So, here we are at the 5th stop of a brewery tour I put together for my girlfriend, and we've become experts at this point. Try a couple samples, find a beer you like, and order it. Then you enjoy wonderful beer.
Here at Garage? Not so much. The owner in his/her infinite wisdom, has decided to not offer tasters. Coupled with their decision of keeping a chain on the ADA wheelchair emergency exit in the patio, it seems like poor decisions are part of the repertoire.
This is the most complicated beer tasting experience I've ever found. If you're reading this, I'd pay you good money to unfind it. They limit what you can order, they're out of beers that are on the menu, and again--they don't offer splashes of their beer before you order it.
A flight we ordered was horrible. We chose the beers, so that's on us, maybe. Be careful, because the flight of 8 beers that has 5 ounce pours, can't have too many beers that has anything higher than 8%. But I can't taste their beers without ordering it, so I'm stuck.
Save your money. Save your patience. Go anywhere else. And if nothing you want is open, call me. I'll happily crack 5 beer cans open for you so you can try them--and I'm not even a damned brewery.
Update: the owner called the beer tender while we were there, and the guy asked if I wrote a review, tossed the trays we ordered, and told us we weren't welcome. All because the owner couldn't handle a bad, but accurate review. 8 people who now want to write a review? Good job. My friend took video, and I've got a pic of the locked up ADA gate, which the owner now says is not an ADA gate. Fine. You locked up an Emergency Exit gate. Because that's better, somehow?
