We stayed here as a group. It was our first accomodation during a 18-day trip, and the only one in a historic building, so here we got the whole package of typical bhutanese interiors, we otherwise only experienced in homestays: wooden flooring and a labyrinth of steep and somewhat uneven staircases (you have to get used to that anyway, the same goes for temples), small rooms with the typical trefoil window motifs, the room was cozy, and warm enough, thanks to working electrical heaters, and it's great to take a shower looking across the Paro valley, with full view on the Paro dzong. The buffet was standard fare, but the dining room has a spectacular view on the valley, the WiFi is a bit wonky. I agree with another reviewer, the walls are not sound-proof, so I could hear the neighbour's snoring, but I get it, the building is old, and soundproofing the rooms would take away their charm.
