Garni Hotel Virgo

Rooms clean with daily housekeeping, tea/instant coffee provided along with a kettle. Five minute walk to the old city, though this involves two large staircases. No elevator at the property. Check-in area located in another hotel a short distance away which was communicated beforehand and not an issue. No shower curtain in the bathroom which was odd, though probably inconvenienced housekeeping more than me. Queen beds are just two twin beds pushed together, mattresses beyond firm, better described as near-collapsed. Better beds and it would be five stars for the price.

Perfect location! Only a few minutes walking to the old town. Rooms are really clean and spacious. We got a room not only with a shower, but with a bath! Secure parking is paid (19 euros for one day) and should be booked in advance.

We really loved our stay here. Breakfast was outstanding and they really looked after my dietary needs (gluten free and vegetarian). Delicious coffee! We liked our room on the second floor with a little balcony and table from which to enjoy the evening sun and appreciate the beautiful garden. The staff were excellent: kind and friendly, especially the staff at breakfast. Wow - so lovely. Thank you ☺️ Good strong shower in the bathroom and the rooms were spacious and clean. Fantastic location! Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Recently stayed here for 1 night, the room was ready at 1300 (check in was scheduled 1400), the room was very sapcious and had a fridge, microwave, kettle etc so was perfect. Our room was big enough for the 2 of us and had a large sofa, bed was very comfortable. Bathroom facilities were also good. Will return if in Bratislava

My stay at this hotel was a bit rough. I ended up with nine spider bites from just 2 nights at the hotel, and there's no elevator or help with carrying bags up the stairs. The walls are thin and you can easily be awoken from your neighbor’s conversations.

Very good location. Fast enough wifi. Safe neighbourhood. Clean rooms. Good bathrooms with comfortable showers. Loved netflix included in room. Shame there was no lounge bar, coffee machine or drinks&snacks wending machine.

The hotel doesn't have a lift, the reception is in another building, I requested for housekeeping but not even the beds were made when we came back in the evening. Though the room was beautiful, I had a disappointing experience.

The room was clean and nice. There is a bathtub, I loved that. Towels and toiletries were prepared (I was surprised since it is not an expensive hotel at all). There are a lot of space, fridge, the street is quiet and the location is excellent - about 5 minutes walk to the center. We parked our car in the garage, everything worked smoothly. The check-in was fast, despite of the description we did not have to pay deposit. The receptionist girl also called me later in the afternoon with the following: Sorry she did not notice on my ID card that I have a birthday today and she just wanted to wish me Happy Birthday - how amazing is this? :) - it was on 22 October, huge cheers for her. I would definetely recommend it to anyone who goes to Bratislava.
