pita are musts for shared starters. That pita bread has ruined store bought pita for me now. I appreciated that there was a vegetarian mushroom and asparagus paella option that had generous sharing portions. They had salads as well. Everything was beautifully seasoned. The service was friendly but we did have local people from Barcelona with us, and we didn't order in English. I think this restaurant gets problem behavior from tourists making unreasonable demands. So don't forget you are a visitor to this gorgeous city, and they don't owe you anything more than being a restaurant with delicious food on a Mediterranean beach. Be a respectful guest.

Yelp
Went with a friend had the porn star and amaretto sour. Great price for the drinks. Huge restaurant. Great atmosphere, good music playlist. This place has to be popping during the summer !

Yelp
Ambiance-amazing! Beautiful right on the beach. Worth the trip. Food-YUM! Tuna tacos were so delicious as was the curry soup. FRESH Drinks-great! Everything was so fresh. Downfall-same as every review we read. The staff was not the greatest. Our server was seen twice- once to take our order and then to collect the $$ If they could figure out how to bridge the two... they would be golden.

Yelp
Food was excellent! Highly recommend the Green Seabass Ceviche, the Tuna Sashimi tostadas (a must!), the Prawn Red Curry, and the patatas bravas! The atmosphere was beautiful and the service was great!

Yelp
Came here for lunch on a Monday with a group of 4. And were seated immediately, this place is super cute with green decor and it's all open looking directly out onto the beach. The service was great, our waitress didn't speak English but she was incredibly helpful. We ordered a 1.75 of Sangria which was delicious, not too sweet or dry. We ordered the fresh fish of the day and it was the most amazing, fresh fish I've ever had. It was the best thing we ate our whole trip in Europe. We highly recommend this place!!

Yelp
The ambiance was incredible - casual, but beautiful! The food - amazing ! The drinks - wonderful selection. The ONLY reason I'm giving this 3 versus 5 stars is because our server had zero personality. We tried cracking jokes and making it fun - I even speak Spanish fluently. But he was super young and very boring. He did not say goodbye or that his shift was over and I saw him leaving and then we were left sitting there - waiting to order dessert. Another server asked us if we wanted dessert and brought it and then we sat there for about 20 minutes before my husband had to request our bill. Very strange and disappointing ! With the right server we would have certainly had more drinks and would have selected this as our favorite restaurant in Barcelona.

Yelp
Really terrible service. Good food but the servers and management are terrible. We asked for our waiter to turn the heater on... two times and to no avail. We then asked for blankets and he proceeded to bring the people next to us blankets but not us. Really disappointed.

Yelp
The food was great and the atmosphere relaxing but the staff is hit or miss. Some are extremely friendly and others are just plain rude. It doesn't really matter though because the food is excellent, prices are reasonable and the location is perfect right on the beach! Highly recommend

Yelp
I think prices are inflated here because of it's location, on the beach, and next to the W and other pricey places. The food was good, but portions were small, so we ended up having to keep ordering and had a pricier lunch than expected. Even our server was kind of insinuating that we would need to order more. I guess the context is also that we arrived at our hotel before the room was ready so we didn't go out of our way for Gallito, and in fact wanted to stay in that area. Context is also that we're Americans used to larger portion sizes and ordering 3 dishes amongst two people is usually plenty. We ordered the grilled langostine, very fresh and tasty, but so small, it only came with 3 and I think the dish cost about 20 euros! So each of those little babies was 6+, not worth it. The ceviche was fresh, and the flavors were all perfect, including the corn nuts! It added a nice texture. It wasn't served with chips or anything to really eat it with though. Patatas bravas was standard. Sangria was expensive. Still hungry, we ordered a langostine and vegetable curry that came with rice to fill us up. It was pretty good, a spanish twist on a typically Asian entree. The beachy ambiance and location was great. Service was generally nice. We sat outdoors and it started sprinkling while we were eating. We sat through it and it passed. Other customers wanted to move inside so the staff helped them move their food/tables/chairs/etc. in.

Yelp
Bad service. And so rush. Bad attitude. Don't want to go one more time.food was soso. Dish too small.

Yelp
The paella al nero was perfection. Generous amounts of seafood and creamy texture. However, what completes this restaurant is the interior and location. The open kitchen and sophisticated beach house vibes were awe-worthy. Service was great. Best part was we had our meal on the patio facing the sea. What more can you ask for?

Yelp
Great for a quick bite good beer and fried seafood. The view of the Mediterranean in an added bonus for this place. Touristy so if you don't like that you will not enjoy it.

Yelp
Beautiful decor! We were drawn to the greenery. Wanted to sit at the bar but were told we could not eat food at the bar. Got a table and bottle of wine. There were two of us and we ordered a bottle of wine, Iberian ham, croquettes and bread and tomato. Ham was a bit saltier than the usual crowd but croquettes were delicious. The staff was a bit rowdy and playing around with each other

Yelp
I have only ever had drinks here so I can only judge from that so here goes: drinks here are ahhhhmazing!! On a nice summers day having some cocktails here is so enjoyable. The mojitos are my favourite, especially the strawberry mojito which is exceptionally good. The vibe and atmosphere is really cool too. Very laid back and hip but also chic and classy at the same time. If you're around the area I'd highly recommend stopping in here.

Yelp
Great place for tapas and wine! Service was good. A relaxing place to eat and enjoy. Yelp is telling me my review is on the short side. I don't know what else to write. Oh, I did eat the homemade paella. I highly recommend!

Yelp
The Sangria is excellent! So is the Fish & Chips! The Vegetables & Prawns w/ Green Curry & Rice was good but could have been seasoned better. We received excellent service from our initial waitress - a lovely young lady whose name starts with a "G" (difficult for me to spell & pronounce). Another waitress who wasn't even assigned to our table even assisted us with a great disposition. However, another waiter took over for our initial waitress and we received horrible service from him and from the manager. We didn't like the fried shrimp and asked to return it and order something else. Both the second waiter (a male) and the manager tried 3 times to force us to keep/eat it - and then they copped a nasty attitude when we declined to keep the order. The waiter came over while putting gloves on and said indignantly, "I'm going to show you how to eat it." We declined his demand and he stormed away mad as hell! When he came to take the shrimp order back, he was so upset he spilled the shrimp all over the table and then cursed as he now had to pick them all up. When he came back to clear our table he was still so pissed that he dropped the dishes, which broke with a loud crash in a relatively peaceful and quiet atmosphere. He made a fool of himself and I hope he felt every bit of shame and embarrasment that he deserved! When he came back with the check he stood over us impatiently as we collectively paid our portion of it. The waiter and manager seemed to take our dislike of the order personally rather than trying to understand and accept our disappointment with this one particular item. We were going to order something else but declined to do so after receiving such horrible service from them. The location, view and ambience are great, but not worth another trip to this establishment due to the poor service.

Yelp
If you're looking for a spot on the beach this is a great option. Simple menu, but it offers high quality... Their paella is great choice. Location is perfect, right at the foot of the W Hotel.

Yelp
This Restaurant is just overpriced! Tourist trap! We ordered a Paella (which was the suggestion of the day) and got a little portion of rice with two little king pawns for 50€!!!!!!!!!!!! That was just a joke. When I asked the waitress where the rest of the food is and why they just put rice in it, she said, it's like that. No apologies or whatsoever. Don't go there guys.

Yelp
Terrible. Stale chips, and our seafood rice only had one thing from the sea in abundance: salt. There are much better places in the area.

Yelp
Best dorada I've had -- all around lovely dining experience. Top notch service and gastronomy. Would return in a heartbeat. Even the house cava was above average.

Yelp
This is a restaurant that's part of the W hotel and the little strips of restaurants adjacent to it are all under the same restaurant company(didn't get the name). The dishes from here and Pez Vela(right next door) is very similar. I had the clams and the fish. Clams were delicious and the fish was subpar. A little too bland if you ask me. The presentation didn't look too nice either. The clams were in this tomato sauce that tasted divine. I first had it at Pez Vela the night prior, which is why I ordered it here. I am no expertise to know if the tomato sauce was from a can or freshly made but it was so yummy. Service was pretty good. I don't know if I would highly recommend this spot as Pez Vela seems a little better and a nicer ambiance, but I say go for it if you're looking for an early meal and around the area. The price is definitely pricier than the local spots since it's on a hotel property but I don't think the price and quality matches. That's just my opinion.

Yelp
Wonderful experience! The view is amazing and the people watching is spectacular. Our waiter was so friendly that we felt as if we were at home. The mussels are amazing.

Yelp
Gallito is a quaint beach-side-ish bar/restaurant attached to the W hotel. The sangria was delicious and affordable priced (20 euro for a pitcher). There is a gorgeous view of the beach, but the restaurant is non on the water or very close. Not a stop for pics, but worth a stop for drinks by the beach.
google avatar

Yelp
Lovely food, wonderful view. You can sit on the terrace and look out at the boardwalk while you feast on fresh octopus. Service was a little choppy - had an unresponsive waitress the first night and a wonderful waitress the second night - and one manager asked if I had a reservation while another seemed surprised I had one, but the food and ambiance mostly make up for the inconsistency.

John A M.

Yelp
A little expensive but overall the food was decent. I ordered the fish tacos and they were a little too salty but still good quality. The service was poor.

KJ C.

Yelp
Service was horrible. The waitress could not be bothered to work from the moment we sat down. We had to ask for drinks several times before they came to our table and she was rude. Would not go back and do not recommend. Service was horrid.

Yelp
Forget about any of the other restaurants nearby or even in the W Hotel above it: Gallito is where you need to go! We were here for a late lunch, and the hostess and Tony were gracious and showed us to a very nice table with a view of the boardwalk and the beach. We had a couple of octopus dishes, cockles, clams, and gazpacho -- and they were all terrific. Many other restaurants in the area are overrun with tourists and the vibe is more chaotic and loud; this is the perfect place for a leisurely, delicious meal and for watching the Barceloneta crowd go by...!

Shan F.

Yelp
WOMP WOMP. In the restaurant as I write this. Made reservations for 830 pm, bad idea! Still waiting for our meal at 915. Our poor waitress had no idea, when we sat down we were getting food too, so she took our menus away and only served us drinks. The hostest never put place settings down, so I can see where she got confused. Prices are cheap-portions are small, very disappointed for our last night in Spain to be ruined by this restaurant. Biggest complain is service, so slow and we wasted so much time waiting to be served, we should have been in and out, resutrant is not busy. GO to salt instead it's great.

Aidee B.

Yelp
The service is veeery slow and food is not that amazing. There are other places near by where you can eat for a better price, service and quality
google avatar

Gerard V.

Yelp
Very bad service, before you are finished your meal, the waitress is taking everything away. Drinks are not coming!! Smaller portions as a year before. Maybe because it's sunday and they need your table. What happened here?!?!

Ali T.

Yelp
Was the squid, shrimp, and artichoke paella so good that we had it for lunch and then came back to have it again for dinner? Why yes, yes it was. Ridiculously good Spanish food, outdoor al fresco breezes, W hotel vibe and soundtrack, and expansive views of barceloneta beach and skyline - umm, this place is kinda perfect.

Jim H.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, as its right on the beach, but the service was miserable and the food was mediocre. We had the paella, and I've had much better. The white chocolate brownie is more like a lemon pound cake. Plenty of better spots to eat in Barcelona like Tickets
