Tucked away in the heart of Langkawi, Gallo Nerro is a true hidden pépite for Italian food lovers. This charming spot delivered one of our most memorable dining experiences on the island — warm ambiance, impeccable service, and food that speaks the language of Italy fluently. We were a family of five, including three children, and the evening couldn’t have gone more smoothly. The kids devoured their spaghetti pomodoro — simple, classic, and full of flavor. For appetizers, we shared the seared scallops and the baby octopus with zucchini and potato — both beautifully plated and absolutely delicious. The scallops were so good, in fact, that we had to order a second round after our son claimed the first plate almost entirely! For the main course, my wife went with the fettuccine al salmone, perfectly creamy and balanced, while I enjoyed the rich and aromatic tortellini ai funghi. Still hungry (and irresistibly tempted), I treated myself to a second pasta: the egg tagliolini with mixed mushrooms, which was earthy, fresh, and deeply satisfying. Dessert was a sweet finale we couldn’t skip. The dark chocolate flan cake was a heavenly, melt-in-the-mouth experience that had everyone sneaking their spoons in — despite having ordered their own scoops of chocolate gelato. What truly elevated the evening was the warm, attentive service. A special thank you to the two lovely ladies and Daniel for making us feel so welcome. And hats off to Lorenzo, the maestro behind this culinary symphony — your passion shines through every dish. If you’re in Langkawi and love Italian cuisine, Gallo Nerro is the place to go. I had an excellent dining experience at this Italian restaurant in Langkawi. I ordered mussels as an appetizer and a Black Angus steak as my main course, both prepared to a high standard. My family ordered pasta, a cheese plate, and roasted duck. The olive oil was of fine quality, the cheese was delicate and flavorful, and the mussels were particularly enjoyable. The gelato I had for dessert was authentic and of true Italian quality. Service was attentive and professional. Daniel was especially helpful, clearly explaining the menu and ensuring we had everything we needed. Overall, the food, service, and atmosphere all met genuine Italian standards. Highly recommended.

A lovely place for dinner. Relatively pricey, but the ingredients are great quality and it has a nice atmosphere. Starters and dessert were perfect. Pasta was a little bland but still tasty. Service is exceptional. One of the best aperol spritzes we’ve had.

Amazing service & food!!! We enjoyed foods alot~ and waiter...sorry don't get his name... we assume he is the owner. If not owner, he shouldn't be running for this fast service!!! Then he said he is just very trained professional manager. I'm happy when we find this great meal & kids friendly restaurant during our holiday!! Strongly recommend who r looking for authentic Italian cuisine!!!

A Michelin-starred Italian restaurant in a quiet Langkawi. Food is 😍 beautiful to look at. Great to eat. Quality that is worth the price.

I loved the food here. The waitresses were so nice and were feeling very welcomed. The food was super delicious. They serve a handful of wines and champagne over here. But the chefs kiss was the tiramisu. 10/10. Definitely a place to have your dinner. It's quite pricey but it's worth it once in a while.

The food is excellent and best mocktail I ever had. You may not find Gallo Nero much in web articles but one should not judge base on everything you see on the Web these days. The food well made and good selection of drinks, cheese and wine.

Fantastic place to relax at lunchtime and dinner,with excellent service and great food. Very clean and air conditioned. Surprisingly very reasonable prices. Be prepared for very generous servings. A very good wine list is available. Lunch is a set 3 coarse meal. Dinners ,the menu is large and has something for everyone. Again very generous servings of really good food. Great atmosphere and good fun. Highly recommended to all.
