The Garni Hotel Virgo is a nice spot located about a 10 minute walk from old-town Bratislava. They have convenient parking spaces available for a nightly fee. The reception staff was helpful in noting the main attractions to visit and as it was New Years Eve, she also gave us restaurant suggestions and told us about the events going on in town.
We had a room on the second/last floor of the building. It was cozy, though the slanted ceiling on the right side may make it a bit uncomfortable for some to have to bend over for passing to and from that bedside. There was a fridge, kettle, coffee, and tea available for us (which they refilled for us for the second morning), and a heating/AC wall unit.
The bathroom was fine and the shower is quite spacious, but there is no light in the shower and there was some mold in the corners. It would be nice to have a light to see better in the shower.
In general, the street of the hotel is very quiet and walkable. However, the sound insulation is not the best between the rooms as we could hear our neighbors talking, and you can also hear people walking in the corridor and entering their rooms.
Overall: the hotel has a great location, is in a quiet area, and has decent amenities. We had a nice stay and would be pleased to come back to the hotel in the future.
