Gallt Y Glyn Hostel - Pizza a Peint

Came hete for a family meal pre-christmas and really enjoyed ourselves. The pizzas are fresh and tadtey and worth giving a try. The beers are all welsh which is a nice touch! Staff are lovely and friendly and attentive. We booked in for the xmas grotto at the time and this was ideal for our daughters. Overall does is the cost worth what you get? Not really. Is it still worth going? Of course! The only thing that lets it down is the higher prices which i feel are marginally overpriced, but the food is nice so its hard to even be this negative. Give them a try at least!

Good location, 10min walk to the Llanberis path, basic accommodation but if your only in your room to sleep and on a budget this is a solid choice, Darren the host is fantastic, knowledgeable and could not help you more, the other staff and locals are friendly and the pizza and beer are all really good after a day on the mountain. Darren did say they were in the process of renovating although no disruption was experienced during our 2 night stay, overall I would definitely stay again

We stayed at this hostel on the 2nd July 2025 and we had an incredible experience. We booked a private room|Number 9 and it was great for what we needed it for to sleep before climbing Snowdon the next day. The room was clean, was good sized, the shower had good pressure. No telly as it’s a hostel but the WiFi was good for us to use our laptop for Netflix with WiFi. The atmosphere felt good to, ||We used the restaurant and the pizza and pasta were amazing! It was Super close so only 3 mins drive to the car park for the LLANBERIS path for Snowdon. Perfect for an early 4:30 start. ||They also offer breakfast to. Free parking included was helpful. The staff were friendly and helpful and we cannot wait to stay again when we come back to explore Snowdon! Great value for money

Second time back and this place never disappoints. Ran by a team who always go out their way to look after you. The rooms are excellent for this price and we even got breakfast free for booking direct. The restaurant is also very reasonably priced despite serving excellent food.

For the price you can't go wrong. Functional bunk rooms for groups with breakfast included (if you book direct). On top of that the food and drink they serve are top quality and very reasonably priced- pizza and a beer for £12 is a bargain in this day and age- and it's a short walk into the village with restaurants and shops.

Amazing service! I love this place… visit every time I’m in Llanberis for a gluten free pizza. The staff are amazing, always super-friendly and helpful. Food was a bit slow being served this time so they gave us a free desert and free drinks - no need but they insisted. Can’t recommend highly enough!

I have eaten Gallt Y Glyn’s pizza and drunk their beer in the past and that was great. This time I stayed in the two bed en-suite bedroom over a weekend whilst I helped out with a triathlon. Elin and Darren are fantastic hosts.. nothing was a bother and I felt warmly welcomed. There is off road parking and of course an excellent bar and restaurant. The room itself was comfy with an excellent hot shower and tea and coffee making facilities which was much appreciated. It is only a short walk to Llanberis and I would suggest from other bunk house experiences this is is the best for miles around. If you have a choice stay here!

I took a work colleague visiting from the US out around north wales on bikes and remembered about here from years ago when I last visited. Figured a stop here for pizza and a pint on route was a must and boy did it not disappoint! Food was awesome and so was the service! Diolch eto am noson gwych.
