Freshness Is the Focus in This Sustainable Florida Food Scene

"A 26-acre Parrish farm managed by Will Manson that supplies local restaurants with sustainably grown produce—romaine, kale, microgreens and more—cultivated without synthetic fertilizers or pesticides and produced under controlled conditions on land that once supported an orange grove." - Wendy Pramik

Gamble Creek Farms hosts different events throughout the year for families to enjoy together. We love grabbing a bite to eat whenever we visit, their baked goods are so fresh and tasty.

Overall at the end pretty expected for a small farmers market store. While customer service was polite and respectable their overall product was very limited. The vegetable selection was pretty paltry with only the standard selection(Tomato,Lettuce,Carrots) and fruits(Pears/Small Watermelons/Peaches). The prices also seemed pretty extravagant where a 12oz bottle of maple syrup was being sold for $11. The place was very clean and organized but at the end a place I won't be going back to any time soon. Honestly you'd get a better selection at the Publix Grocery store then here which is ironic as you expect a farmers market to have a larger selection of product to buy as opposed to a franchise store.

Gamble Creek Farms is one of the few fully organic farms left in the state of Florida. The property is absolutely beautiful. Their mission, values and commitment to providing high quality, nutritious produce to locals is amazing. Gamble Creek Farms is a certified organic farm. They also have several certifications from organizations such as: Florida Organic Growers USDA Organic Quality Certification Services U.S. Green Building Council I stopped by Gamble Creek Farms to pick up some fresh picked produce from their fields. The owner is absolutely wonderful and friendly. You can tell they are passionate about sustainable and regenerative agriculture. They also sell a selection of organic, locally produced baked goods (muffins, croissants, and even sourdough bread). They carry milk from nearby Daiken Dairy, as well as pasture raised chicken and grass fed beef and steak. They also have a selection of sandwiches, wraps, and homemade soups. Wow - the soups are incredible. Butternut squash, tomato bisque, and curry lentil - made fresh daily and all organic. Amazing! Highly recommended skipping your big corp grocery store and getting your produce from a real farm that is fighting to keep our soil healthy, by providing the highest quality produce available.

So thrilled to have found this amazing organic market/farm. Bought steak for dinner tonight, pasta, coffee, hot sauce, tomato pest sauce, apple wood cheese, and treats for the pups! They make sandwiches and soups available for lunch, I was like a kid in a candy store. Treat yourself and go check them out!

Beautiful place! Bought fresh bread..fresh made chicken and cranberry salad, shrimp creole type salad, smoked cheese and a few other items. It was my first visit and not my last. They do alot of wonderful things for the whole community with their organically grown fruits and vegetables. They supply alot restaurants around here and surrounding areas. They have tours there too. Worth a peek for sure!

This farm is across the street from where I will be living and I have been curious to try it out. I think the organic farm vegetables are great! The tomatoes and kale are delicious and I love the mission of pesticide free farm to table. There is a small variety, but I think that comes with the territory of truly organic and seasonal produce. The other organic veggie options are good as well including Petrichor’s mushrooms. Four daughter’s chicken and turkey products are delicious. A little disappointed in the lack of grass fed/grass finished beef options was not a fan of the one type that was there. Would personally like to see some local Florida ranch beef (seems hard to find) Overall I have enjoyed the items I have purchased and the farm has become a part of my shopping routine. Staff members are kind and friendly too !

Disappointed that there was little local produce. The tomato I purchased was from Mexico and not so good. Maybe it wasn't the right season to visit. The workers were nice as was the location. I did purchase BBQ sauce made somewhere in FL. Haven't tried it.

If you have never visited Gamble Creek Farms do yourself a favor and do so. Chef Ken is truly a master at his craft. His soups are simply amazing. You can tell he loves to cook and create because it shows in all his recipes. A great selection and variety of many different foods and fresh produce and all the girls that work there are super nice and personable. I am lucky to live close by.

Yelp
We love our local businesses ESPECIALLY Gamble Creek Farms! The staff are amazing and super helpful! The food is fresh and delicious We have had sandwiches, the chicken salads, bakery items, produce and healthy juices. I would recommend all of them! Looking forward to trying more things!

Yelp
Looking forward to a return visit when renovations are complete. Right now things are a bit cramped. But still a good selection of pastries and locally grown/sourced foods. The chocolate croissant is amazing! The ladies working were very friendly as well!

Yelp
I always want to like this place, but the food always leaves me disappointed. First problem is, I can't eat mayonnaise and that seems to be this places favorite condiment. Almost all the sandwiches are made with mayonnaise. Their muffuletta used to be good, but now it's made on focaccia bread. Their produce selection seems really limited these days. But they do have good soups.

Yelp
For those in our community who rely on Publix, Costco or even Whole Foods for their produce and meats, you are buying goods typically made outside of the USA that have been in transport to distribution then to the market in which you shop. And sometimes covered in preservatives. We are lucky enough to live in an area where farms and ranches are not more than a couple of hours away, are family owned and support our local farmers and community. This is one of those places you SHOULD be going to. From fresh lettuce to potatoes to fruits, bacon, beef and more - it's right around the corner! There's also coffee and fresh baked goods for breakfast or brunch from local bakeries. We bought fresh lemons at 60cents - Publix sells them for $1 or more. Boston lettuce and Romaine lettuce less than Whole Foods. Go every week- restock and know this is what farm to table is really all about. And while you're at it, Daikin Dairy - Milk Chocolate Milk, butter & eggs is in west Myakka and Hunsader Farms is on the way with home grown Strawberries, Tomatoes, Grape Tomatoes Cherry Tomatoes,Collard Greens, Broccoli & Cauliflower. SUPPORT OUR LOCAL FARMS!

Yelp
I love that this adorable farm is so close to us. The lettuce was delicious which we used to make salads for lunch. They give you little wooden baskets to shop. They have pasta and some local frozen meats as well.

Yelp
If you are seeking ORGANIC, almost NOTHING ORGANIC... VERY expensive. No indication nor information from staff as to where "sourced" products come from, etc. We bought a few items; though, for us seeking organic, a long drive and a waste of precious time; never will we return, nor do we recommend this market for anything other than local shopping for those who may find a few products of interest.

Yelp
Awesome farm to table market. Very fresh from the ground fruits and vegetables. They also have daily fresh baked bread and locally produced bacon and sausage . A pleasent ride out to the farm takes you into the countryside. Easy access and great prices. You just can't get any fresher unless you pick it yourself . Awesome staff friendly and knowledgeable. Be sure to stop in and see all they offer.

Yelp
Cute farm stand in Parrish. Truly reminds of "farm to table" vegetables and produce. Prices are slightly above grocery store but good quality. Have been here a handful of times and never disappointed. They also have a fresh bakery section with a variety of breads including croissants, ciabatta (our absolute fav is the olive- 5 different kids), banana, etc. All so fresh. Definitely check it out.

Yelp
Bought a little bit of everything and it was all great.I especially loved the kimchi, olive ciabatta bread and the croissants.I'm definitely going back, and it's a 45 minute drive away plenty of places closer but the kimchi was the best I ever had.

Yelp
Very friendly and awesome place . Veggies are fresh and organic. I recommend if you like fresh and clean. Great customer service !

Yelp
I have had mixed results with the baked goods purchased here. I'm not sure if older baked goods are pulled. A friend bought a sour dough loaf of bread that was stale. Another time, I purchased the olive rolls that were delicious. Another time we bought the pumpkin cheesecakes, only to find mold on the bottom. Scones have been delicious. I like to support local businesses, but I'm not sure if I will be driving back to this place.

Yelp
Waste of time. The one picture you see of one table/stand is accurate, that's the only thing there. Oh there is a refrigerator cabinet with a few things. If I owned it I wouldn't want any public to see it. Almost any roadside stand is better.

Yelp
Love love love this store!!! Pompano fish was literally spectacular and the produce was perfect. The bacon was really good and the other cut of bacon we made into Chicharrones that was and always is a show stopper - not sure of the name of that one sorry. Got a nice candle and a lemon bar those we perfectly done. and the cheese curds were very fresh and tasty as well. This store is top rate and the people are super nice to deal with....BONUS!!!

Susan W.

Yelp
First time there this weekend and we live right across the road. Luv it; berry muffin was tasty and moist. Bacon was soooo good. Want to try pompano and other veges. Sweet and helpful people.
