Came in to check out the space. Garden House has a wonderful and inviting atmosphere. The staff was personable. The owner Jordan is cool and always welcoming of guests. I just got a honey lavender oat milk latte and hung out for a bit. But there are a lot of awesome plants to view or purchase and other vendors’ items worth checking out. The vendors are other local artists/creators as well.

This is a hidden gem with an incredible atmosphere.. great coffee and pastries! And the combination of coffee and plants is an awesome concept. The space has a very chill vibe and not only offers coffee, pastries and beautiful plants.. but also offers a blend of unique hard to find clothing, original artwork, and gifts. Great spot!!

Cute coffee shop with a lovely aesthetic and lots of plants for a serotonin boost. Everything seemed a little pricey but overall I liked this spot and would come back. The staff was all very nice

Very relaxing coffee spot. Passing by Garden House each day on my route work, I always thought it looked inviting and I wasn’t disappointed. With my first visit being early on a cool fall morning, I enjoyed browsing the interior amidst the calm atmosphere and chill indie music. Their array of plants and items for sale like jewelry add to the character of this place. The space for sitting is not huge but I’m not familiar enough to know if they get busy/crowded (there is some outdoor seating though). My kind of place.

Super cool and vibey Coffee Shop. Plants everywhere and a small little boutique inside. There’s space to work if you wanted to , it’d also be a great date spot. Barista was kind and laid back. Chill environment all around. I got a lavender latte and ham and cheese croissant. Chefs kiss 🤌🏽

This gorgeous space is filled to the brim with good vibes, earthy tones, and charming cacti. Not only is the space well executed and put together, the coffee is A+ Definitely swing by for your next coffee and to shop some local KC goodies

I love going to Garden House. One of the best cups of coffee in KC, and roasted in house! The space is beautiful and peaceful, with some local vendors products like vintage clothes, handmade ceramics, and earrings that would be a great spot to gift shop for birthdays or Christmas! There’s a really fun playground down the street as well for moms/families looking for a spot for kiddos after grabbing a cuppa. Can’t say enough about this place, go support some wonderful people and try your new favorite morning spot!

This was a great coffee spot. The inside of this coffee shop is absolutely adorable with lots of handmade items and plants, as well as plenty of seating. I got a drip coffee that was strong, but really rich and flavorful. Overall, I would love to go back and try more things on the menu!

Yelp
it's a very beautiful place, i got a chai latte and omg, it's very spicy, and delicious! i've never had such a spicy chai.. i love the ambiance here too, it's very chill! drinks come out quick too. one thing i found a con in is that there is noooo seats, so if you're planning to come and study, better to get here earlier !

Yelp
Great iced lattes, good looking bakery items, cool vibe with tables placed among plants, clothes and a variety of specialty items to purchase. Such a refreshing option in a sea of chain coffee shops.

Yelp
I love this coffee shop with a small shop and lots of plants. They have plenty of seating and provide a very quiet space for working. The espresso is very smooth and they have perfect latte art. I ordered a honey cappuccino and it was perfection. I will continue to come back when in the area.

Yelp
I'm always looking for the next best coffee shop, and Garden House definitely fits that. Coffee and plants, what more could you want!? The cappuccino was perfectly prepared and the latte art made it almost too pretty to drink (almost). It's the perfect place to catch up with a friend, study, work or just relax among the plants.

Yelp
Come out and support this local gem. What looks like a small coffee shop is really a wonderful place to catch up with a friend, do some thrifting, and maybe get a new backpack. The coffee was almost as great as the people working there. This place worth adding to your weekly stops!

Yelp
The only thing that earned a 1 star was the aesthetic. Other than that service sucked and so did their drinks. Flavorless cold milk And bland water for $20. lol Waste of local support.

Yelp
I stumbled upon Garden House while taking a short cut off SW Blvd turning right (west) instead of getting onto I-35. I passed this groovy black building with several people waiting a the door to enter and since it was a Saturday morning I assumed it was a restaurant I had to turn around as I loved the outside vibe. Well its primary service is coffee with a limited menu bagels, burritos and sweets. I ordered a cold brew and veggie burrito which they heated in a panini grill which was really nice instead of a microwave. As I waited I was wide eyed with their retail offerings from accessories, clothing, plants for sale to locally made jewelry but not stopping there I walked through the back door into this Eden of Cacti of all sizes, tropical plants and pottery. Plants are everywhere surrounding you giving you a relaxing feel. My cold brew was tasting the burrito was hot with that crunchy outer shell and the vibe was pleasant. P.S they also have entertainment

Yelp
Garden House has replace Meta Coffee in Argentine at the far western end of SW Blvd. The coffee menu looks the same but the atmosphere is most definitely improved. Gone is the leatherworks and high end men's accessories shop in the back of the building and replaced with a few locally made gift items and plants, plants and more plants... they have even expanded the space to include a large area down a flight of stairs in the rear of the building to provide much more seating and you guessed it...PLANTS. The coffee menu is pretty basic - nothing very creative or seasonal but my cortado was solid. Food options include premade sandwiches and sweets from a few local shops. Overall a very chill environment for a respite from the urban jungle, with a real jungle vibe - or at least a botanical shop or greenhouse.

Yelp
If sipping on coffee while surrounded by luscious plants is your ideal way to start a morning, then Garden House Cafe in Kansas City, Kansas is the spot for you! From floor to ceiling, this cafe is covered in beautiful and healthy plants. From coffee to cold brews and lattes, there is a a little bit of everything on the menu to pick between. There are some pastries to chose from, along with delicious breakfast burritos. We ordered our coffee and found a lovely spot in the back area to sit. The Garden House Cafe is a great location to work remote as well! Before you leave, check out some of the accessories and items for purchase - there are adorable earrings and plant stands to look at! If you have not had the change to check out Garden House Cafe, I highly recommend it!

Yelp
Earthy coffee vibes The perfect little cafe located in Kansas City KS. Featuring plants, espresso bar, home accessories, local vendors and a large area for people to mingle. Plus they have local food from Bread Friends Co for bagel, Splitlog for burritos and Hanas for donuts, cinnamon rolls and fritters. I tried the Brown Sugar latte and it was full of flavor and sweet but strong. Loved it.

Yelp
This a cute coffee shop for coffee, tea and plant lovers alike! The design style and selected decorations work together to create a peaceful and productive environment. Most of the plants in the store are for sale. The shop also displays products from different vendors. So, you can come have your coffee or tea, a light breakfast; shop for plants, home decor, or stationary, and be productive! The barista was skilled, knowledgeable and nice! My caramel latte was a work of art with the perfect hint of sweetness, without overpowering the espresso. The cold brew also tasted great! I did not get a picture of it, but we also had an everything bagel with cream cheese. There was nothing too crazy about it, but it was yummy! All in all, I highly recommend everyone check this coffee shop out. If you do, please note that parking can be a little tricky. There's street parking on the main road and the little street.

Yelp
I really wanted to like this place, as plants are definitely a religion for me.. these were some of the nastiest barristas i've ever come across. The guy w long hair didnt even say hello when i walked up to counter. And then the petite copper/brunette w bangs didnt respond when i said thank you. Their whole vibe was like you were wasting their time - very stuck up and just not friendly or welcoming. The jewelry and clothing is insanely overpriced. I liked the palo santo burning but it's definitely too much- if u have asthma be warned. And last but not least- they're coffee wasn't even good enough for them to be this snooty. VERYYY watered down, tastes like a child made it, unfortunate bc the beans do have flavor but they're not using the right alternative CREAMER, just sad mylk. I wont be coming back. Parking extremely limited.

Yelp
For a plant lover and someone who studies, this is such an ideal ideal spot. The barista's seemed to know the customers there so you know they have a great relationship on both ends. They don't have many sweet options first thing in the morning but drink options are great.

Yelp
Not impressed at all with the coffee or service. Im from out of town and this is the worst coffee shop I've experienced in KC so far. I ordered a plain black iced coffee (my regular order) and it was disgusting; I could only drink 2 sips before throwing it away, my partner got a cold brew (his normal order), he tossed his as soon as he tasted it, was awful as well. Our friend got a matcha, his was the only one of the three that tried to finish his drink, but even it was the worst matcha he'd had. The baristas weren't friendly at all, I paid cash and they "didn't have change"??? So it was implied that I was to tip whatever was leftover (I planned to do that anyways but why wouldn't a business have change???). The response I got from the barista when I handed her the cash was "I don't have any change to give you" after she'd already accepted my cash and put it in her drawer. It was so weird the way that was handled and the terrible coffee to top it off made the experience even worse. 0/10 save your money (and tastebuds) and try Sway Coffee instead.
