Galloway Activity Centre

Went here for a kayaking session. The staff were very helpful and the loch is beautifully situated. You can either hire from the centre or bring your own equipment and pay a launching fee. There is a cafe and changing facilities on site. Parking is free for customers.

Hired a Mountain bike, I took my electric. Got taken across the lock in a boat and spent 3hrs gravel tracking. Picnic by the loch in solitude. Fantastic views. Staff are absolutely brilliant. Had a fantastic time.

We stayed in the Osprey for 4 nights, and also had our intimate wedding whilst here. Richard and Adam were brilliant, and on hand to help with anything we needed. The views are something you won’t find anywhere else, the accommodation is immaculate & the whole weekend was amazing. A massive thank you to Richard for allowing us to have our day here & accommodating us so well. There was a massive range of activities available which we didn’t have time to try, but plan on returning to make the most of it. Thank you all again 🤍

Spent the morning here yesterday myself and 2 daughters aged 10&11. What a great day, all staff were very helpful and friendly. Special mention to Ray who was absolutely fantastic with the girls. My youngest can be a bit scared of things but he totally put her at ease. He was funny, professional, and really went above and beyond to make them enjoy this. He took them out to the water inflatables and i heard the little one cracking jokes so knew she felt safe with him. Was so reasonably priced for the time spent on the activity, the cafe was also very reasonable. The views are breathtaking, and was very dog friendly. Will 100% be back here.

Our paddle board session with Sam was amazing, we felt safe and well instructed out on the water and had a great time exploring on the paddle boards. Would highly recommend to anyone and will certainly be back soon.

Booked this a couple of days ago, highlight of our stay. Kids loved the high speed thrill ride. Staff were very friendly & knowledgeable to guests and care for local wildlife. Thanks for our boat ride

Spent a fantastic long weekend here with my nearly 12yo son in early August, staying in the small glamping dome. The dome was great - saved me pitching and taking down my tent in fairly strong wind and the log burner was a really welcome addition for getting warm and drying clothes in the non existent 2024 summer. We tried a number of activities including sailing, wobbly waterpark, archery, kayak, paddle boarding and climbing and every instructor was brilliant. Special mention to Sam who was great on the sailing, making it fun for us as well as a really young brother and sister pair in another boat. And also thanks to Tom for swiftly pulling my son to safety when he took a tumble on the waterpark. Guests are in good hands here.

We had a fantastic time Dragon boating and sailing with the Scout group! All the instructions were great and made the sessions fun and informative. We'll definitely be back! Thank you! 🤩
