Garni Domus Mea

My son & I stayed here for one night while exploring Merano. The hotel is located on the 2nd floor (3rd floor American) of a building only a block and a half from the bridge across the river into downtown Merano, so the location is great for exploring. The rooms are simple and the amenities basic, but they are in line with the price, which is also basic, so the value is great. We drove and found parking for our car at a city lot only a half block away for well under 10 euros for the length of our stay. Breakfast was simple, but the bed comfortable and the room was clean and had plenty of space to move around. The host is very friendly and speaks good English. It is not luxury, but it is a great value and the perfect location for visiting Merano!

Merano is a beautiful city. Hotel Garni Domus Mea is a great place from which to explore this lovely town. For starters, Massimo (the owner) is a super nice guy. On our recent trip, when he saw that my son and I were heading out into the rain, he offered us a couple of umbrellas to borrow. Whenever we saw him in passing, he was kind and seemed genuinely interested in making sure we enjoyed our stay at the hotel and in Merano, in general. This was easy as the hotel is less than a city block from several key sites in town, such as the Terme Merano and Theaterbrucke. Also, we arrived in and departed from Merano via bus. The busparkplatz is basically directly across the street. So, the location simply couldn't have been more convenient.||||To sum it up, we would stay there again in a heartbeat.||||Grazie Massimo, grazie per tutto!

Interesting set up in a block of flats for hotel ! Very clean and welcoming. Massimo is very easy going. Breakfast includes hams, cold meats and cheeses, enough to make a lunch sandwich with :) Very quiet location, yet metres away from the fabulous spa and town centre.

The hotel is just over the bridge from central Merano and an easy walk from the railway station. Massimo and staff run a great little hotel. Air conditioned, good bed, and a tasty breakfast. I'd repeat a stay here for sure. Merano is a great town to visit.

The Garni Domus Mea is the perfect place to go to if you want to visit Meran and surroundings and do not need a luxury hotel! Quiet and comfortable rooms, a warm welcome by Massimo the owner who is always helping you with any need or question, private parking lot and a good breakfast! Only a two minute walk from the thermal centre and also center of Meran - you can leave your car and walk or use public transport! High chair for kids available, the only thing we needed to bring was our travel cot.

The rooms are immaculate. The staff could not be more helpful. They made us feel as if we were in our home! The breakfasts were delicious. It is perfectly located a block from central Merano with beautiful views of the Alps.

This Hotel earns more than just 2 stars. Top location excellent service a big quiet room overlooking the mountains and all facilities that i needed as a hiker. The breakfast was an unexpected variety of fresh bread rolls müsli cheese and ham platter as you wish as well as juices coffe and tea. Very comfy beds.

Stayed in Hotel Domus Mae to visit a friend in Merano and the local skiing resorts. Hotel is very clean and welcomming, Massimo is a perfect host. Breakfast is buffet style with fresh bread, meats and cheese. Very close to Merano centre and the river. Would certainly stay there again.
