Garden of Eating BYO Restaurant

Loved dinner here. Culinary delight. Must tries are the kangaroo tacos and tofu. The chicken in coconut sauce was a bit disappointing in comparison, but the others were wonderful and bursting with flavour. Great and attentive service. We would have tried their deserts had we not been in a rush. So many GF and DF options. The decor is eclectic, but it really fits.

Absolutely Devine!! If only I could give 10 stars out of 5. How have I lived in Townsville for 6yrs and not been here before (years wasted). My wife and I celebrated our 14th wedding anniversary here and how glad we were. Every dish was AMAZING (we did several) and we will be back every chance we get. Thank you Wayne and Adele for a magical experience, and we will certainly be back.

Wonderful, intimate outdoor dining atmosphere. Service is welcoming, the food never disappoints. Impressive menu choices for those with special dietary requirements. Definitely the destination for a Special Dinner. Bravo!

Absolutely exquisite food you will be hard pressed to taste anywhere else. Such a beautiful dining garden with relaxed vibe you will lose track of the time. Adele and Wayne are incredible they make you feel just at home. Truly is little gem nestled in South Townsville.

An eclectic and romantic atmosphere at this little restaurant. Indoors is vibrant and tastefully quirky, yet cosy at the same time, and the lush outdoor secret garden experience is romantic as heck and perfect for date night with all the fairy lights. The best part though, is the food. Weird and unique flavour combinations are, to put it plainly, extraordinary! Chef Wayne is an absolute genius. Your brain and tastebuds will go 'wow' with every mouthful. All the times we have visited, the food is cooked to perfection. Quite a feat when Wayne is the only person in the kitchen! Adele is the most amazing host. She makes you feel welcome and comfortable and you never feel rushed. There is not another place like this out there, and everyone needs to try it out at least once. You'll fall in love with the place just like we did! Cannot recommend this lovely little spot highly enough.

Overall an amazing experience. Three vegan mains to choose from and most desserts vegan. My favourite was the fritter but the dahl is a must to try too. We had the crumble and cheesecake for dessert with ice-cream, mousse and cotton candy. Preferred the crumble but so love hot puddings. Impeccable service, so attentive and happy. When all outside tables are full it can be a little noisy if sat in the middle but there is a great garden, lights and plants. Lots of parking nearby and a nice date for 2.

A small intimate restaurant that deserves all the awards it has one. The service excellent, the food phenomenal. BYO, Mains come in entree sizes perfect for people that do not eat too much ☺ A must experience gastronomical adventure.

This quirky little restaurant is fantastic! The food is totally unique and really delicious. The service and atmosphere are excellent, relaxing and friendly. We are from inner city Sydney and thought we had the market cornered for unique and unconventional cafes and restaurants, however the Garden of Eating, 'takes the cake!'....no pun intended.
