The best Instagram spots in Moscow, Russia - SilverKris

"A pioneering contemporary art institution founded in 2008 by Dasha Zhukova that occupies the former 1960s Vremena Goda Soviet-modernist pavilion in Gorky Park; designed by Rem Koolhaas, the museum showcases cutting-edge avant-garde exhibitions and is itself an architectural draw." - SilverKris

Not many items are on display yet, as it still feels like a work in progress. The museum has a dedicated open café and a bookstore—the café even features a full bar with an impressive drink list at fair prices. It serves as a pleasant resting spot in the middle of Gorky Park. However, I’m not entirely sure why it carries the title of “museum,” even with the word “Garage” attached. Aside from the café and the second-floor library and study area, it doesn’t yet feel substantial enough to warrant that designation.

The museum consistently brings interesting exhibitions, and the building itself is worth a visit. I like that they provide good descriptions, even for people not deeply into modern art. However, some exhibits feel a bit too conceptual or short, so the visit can end quicker than expected. The bookstore and cafe are nice additions Good place to revisit every few months

Beautiful place, really nice cashiers, the exhibition was very interesting and thought provoking. There is a wardrobe, you can leave your bags there, toilets, cafe, a shop with books and other art souvenirs. At the gallery there is a discount for students. They give out masks at the entrance. There are hand sanitizers. It’s kind of chilly during autumn and you’ll be asked to leave your coat at the wardrobe, so dress accordingly.

This place is full of interesting people that you can start a conversation with, a perfect place for contemplate the actual tendencies of art in the world. I like this place in every season, it's curious, there aren't a lot of tourists there, it's more like a place for people from Moscow 😄. I recommend it, in summer they have many interesting festivals and a nonpermanent Cinema

Interesting exhibition at the time visited. Different and suprising - one of a kind, since it specifically refers to a moment in history of Russia that we won't see again_"Digging Up Soviet Underground Culture". Suspect they at any given moment will have a interesting exhibit to offer for art-lovers. The museum is progressive and rethinks the concept of art. The Park itself where it is located is nice too.. Check out the book store - it is a gem💯

I loved the exposition and the museum is very modern, clean, and beautiful. Its only problem is that it is in the middle of a park, which makes it hard to access. Overall a great place to visit if you like modern art (and even if you don't).

Small museum and cultural artistic hub in the heart of Gorki park. Cool industrial modern design. Nice place to see modern art exhibitions. Cool that they have place to keep coats and backpacks. Highly recommended.

Great spot for arts in lovely Gorky Park. Naturally, your mileage may vary when it comes to the exhibitions. We were lucky that at least one of them were amazing. Museum shop was OK as well.
