Replying to @Ms.Redrum Ohayo Hommas, My friend found an interesting Tsukemen spot in Ikebukuro, Tokyo. The dipping sauce uses mentaiko. I have tried places where the sauce mixes fish and chicken or fish and pork. This one felt new. They build the dipping sauce on rich mentaiko and push that flavor as far as possible. They worked with a top noodle maker and built noodles that match the sauce. Their focus on taste and constant testing led to the first Mentai Nikomi Tsukemen in Hakata, Fukuoka. If you like mentaiko or you want something new, visit this place. Location: Ganso Mentai Nikomi Tsukemen As always, thank you for watching my content!

We came in a weekday at 11:30, plenty of space at that time. The food was excellent, very refreshing, everything was so serviced in perfection. And the best part is that this place has not been ransacked by the influx of tours, we are the only tourist here at this moment, had a really enjoyable meal👍🏼

Mentaiko flavored tsukemen. You can choose the amount of noodles. The restaurant is clean and spacious. It's delicious.つけ麺

Excellent service and delicious food. You select your noodle quantity at the beginning before you sit. Make sure your whole party is present before seating. This restaurant is very popular, with signs in the stairwell indicating how long the wait is based on your location. Worth it.

Good! 🤌🏻 I ordered the recommended set meal. The soup is tasty and flavorful. The texture of the noodles is just fine. It is not worthy to try it again. Without boiled egg and meat(chashu) for +2000yen price, I think it is expensive👎🏼

I really enjoyed it. It deserves the 5 stars. The restaurant is slightly hidden away down a narrow hallway and past the elevator. Follow the stairs up to the second floor. I first noticed the traditional Japanese music and the indoor woodwork. No wait. I was seated immediately. Once you're greeted, you'll pick up a small wooden tab that shows how much noodles you want. I was served quickly and efficiently. Let's be real, you're here for the mentaiko. You can choose your spiciness level or add spicy paste to your liking. It comes with rice but I asked them to hold it, 200g noodles was enough for me. The noodles were fresh and thick, and the broth was extremely enjoyable. The broth came in its own heated pot with a lid. They served a tea that had a rich flavor, I couldn't quite put my finger on what it was. I had added in two eggs and some pork as add ons. Tsukemen is a different take on traditional ramen eating. It's fun to dip noodles every once in a while. I'd definitely come back again!

This is my second time here. The first time was 3 years ago. I thought the Pollock roe ramen(明太子) was special. I'd never eaten it anywhere else in Tokyo. Therefore, I recommend that you try it at least once.

The food is incredibly delicious, the dipping is very thick and perfect for dipping noodles (they give you soup if you think it's too thick). The place is actually quite big, you can only access it through stairs though. When you enter the restaurant you need to pick the amount of noodles and the spiciness. The amount of noodle and spiciness doesn't affect the price to a certain level. I think the soup is seafood based and it doesn't come with pork char siu and egg like the usual ramen (you have to order it separately).

A unique tsukemen place where they only server 1 menu which is mentaiko tuskemen (pollock roe flavoured). The taste is pretty refreshing for a tuskemen and it is not too thick. You can adjust the spiciness of your brooth (if you like and can handle spicy food, i'd recommend to try the spiciest one - they are not that spicy) And they also have a puding, which taste amazing, but too pricy.
