Gardenia Cafe

The gardenia is a haven of peace and warm welcome. The rooms are spacious. The surrounding gardens lush. The pool provides relief on hot days. Situated 5 minutes walk to the beach and amenities. The staff are kind and gentle. Staying here for the last two weeks has been a wonderful introduction to Sanur and the generosity of this place and people.

We had a delightful stay at Gardenia. Yes it’s dated and the decor a little tired but everything worked well and the bed was clean and comfortable as were the rooms. There is only a handful of rooms and by the second day all the staff knew us by our first names and we got to know several other guests. The cafe was great serving good wholesome fresh food at good prices and the team there were incredibly accommodating and friendly, Having just come from a large international hotel, this felt far more like being part of the Gardenia family. Not surprisingly, two of the other guests were travelling solo and appreciated the extra level of care and attention here.

The staff are so welcoming with big smiles. Great ambiance and they serve incredible food, so fresh and delicious! Quality food and service at a very reasonable price, five stars all the way!

The food is absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Whether you’re stopping in for a light bite or a full meal, every dish feels made with love. And the lemon meringue? Oh wow — it’s a must-try! Light, tangy, and perfectly sweet with that melt-in-your-mouth meringue topping. It’s honestly one of the best I’ve had. If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and come to Gardenia Cafe. You won’t regret it! 💛

This guest house has only 7 rooms and is set in a pleasant garden with a pool as well as a cafe and shop. Our room was spacious, the bed comfortable with everything we needed. TV, fridge, wifi large walk in shower in a big bathroom. As this is a small guest house there no problems with getting a seat at the pool. |The breakfast was a selection from a set menu which was good. One of the positives of this guest house is certainly the staff who were all extremely friendly and could not do enough to make our stay very enjoyable. We had dinner here on two ocassions and the food was very good, with the bonus of a live duo playing on a Sunday night, who were very good to listen to.| This guest house is not far from the beach or from many of the eateries in south Sanur.|Highly recommend this guest house.

Great food and very generous portions. Very happy we tried this place after seeing it many times. It is nice and peaceful so great if you to escape the noise and hustle of central. Will definitely be back soon 🙏 thank you

My wife and I have ridden our scooters by the Gardenia Cafe dozens of times since moving to Sanur last summer. We always said that one of these days we’re going to stop and have a meal there. Today was finally that day. From the moment we stepped onto the patio until we left, the wait staff were friendly and attentive. My wife had the Nasi Campur and I had the Chicken Schintzel. Both were delicious. The portions were so large that we both had enough leftovers to take home for another meal. This place is a hidden gem. We will definitely be back.

Went for late lunch/dinner and I had the best Fisherman’s Basket that I have ever had. The Dory was sublime, the Calamari was so tender it melted in my mouth and the prawns were perfect. Home made chips accompanied by a very fresh salad and condiments. A beautiful little spot to sit and enjoy the surroundings. The staff are just lovely and speak very good English so feel free to chat. I will definitely be back. A must when in Bali as it’s close to everything. Sorry I don’t have pictures as my phone was flat. As I had to go back for the seafood basket I have now added some pictures
