The Mahatma Gandhi Museum in Pune is a truly inspiring place to visit. The highlight for me was the lifelike statue of Mahatma Gandhi—it looks so real that for a moment I felt like Bapu himself was sitting there. The museum beautifully showcases his life, philosophy, and journey with thoughtful exhibits and displays. It’s a peaceful space that not only teaches history but also makes you reflect on Gandhiji’s values of truth and non-violence. The staff is helpful, and the atmosphere is calm, making it a great place for both students and families. A must-visit for anyone in Pune who wants to connect with India’s history and Gandhiji’s timeless message

Aga Khan Palace served as the prison for Mahatma Gandhi in Pune from Aug 1942 to May 1944. He lived here along with his wife Kasturba, his secretary Mahadev Desai & Sarojini Naidu. Both Kasturba Gandhi and Mahadev Desai died in the premises of this Palace turned prison. The Historical palace with significance during Indian freedom struggle period. There is a memorial here for Gandhi and his wife. Well maintained gardens which look very pretty during daytime and such a peaceful environment.

We went there on a weekend, yet there was less crowd, and the place was peaceful. Huge parking is available for 4 Wheeler and 2 Wheeler for free. Entry tickets are only online, so carry a mobile. Accessibility is present This is in Aga khan palace. Great to see the memorial is preserving Gandhi and his ideology. He was house arrested here for two years. It seems kasturba left to her abode here. Ash from Gandhi's cremation is kept here in a samadhi of Gandhi as memorial along with kasturba's. The photos and gallery has very good detail of the history. It would be good if government encourages local guides who are still alive from the freedom struggle times

1. I've visited this place in the aunday morning 🌄 around 10 AM. The crowd was very less. 2. You need to buy ticket from Archelogical society of India website. You can find the scanner at the entrance. Ticket price = Rs. 20 per person. 3. The place is not so big. Time spend will depend on how much time you spent in each gallery to know the history. 4. This place is dedicated to Gandhi Ji's journey to get freedom. You can find samadhi of kasturba gandhi and mahatma gandhi's secretary. 5. Only allowed to visit the One floor(Ground floor). 6. Very peace place to visit and gain some knowledge about our history. 7. You can find toilets and drinking water inside. 8. Only thing is everything is written in text. It would have been better if journey is explained through some models.
