What a great shop! I end up going there all the time. It was great to have them in the neighborhood when I needed a serving platter at the last minute, but then I also go there for basic tools all the time too. This is a real neighborhood spot, the kind that you don't see any more. The owner says Hi when I walk down the street give a wave to my kids. He's always helpful and willing to go above and beyond for the customers.

Gantry hardware service is the best! I went to get a new tension rod because I had trouble with the one I had purchased previously and since I had purchased it from there and was having trouble with it they gave me a new one for free. They are dedicated to helping solution for things that WORK. And will not sell you something that they believe doesn't work. Highly recommend this store for all of your handy hardware needs!

I love this place and always come here for all of my hardware needs. It’s well stocked and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I came in here looking for something very specific and Ovi, the owner, spent time with me to ensure I got what I needed. They really go above and beyond. Feels like a real neighborhood shop where they care about their customers. I highly recommend paying them a visit!

Loved our experience at Gantry’s today. We came in right before closing time and the owner was so nice and helpful. He helped us find everything we needed. The store is very well stocked, nicely lit and super clean.

Just go to home depot. They don’t let you return literally anything, even if the item was sold to you by an employee who promised it would work! Shady, dishonorable, and completely lacking in the relevant knowledge (clearly). Don’t waste your time or money. Go elsewhere for cheaper, returnable, and employees with greater knowledge.

Very disappointed with the service here. The person working there didn’t really seem confident in what he was doing and ended up selling me something that didn’t fit. When I tried to return it they wouldn’t take the return. Their receipt basically lists every category of items they sell as unreturnable - if you’re going to do that make sure your employees know what they are doing and your customers know that ahead of the purchase. This type of practice is extremely predatory, especially people who go to a local hardware store for help/advice! So much for supporting a local business…

A New York neighborhood would not be complete without a hardware store, and this local store has pretty much everything you need for a city apartment. I have had to do minor and some major repairs, some decorating, some "gardening" in our small outdoor space and have never once been to this store without finding what I needed. They also stock bulk household goods like cleaner refills etc. The staff are very knowledgeable and friendly and they pack so much into their shop.
