This Italian restaurant offers an authentic and cozy dining experience. The pasta is freshly made, the sauces are rich and flavorful, and the service is warm and attentive. With its charming ambiance and delicious menu, it’s a perfect spot for a romantic dinner or a relaxing meal with friends. I will be back for more.

We ordered Garozzo's for dinner delivery. Overall the food was good and we would order from here again. The manicotti was very good and I enjoyed the red cream sauce but the overall dish amount was smaller than I would have liked. Another in my party ordered a dish that was supposed to come with large beef tips as pictured in the online menu, however, in reality the dish had small shreds of beef. This was a little disappointing and was less satisfying. The spaghetti and meat sauce was very good. The sauce was seasoned to be slightly sweet and slightly spicy as well. We would definitely order it again. Some restaurants seem to decrease meal size when prepared for to-go containers. This did not seem to be the case. Overall, the meal sizes were ample other than the manicotti, which appeared to be as pictured if ordered for a sit down in the establishment as well.

We don't have Italian in our hometown, so we try not to pass up an opportunity to eat it when we travel. The lighting provided a romantic atmosphere for my husband and I after we spent a day traveling. The servers were so kind and helpful, and the food was INCREDIBLE! All of the food is great; you can't go wrong with this place!

Google
We accidentally ate here not knowing it was an historical gem of Kansas City. We just happened to type in Italian food on Google and went there for lunch. We are so glad we did! It was so good that when my husband was in town visiting my daughter they tried it again. And then when we went to Kansas City with our college friends, it was on our list to eat at as well. I'm not sure if this place is family owned, but it definitely feels like it. It also feels like it's been here for decades, which I'm sure it has. It seems very authentic Italian, although I'm not Italian so I cannot speak to its authenticity. But I can speak to how delicious it is! Every time we come we order the artichoke appetizer. We have had several items on the menu and have never been disappointed. Highly recommend!

Google
This is the best true Italian we’ve had in Kansas City. We had Michelle as our server and honestly she was amazing. She was patient and attentive. The wine list was great and the menu had actual depth. The atmosphere and vibe was hints of past mob bosses in a back room meets today’s families. We will be returning and trying even more of the menu, and requesting Michelle.

Google
The food was incredible. The stuffed artichoke is my favorite thing they serve. Portions are absolutely huge! There's such a great selection. It would be so hard to try everything, but I want to! It is a great place, with a great atmosphere and great people. I don't have many complaints at all, but if I did, it's that it's so dark it's fairly hard to read the menu. Everything else is spot on. Must try KC restaurant.

Google
Garozzo’s Downtown is Italy in Kansas City. The atmosphere is of a very classy Italian style, with an amazing family and guest photo collection along the walls of this Italian experience. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. The kind of service we all love to experience. The food is absolutely amazing, and the wine list very impressive. You will find wine of numerous price levels, which is another top reason to have dinner at the restaurant. This is a top recommendation and easy 5.0.

Google
The service was exceptional. We arrived early for a reservation, but they seated us right away (on a Fri night no less) and the server was prompt, and food came out extremely fast. My wife's dish was definitely more enjoyable than my chicken, and I'm really glad it came with a pasta as well. It was a good time, if we're ever back in KC, we would definitely come back

Yelp
Garozzo's is one of my favorite restaurants ever!!! At our most recent visit, my boyfriend and I had lunch here on Valentine's day. Each time we've made a reservation, so we get seated timely. The service is always impeccable. Each server is so kind, helpful, and attentive--they all have the best energy! In addition to the great service, the ambiance in here is so lovely and comfy. It feels authentic and gives a few nods to its history. The music is just the right volume, lights are just bright enough, and everything is always clean. The food y'all.....is SO good. I'm a big pasta alla vodka fan, and I can confirm that their Vodka Rigatoni is delicious. My new favorite though, and what I ordered this last time, is the Rigatoni Canzoneri, which is 100/10!! My boyfriend loves the Cavatelli and the Canzoneri as well. I also have to mention how good their martinis are--the Marilyn and Valentino are amazing--and how impressive the wine selection is. Long story short, if you're looking for authentic, delicious Italian food and yummy cocktails or wine, Garozzo's is the place. Parking note: There is a lot of street parking in the vicinity, which can be difficult to find if it's busy. However, they do have a parking lot on the corner! You just have to keep an eye out because the sign is small.

Yelp
Visiting from out of state for the third year in a row, and for the third year in a row, had lunch at Garozzo's. The food is always fantastic because of its authenticity. We just love the old school vibes and ambience. Our server, Caleb, was exceptional. Can't wait to Come back again next year. I recommend the Vodka rigatoni, Hill special with meatballs, or the chicken Vincenzo.

Yelp
Very loud because it is a small place but so worth it for the food Great service. Great wine. Get there early

Yelp
I was visiting family in the Kansas City area and I really wanted to try this place. I have family in the St. Louis area (The Hill) so I have high expectations on Italian food. The restaurant has parking in the neighborhood and a parking lot across the street. We went for lunch, so parking was easy but not sure around dinner time. When you walk in you immediately see pictures of the owner and celebrities. The place is smaller than I thought but cozy- its fairly dark in there. We decided to start with the Mozzarella Fritti, which essentially is a large mozzarella stick. This was I think of my favorite things! It was flavorful! For an entree I ordered the Chicken Spiedini - Garozzo style. I also ordered their caesar salad. I love Chicken Spiedini so I wanted to try their option. I do like how they had several versions! The one I got comes with garlic, lemon, herbs and a side of penne pasta with red sauce. I also asked for a side of alfredo sauce because I wanted to try it. My chicken was good but some areas of the were overcooked so it made it chewy and tough, which was a bummer. The flavor was good. The side of pasta was flavorful- the red sauce is a bit sweet, which I don't mind! The alfredo sauce was really good- creamy! I think the Italian Restaurants in St. Louis on the Hill are better, but I would come back here! Overall experience 3.5/5

Yelp
You definitely have to have a reservation for dinner. Also street parking only which is interesting. They have a very small seating area and if you walk in for dinner, you are going to wait. The food and service was excellent. Hearty true Italian dishes. I haven't had Spumoni in ages. Worth the time.

Yelp
Visited here for the first time after a Chiefs game with some friends (who are regulars). We were seated righted away, and greeted by a server promptly. We sat in the bar area at a table, and though it was on the smaller side, I have to say it was very clean and nice and welcoming. Like you could just sit there comfortably, and have a nice Italian meal. I unfortunately did not take as many pictures as I normally do. The appetizer we had was a very popular one there, and it was the Sicilian Garlic Dip with Bread....and OMG....delicious! I had the Capelli D'Angello. Just a nice, light pasta dish that was also delicious. They give you generous portions and I definitely could not eat it all. So I unfortunately did not get dessert. But I will next time I go back!

Yelp
Not once have I been disappointed with Garozzo's! Whether it's dining in or catering, they knock it out of the park every time. We had a large group of about 15 people & service was on point. Jessica was sure everyone had a full drink & was so well versed on the menu! She didn't miss a beat. Highly recommend the artichoke for an appetizer. The seafood ravioli is absolutely delicious, as well as the lobster spiedini. You can't go wrong with finishing the meal off with a dessert drink either!

Yelp
Went to celebrate with my husband for his birthday and loved everything from the reservation to the food. The place was super cozy and clean. There wasn't a spot left open on a Tuesday evening and we couldn't have been more pleased. Love the flavor of the fresh Italian food. Go get ya some!

Yelp
My favorite KC restaurant. Go here often. Always have had great food and service! Staff is super friendly and helpful.

Yelp
My brother, brother-in-law, and I wanted to experience Garozzo's for a special reason and it was highly recommended by friends who were in the area before. We were not disappointed in the least. We came for lunch and we're the first ones in the restaurant at opening, but it filled up quickly. There's framed pictures of all the "famous" people who've eaten here, some family photos of the owners and his four daughters, and of course Frank and Dean. All the staff that interacted with us were very friendly. I had two Lemoncellotini which was lemoncello with vodka. My family wanted some beer but it turned out their draft system was out of order so they had to do bottles. A 17% Tank 7 and a Italian Moretti hit the spot. Our appetizer choices were oil and garlic (schmutz as my brother-in-law says), the Sicilian stuffed artichoke (so good), a tomato "Lombardo" salad, and some Ceasar salads. Garozzo's is famous for inventing the "spiedini" which came in chicken, beef, or seafood. We went with two chicken and one beef. Outstanding. Lightly fried rolled meat with some seasoning and bread crumbs in a lemon sauce. You can choose any side pasta off the menu to go with it. I had the vodka blush sauce, one had the marinara. Both were excellent. We ended with some limoncello cake, and the Cafe Garozzo's which was a liquor coffee. Also had cannolis. Unfortunately, the desserts are not made in-house but they were delicious. Garozzo's also has a full bar and wine available including their own label Chianti which is a dry red. Today, wine was 1/2 price for takeout, and I bought two bottles for $22 each. I believe that they have the wine specials all the time. We had a great meal and time at Garozzo's, and would absolutely come back. We were sorry to have missed meeting the owner. About $212 not including tip, and they have built in their system a way to split everything how you want to pay. So, our three people each got a bill for 1/3 price of everything we ordered. First time for me seeing this!

Yelp
This place came highly recommended by a local that my husband knows. I feel like it was incredible. We started with the bread and garlic dip which were great. I especially loved tie garlic olive oil dip. We also tried the calamari Friti. It was paired with two dips. My husband did the seafood ravioli as his main course. I had the Santa Teresa salad. My daughters had the fettuccine Alfredo. Everything was superb. Sadly, the only picture I took was of the wine bottle. For those curious, the atmosphere is perfect for a date. They do have children's menus so kids are welcome. The restaurant was clean. They had a phenomenal drink menu, including a long list of wines. We will definitely be back. I loved the food, the ambience, and service was quick.

Yelp
We had a larger group reservation so were seated in a different area than the restaurant dining room (we ended up in an office area where security camera screens were located) so the vibes were different than what we expected but glad they were able to accommodate a large party. The bread kept coming, my entree was delicious and the portions were big (yay leftovers)!

Yelp
We were so pleased to be seated here upon walking in with no reservations on a Wednesday night. The place was very full, but only a few tables open, but they made room for us and we were delighted. Our waiter was named Chris and he took excellent care of us. You may want to ask for him as he was efficient, competent and delightful. The bread they delivered to the table was quite tasty, and the butter was not too cold to spread which I very much appreciate. So many places bring you rock hard butter. I will never understand why. My nephew and I both had the Heaven and Hell, which combines both the spicy Chicken Spiedini, and the one with Alfredo sauce. It was delightful! A little heavy on the garlic for me though. My wife ordered the Chicken Vincenzo which she loved! Our niece had the manicotti which she also adored. We all decided that we should at least share entrées next time because they are enormous. My wife will get three meals out of hers and I will get two out of mine. Big props to the house salad here as it is just fantastic! We will most certainly be back to Garozzo's!!!

Yelp
If you want the old school, mom and pop feel of a real, authentic Italian joint, THIS IS IT. Go early and sit at the 6 seat bar and grab a dirty martini while you wait for your table. OR just sit at the bar and eat and drink! It's always the best time especially when Katie is bartending. It's a loud and fun Italian atmosphere. Large dinner portions and an extensive wine list. The house salad is delicious as well as any of their chicken spedinis. Make sure you get the brick of cheese as an appetizer!

Yelp
I love all local KC establishments that bring our culture to life and Garozzo's definitely does this down in the historic River Market Italian district of KC. The spot itself is nice and dark and feels very authentic, especially being down in the midst of such a lovely neighborhood. That said, I can't say, after my many visits, that this is my favorite Italian food in the city. It's very very heavy, takes quite a while to come out and the last time I visited my dish was over seasoned. It was also slightly confusing that to go to the dining area upstairs, we had to walk outside and around the building. I suppose there's something charming about that, but I could see why it would surprise some, especially if there are any disability restrictions with the stairs. Staff is always very kind but I did witness one of the staff getting frustrated with their boss and that was curious. I want to be clear, I have nothing against Garozzo's and have had nice experiences! Will go back. I just think the food/pasta could potentially use a little refresh.
google avatar

Libby G.

Yelp
Get the stuffed artichoke Sicilian style and Sicilian garlic dip! It is the best way to start your meal! Got bistecca canzoneri, the pasta was cold but the spicy red sauce was delicious. The steak was very tender and paired nicely with the sauce. This is the original restaurant and felt like you were at family Sunday night dinner at your grandma's house. The inside was welcoming and felt homey. Can't wait to go back again and try something new!

Yelp
We had a great time! I was immediately struck by the character of Garozzo's, observing the many photos on the walls displaying pride over their abundant notable visitors over the years. Definitely enjoyed the cozy vibes of an Italian family style atmosphere, aided by the delightful sounds of Sinatra songs, always a plus to me. We really enjoyed the pesto ravioli! We split it between the two of us and it was a good sized portion. And our server was fantastic as well! Good experience here.

Yelp
Location: They have 2 locations Overland, park, and downtown. This review is about downtown location. Ambiance: Beautiful place. Dimmed lights perfect for a date. Food: It is pretty good. Artichoke is a must. Linguini was a little too moisty but good. Portions are big They got Sundays specials when wine bottles are 50% off. Service: pretty good. Yelp factor: Best Italian place to go to on Sundays to enjoy a good pinot grigio and the star of the restaurant, the Artichoke

Yelp
Great appetizers, food, drinks and service! Call early for a reservation! We will definitely be back.

Yelp
Chicken Vincent was outstanding. A white sauce over the chicken covered in mushrooms. Came with a side of pasta that was seasoned perfectly. Warm bread and butter complimentary with order. Also got a side salad which was wonderful and far beyond lettuce. Service was great. It's lit mostly by candles to create a romantic atmosphere. Really nice place.

Yelp
A must when in the city! The first time we visited we drove from Des Moines because of how much this place was recommended to us. Worth the 3 hour drive for certain. The staff is incredible and accommodating. The food exceeded our expectations. We had the mozzarella fritti, delicious! The pasta was fresh and tasted amazing. The ambiance of the restaurant is quite delicate while the decor offered a great deal of personality.

Leslie C.

Yelp
Last night our group was treated to an amazing experience! We were invited to dine in the owners private room, it was so interesting to see all the photos through out the restaurant and in the private dining room. It spoke of stories of the lives that created this amazing atmosphere and ambiance! The service was beyond impeccable and the food was the most authentic Italian I have ever had! A must try when in Kansas City!
google avatar

Michelle M.

Yelp
This place wasn't quite what we expected but it was delicious and the service was good. It was quite busy when we went but we had a reservation so we didn't wait long to be seated. It wasn't as elegant as I expected but it was clean with an old school vibe. We ordered the artichoke as an appetizer, but would have preferred it not have the breadcrumbs--they were just buttery clumps of mush that didn't bring anything to the party. However, you can easily shake them off and just eat the artichoke which was delicious by itself. Our entrees were mouth watering and the portions are very large.
google avatar

Larry L.

Yelp
I have been to Garozzo's quite a few times in the past but tonight we went there for my buddy's 35th birthday. Let me start by saying that Michelle did a fantastic job- she worked hard but made it look effortless. She is very personable and is sharp and witty- will definitely ask for her again! What was different tonight was that I got the lobster spedini. I typically get the chicken spedini but tonight was a first with the lobster and let me tell you- it is amazing!! This place never disappoints but Michelle and the lobster spedini took it over the top tonight! Great job Garozzos!
google avatar

Len G.

Yelp
Being from the northeast I was happily surprised seeing the restaurant situated right in the middle of a neighborhood! The menu offers just the right amount of options, the ambiance was perfect for a quaint Italian restaurant feel, and the service was second to none. Food temperature was spot on, flavor profiles were great, and portion size was as expected.
google avatar

Neyan B.

Yelp
The food was SO good. We tried a couple of different appetizers and for main dish we tried 2 of the chicken spedini's and another seafood pasta. I love the ambience and feeling of this place. A little pricy but worth it. It does get very loud in there and the tables are very close to each other but worth it for the food.
google avatar

Dennis P.

Yelp
Didn't know I needed a reservation to get something to eat here. We were asked if we would sit in the enclosed patio area. No , no thanks . I know a place that's more accommodating and don't look down their nose because of the way we were dressed. So sorry we didn't fit in with your "crowd". Never darken your door step again if I can help it.

Yelp
I visited Garozzo's while on a trip to OKC. It came highly recommended by a colleague and it was clear that it was a popular place among the locals. I was starving by dinner so I got the calamari, stuffed artichoke, and chicken Spiedini georgio. The calamari was tasty. The stuffed artichoke was underwhelming but I must admit, this was my first time being served artichoke that wasn't just the heart. As you can imagine, I was quite surprised when eating the inedible leaves. No fault of the restaurant just my own ignorance. However, I say all that to say I found eating it very difficult and annoying since the leaves were stuffed. The serving sizes are huge. There was an immense amount of chicken and pasta. I only ate one mound of chicken before I called it quits. I would have preferred more tomato and a bit more flavor. One thing I'd like to note is that when arriving I went to the restroom which was down a narrow hallway. There is a door adjacent to the restroom which was blocked by a number of stacked chairs. This made it difficult to enter the bathroom. As I was entering a woman in a wheelchair needed to enter and she couldn't due to the blockage. I would challenge them to think about the accessibility of their restaurant and dining areas for the future. I had to lift the chairs myself to make room. Luckily a server saw me and realized it needed to be moved. They were able to move the chairs completely out of the way. All in all, I'd say you get a great bang for your buck. This is authentic Italian food that I think many do and will appreciate. If I'm ever in OKC, I'd come back but I'd probably order something different.
google avatar

Marietta M.

Yelp
Started with Old Fashions at the bar - they were really good! We were part of a larger party, so it took a bit to get seated, but when we did, service was good. I started with the stuffed artichoke, which was big enough to share with others at my section of the table. It was good; would order that again. I had Chicken Vincenzo for my main course. Serving size was large. Thoroughly enjoyed what I could, and took the rest home with me. The restaurant atmosphere is dark and it is a bit noisy, but if you don't mind that, this is your place for some really good drinks and pasta.
google avatar

Nancy C.

Yelp
Absolutely the best Italian dinner I've had in a long time. The restaurant is a small place located at the end of a residential street, on street and parking lot parking available. Inside is a dark, small Italian restaurant with celebrity pictures in the walls. We started with toasted cheese ravioli, Vodka Rigatoni & Spiedini di Pollo, Samantha all excellent and plentiful
google avatar

Kelley M.

Yelp
Went for my Birthday. We made reservations and were seated right away. The service was the best. I had a Negroni from the bar. It was good but it is a drink you sip not chug. The loaded artichoke was so good. We barely had room for the main course. The chicken dishes were so perfectly balanced. We ordered dessert and coffee. For my birthday, they also gave me a bowl of gelato. Perfect evening.
google avatar

Yelp
Friends raved about this place, and they were right! If you have not been here, you need to get here as fast as you can. The food is absolutely top-notch. I had the chicken spiedini Garozzo, which a simple spiedini in an olive oil, garlic and lemon sauce. Fantastic! My wife had the chicken carbonara, loaded with prosciutto, artichoke hearts and spinach in a delicious carbonara. Even better! Our friends had lasagna ("maybe the best I have ever had") and the gnocchi in vodka sauce ("great!"). The portions are generous and all the main course plates were superb. I was pretty disappointed in the "heaven and hell" appetizer, which is a pesto ravioli in gorgonzola (pretty good) paired with a shrimp in a "diablo" sauce (lacking flavor and spice, and served at a very unappetizing temperature). But that was on small miss. Everything else, including the bread, easily tipped the scales to 5 stars. The neighborhood lets you know this place has been here a long time! The pictures on the wall let you know many of KC's recognizable faces darken the doors. The service and atmosphere let you know that they have been at this a long time, and they know how to welcome guests. This is now on my "must-stop" list in KC (which might be getting too long!)

Yelp
I followed Trip Advisor to Garozzo's and was extremely impressed! I enjoyed a salad, meatball sandwich and really good coffee. I sat at the bar and watched football and joked around with the bartender. Thanks for a great lunch! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
google avatar

Betty C.

Yelp
This place always seems packed! Had to make reservations here two days in advanced for a party of 7. Although it's also near Christmas lol. Anyways the food was so great. We got the toasted ravioli appetizer and that was amazing. Next, I got a Caesar salad which was great. I did get to try the house salad and I was surprised how much I liked that also. Finally, the wedge salad is crazy looking haha and you have to cut your own salad!! Lol. Anyways then we split two dishes between three people. And we still had left overs! Haha the Samantha was definitely the best dish. The Alfredo sauce is to die for!! We also got like the beef pasta.. it was good but not as good as the Samantha. Really enjoyed the place though!

Jaime G.

Yelp
I never would have guessed that I would have found THE BEST Italian Restaurant I've ever eaten at in my entire life in Kansas City Mo! The service was world class, the atmosphere was exquisite, the food exceeded my expectations! Garozzo's is a MUST in Kansas City...forget about the BBQ!
google avatar

Rachel P.

Yelp
We had a great happy hour at the bar and then a delicious meal. The cocktails were excellent and the bartenders were very friendly. Loved the Limoncello and Oceans 11. For dinner, we split a couple entrees - I would get the tortellini Gina once a week! .. yum .. and the chicken spedini is always incredible. Start with a house salad so you can make lunch with the leftovers. Make a reservation or spend your wait looking at all the celebrity photos in the lobby!
google avatar

Jeff S.

Yelp
I bought a salad and meatball appetizer that was excellent. Dinner came very quickly and arrived before finishing my 2nd glass of Pinot Grigio. Packaged perfectly to not spill and kept separate. Always great service, food and atmosphere.
google avatar

Liz G.

Yelp
This was my first time ever trying out Garozzo's and the food was absolutely amazing! Our server was so sweet and attentive, and recommended this dish which was sooo yummy! I really liked the dim atmosphere, with low light, it was super cozy! If you are going to celebrate there I will give you a notice about the cake fee they charge. We weren't made aware of it until the bill came, the server was very polite about it but i just wish we would have been made aware during reservations.

Yelp
We came to Kansas City for a conference from Miami, FL. When we went to eat last night at a local establishment, the man next to me recommended that we eat at Garozzo's. He stated that if we wanted home cooked Italian cuisine to check out Garozzo's. We made reservations and were greeted like family when we arrived. The Service, Ambiance and Food were phenomenal. The serve was very professional and provided exceptional customer service. The food quality was fresh and the presentation was exquisite. This Italian food was the best that I have ever eaten. After the Appetizer and main course, we order dessert and selectedthe Tiramisu and it was absolutely the best I have eaten. I highly recommend this home town restaurant as it is awesome. :-).....

Yelp
Excellent ambience . Had the Samantha Spiedini fettuccine. It was excellent. ordered wine. The server got it wrong had to verify with the server, but the service overall was excellent.

Yelp
We've been going to Garozzo's for a long time (probably a decade or two!) It's a Kansas City favorite and always at the top of our list when we have out of town guests who want a delicious dinner out. During our last visit to the downtown location, we had Caleb as a our server. He was amazing and did wonderful with our 2.5 year old daughter. It was her first Garozzo's experience and she gave the kid's spaghetti a 10/10! The service is always top notch, great wine and spirits selection and you can't say no to the tiramisu! Get the chicken vincenzo, you won't be disappointed!

Yelp
The kids took me for Mother's Day brunch. It was WONDERFUL. The servers were professional and dedicated. The food was amassed and delightful. The eggs Benedict were sooo good, and the hollandaise was heavenly. We all had bottomless mimosas. Just a lovely way to spend the day with family. It should be a tradition!! Don't forget to make a reservation -- it's a must!!

Yelp
Authentic! Delicious Italian food! I've been craving for Italian and this place absolutely hit the craving spot. The garlic dip the appetizer section is a must try with their home baked bread. I can eat a gallon of that. For main entree, I had the chicken Vincenzo. I loved the chicken, but I felt like sauce was very sweet. However, the bland olive pasta compliments the sweet creamy sauce. Whatever you decide to get on the menu, it will not disappoint. Great food. Big portion. Excellent service. Highly recommend.

Yelp
I ate at Garozzo's for Thanksgiving a few years ago. So, I decided to order take out Turkey Dinner. To my surprise the Turkey was processed Turkey. I didn't snap any pictures, wish I did. But imagine a loaf pan, the Turkey was half dark, half white size of a loaf pan. Never Again! $71 dollars in the trash.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I had just gotten into town for a short and sweet getaway and this restaurant was close to where we were staying. It was tucked away without being unnoticeable. After settling into our space for the night we headed out for an early dinner before making our way to the Improv comedy club. Garozzo's is the perfect restaurant for an intimate date night, family dinner, and from the looks of it, a great place to cater from! We walked in and the ambiance was dim and cozy. We were seated quickly and each employee we interacted with were friendly and professional. Our waitress was attentive and friendly as well. Dillon ordered the chicken carbonara and I decided on the eggplant parmigiano. My first bite was a beautiful warmth of flavor from the sauce alone. It was a delicious generous portion that ended up being two meals for me! The chicken carbonara was the best I had ever had. I've always been leery of this dish at other restaurants because I had a negative experience with it before, but we were both pleasantly impressed! We loved both of our dishes and would love to come back here the next time we are in Kansas City. We finished up our lovely dinner with tiramisu, limoncello cake, and a scoop of spumoni to share. It was the perfect meal to have before we laughed our heads off at the comedy show. If you happen to be in this part of KC I highly recommend enjoying a wonderful Italian meal here.

Yelp
If I could give Garozzo's Downtown six stars, I would--one for each pound I gained from their delicious pasta! From the moment I walked in, I felt like I had been adopted by an Italian family that loves to feed you until you need to be rolled out the door. The garlic bread alone was worth the trip, and I'm pretty sure their secret ingredient is magic. I had the Chicken Spiedini, which was so good it made me question every life choice that led me to not eating here sooner. My only regret is that I didn't wear stretchier pants. Bravo, Garozzo's, bravo! I'll be back, with a bigger appetite and maybe a wheelbarrow for the ride home.

Yelp
The restaurant gave St. Louis Hill vibes. The food was all amazing. The service was excellent. The owner came around to all tables. Half portions were available upon request.

Yelp
Wonderful family owned restaurant in Columbus Park area. The ambiance was cozy and the service attentive. I have heard so many great things about this restaurant that I was excited to try it out. I ordered a Lombardo salad and the Penne Victoria. The tomatoes, which are the majority ingredient in a Lombardo salad, were firm and ripe. The Penne Victoria was outstanding. The tomato cream sauce had just a touch of heat, and it clung to the pasta with every bite. I highly recommend you try Garozzo's. Due to the small intimate atmosphere, reservations are encouraged.
