Booked a table by the window with a view of the ocean. Prawn curry served with rice and a sweet relish - not spicy and slightly sweet. Bean soup was light. Black Forest cake for dessert was light and a little odd with the strawberry on top as it’s usually a cherries. Cake was light and not too sweet but could have done with some kirsch. Coffee was great. Also got some cookies to go and they were all different in taste and extremely tasty and well made. Service was outstanding.

Wow. We were super impressed. A beautiful spot for breakfast. My wife and I shared two different meals, and the chef was generous enough to split and share the meal in the kitchen. Generous portions, tasty and well presented. This cafe gets all my credos!

Very rude staff. When we came to the counter to order and then we asked if we could sit, they were acting very rude saying that we can't do that. Note that a lot of tables were free. The desserts were bad: the lemon meringue cake had too much sugar and no lemon taste and the merengue was very bad and solid. Probably because they wanted to make their desserts look good, but the taste was compromised. I'll not be returning there again

Carlos was a wonderful waiter. He was knowledge and helpful. The food was wonderful. The tuna salad and the salgados were worth it. The desserts / pastries were delicious. Great place.

Strolled to this wonderful restaurant, walking the promenade from Cascais. Delicious tuna pâté to start, rice with grouper and shrimp for dinner was fresh and very good but a little lite on seasonings. Fantastic desserts, great service and very pretty locale.

This bakery/brunch/restaurant was the highlight of my work trip nearby! Came back for three morning’s breakfasts and had the best time with Lucy and Antonio who served me with a great smile and kindness. I had the best French toast in a long time and super good Pastel de Nata and Pao de Deus along with a great cappuccino! Highly recommend!!

I have to adjust the ratings. We came back the next day and everything just fell in place. Great service by Carlos and his two lady collegues, great food and fine atmosphere! Garrett is a classic pastellaria with a restaurant on the side. It is very populair by mostly locals and some tourists for breakfast, lunch or just a coffee with some tradional pastry or (really good) cookies. We had some salteados and a glass of wine. The meat croquette was good, the chicken samoesas and rissóis de camarão even better. But what really stood out was the pastèis de bacalhau. Some cookies and bola bolacha for later to take with us to have something nice next to a nice glass of port later in the evening.

Totally disorganized. It's only worth it for the "bolo rainha" during the holidays, and some pastries. Otherwise, the service is chaotic, as typically they don't remember reservations, and if you go to pick up an order, prepare to wait. Unless it's Christmas Eve, rather than ordering, just go and pick up there. Also, no one takes responsibility for issues and they overload some of the staff. As for dining in, it used to be much better. Our food was served cold and it is over priced for what it is.
