Garden Terrace Nagasaki Hotel & Resort

It is known that costumes service in Japan is excellent. However, this place service is next level ! Excellent service, amazing staff and a remarkable facility The only issue I had was regarding early check-in where they charged me about 70% of full night rate only to check-in 3 hours earlier, otherwise my experience was amazing and definitely I will comeback!!

Hotel situation at the mid level that we can enjoy the view of Nagasaki night and day time view via their viewing Terrance or pool side. Exceptional good service that I am impressed. Restaurants also service very good tasty food. It should be number 1 choice for anyone would like to have relaxing moments during their stay in Nagasaki

We loved it. Great food ,atmosphere ,architecture, rooms, infinity pool, executive lounge and service. I was there for 3days 2 nights... I enjoyed the breakfast, kaiseki and sushi courses

All the staff were so lovely and really cared about providing excellent hospitality. The food was good but a little pricey. The club lounge is definitely worth it.

A lovely hotel. Beautiful views. Interesting architecture. Someone wrote the beds are too hard. I quite enjoyed them. What we didn’t like was the lack of space for dinner at the restaurants on property. They apparently had limited chefs. We had to travel back to Nagasaki for dinner. If you stay here make your dinner reservations at the same time. If they can’t accommodate your reservation suggest you stay elsewhere. (Like the new Marriott)

We stayed one night in a Premium Harbor Suite Room. As a hotel, the Garden Terrace Nagasaki is very good property that's probably tops in the area. However, we were not impressed with the our room nor did we feel that it offered good value for the money.||||We were aware going in that the chief architect of the property was the renowned Kengo Kuma. And yes, looking at it from the outside it's futuristic-looking while appearing timeless at the same time - the design will have legs for sure. However, since we spend time inside hotels, I would like to comment on the fact that our Suite room was probably no more than 50 square meters in size, which is pretty small, especially for a relatively new property. While it wasn't the top room category, it was advertised as a "Suite" - as a Suite, it definitely was among the less spacious rooms we've stayed in. And, it was very dark. The lighting was super dim, and we could barely see our faces in front of the mirror. We also didn't feel that the interior decor and furnishings were as contemporary and fresh as what the outside design of the building seemed to promise. In a way, it already felt dated.||||On the plus side, the views from our balcony were stupendous - Nagasaki City really is a picturesque place, although it must be noted that you don't necessarily need to get a room at Garden Terrace to enjoy great views (try Glover's Garden, for instance.) And while we had a car so the location wasn't an issue, it would be for visitors whose primary purpose is to tour the main sights of the city. It's not super convenient, but there really isn't anything worth seeing that's within walking distance of the hotel, either.||||We had dinner at Sushi Dining Tenku, which is located in the main building of the hotel. The views from the restaurant were equally amazing, and the food was fresh and creative. We were a bit disappointed, however, that many of the same fish were used in not-very-different ways. For instance, they served Red Sea Bream and Sole as both a sashimi offering as well as Nigiri. That's okay on the surface, but I would've thought that Tenku would have access to an abundant variety of amazing and fresh fish that they wouldn't have to use the same fish twice. Overall, it was a good meal but not as memorable as some of the courses we enjoyed in other parts of Nagasaki on this trip.||||At the prices they charge, we expected the Garden Terrace to be amazing. While it's a very nice luxury hotel, we've had superior experiences at other hotels in Japan at similar (or lower) price points.

Beautiful hotel in the hills overlooking Nagasaki harbour. Very modern design; rooms were contemporary, large and comfortable. Service was exceptional. Very good breakfast; they provided exactly what we wanted in place of the normal Japanese breakfast they serve. Dinner was fine in their "French" restaurant without being "truly French". The slight disadvantage is that the sights of Nagasaki are not walkable from this hotel but it does offer a regular shuttle bus to the centre of town and taxis are plentiful if you want to get around otherwise. I am very happy to recommedn this hotel to visitors to this City

The Terrace Garden Hotel is an incredibly luxurious property with an incredible view of Nagasaki and the Bay - most exceptional at night. Not only is the view amazing but you can see it while bathing in the roomy tub in the luxurious room. There is a club room beside the pool where you can indulge in free snacks and drinks which is yet another opportunity to soak in the view while relaxing. We experienced a delicious breakfast with flexible menu and a wonderful dinner. I'm vegetarian which is more challenging in Japan than in my San Francisco hometown but they delivered a delicious multicourse vegetarian dinner that was also visually appealing and unique. The staff makes it clear that they are eager to please and they do. Highest recommendation although I should mention it is not cheap.

It was busy this time. The lounge didn't have various appetizers. But the staffs are always amazing. Fantastic view as usual. I can't wait for the next visit.

Amazing resort and property! Awesome food choices as well. Clean and beautifully designed rooms with fancy toilets (as one would expect in Japan)! Enjoyed the view from the room, the amenities that was included as well as the exceptional service from the staff. There is also a pool on the property which was too cold for us to use. There's also a spa which was a bit pricey but the hot stone massage was great!
