"Just an hour and a half south of Denver, Colorado Springs’ Garden of the Gods contrasts central Colorado’s tallest mountains, including the 14,000-foot Pikes Peak, with monstrous red rock formations that slice through the hilled skyline. The park has a number of hiking trails as well as options for biking and rock climbing. For a local’s secret, avoid the tour bus crowds at the center of the park by taking the three-mile Chambers, Bretag, and Palmer loop trail. You’ll get the same stunning vistas with enough room to maintain a casual conversation. Nearby, The Broadmoor resort offers several dining options for lunch and dinner, ranging from a quick service cafe to fine Italian at Ristorante del Lago." - MATADOR_NETWORK

A amazing place to spend a few hours surrounded by stunning scenery. The views are incredible, with towering red rock formations set against the mountains—definitely a spot that makes you stop and take it all in. The hiking is easy, with well-maintained trails that let you explore without too much effort. It’s the perfect place to enjoy nature, whether you’re walking, taking photos, or just soaking up the fresh air. Best of all, it’s free! TL;DR: Garden of the Gods Park is an awe-inspiring destination near Colorado Springs, perfect for hiking, photography, and soaking in nature’s beauty. A must-see if you’re in the area! Garden of the Gods Park is truly incredible. Located within an hour and a half of most of Denver, this is an absolute must-visit if you’re in the area. Just driving through the park is breathtaking, but adding some hiking and photography makes it an unforgettable experience. I visited on a warm December day, which was perfect for exploring the trails and capturing stunning shots of the towering red rock formations. Walking among these giants makes you feel so small in the best way. It’s a beautiful, humbling place to connect with nature and enjoy a peaceful day outdoors!

This place is beautiful year-round! I visited in the summertime before, and this time, I got to experience it in the winter. As it started snowing, the scenery became even more breathtaking. The best part? It’s free to drive through! I highly recommend stopping by the visitor center right across the entrance to make the most of your visit.

My wife and I loved this place. So much beauty. We like to travel off season so there is less tourists and we don't mind a bit of cold. It was not busy at all. We did arrive very early one morning for the sunrise. It was so beautiful and calm. Not really a place for hiking. Very nice paved paths and a rock to sit on every once in awhile. Plenty of bird activity as well which we enjoyed because we are both birders. I wish we lived closer because I would be here quite often.

Fun place to walk through and snap photos of the rock formations. Be careful! Rocks are hard and heavy. They can hurt you if you don’t respect them! Also we saw some deer and sheep wandering around. Please give them some space

5 Stars – Absolutely Breathtaking! Garden of the Gods is an unforgettable experience and a true natural wonder! The red rock formations are stunning, and the views of Pikes Peak in the background make it even more magical. Whether you’re hiking, driving through, or simply taking in the scenery, every turn offers something spectacular. The trails are well-maintained and offer options for all skill levels, from easy walks to more challenging hikes. We especially loved the Central Garden Trail for up-close views of the towering rocks. The visitor center is also fantastic – full of helpful information, exhibits, and a great gift shop. Best of all, it’s completely free! This is a must-see if you’re in Colorado Springs. We’ll definitely be back!

I love garden of the gods because it's super accessible and instantly beautiful. The main drag is entirely wheelchair accessible, the bathrooms are open year-round, the entire park is free. I've gone there with people who can barely walk and I've also ran for hours on the dirt trails, there's something here for everyone. I've only gone one time in the afternoon on a weekend when I couldn't find parking, but you can drive through the entire park and get amazing views.
