Incredible. Went here for breakfast on holiday and it was amazing. The atmosphere was brilliant and peaceful, despite the amount of people there. I ordered French toast with banana and it was amazing. I also had their hot chocolate with salted caramel which was just so smooth and rich. Staff were lovely and quick considering the size of the restaurant and everything came within a more than reasonable time.

Great coffee time with excelent desserts. Pavlova and Crem Brûlée was perfect. If you don’t know what to choose you can always ask a nice lady there she is absolutely gorgeous. Whatever you will ask is better than you know from the past 😂. But it’s true. Everything is so delicious 😋. Maby except the burger ….

If one is sufficiently fortunate to leave the crowds on the paredao and still have a few euros to spend after frequenting the Casino and golf courses, Garrett in Estoril is a wonderful place to experience the “Old Portugal.” Many others have described their excellent coffee and cakes, but few people seem to be aware that they also (on site), hand-make decorated cookies in many different shapes; and, if one orders ahead, you may have as many dinosaurs, horses, butterflies or other forms from their zoologico to take with you in the colours of your choice. Thanks to Bruno, we celebrated Canada Day in Saskatoon, with lovely little bees!

Very classy restaurant for casual dining in 2 main indoor rooms and a semi enclosed patio . Extensive menu. They also have a separate cake/pastry and coffee section. All looks so delicious. Pictured is the avocado toast with bacon and egg (€9.50). This restaurant has been established generations ago and appears to have lots of regular customers. We sure would be if we lived here.

Booked a table by the window with a view of the ocean. Prawn curry served with rice and a sweet relish - not spicy and slightly sweet. Bean soup was light. Black Forest cake for dessert was light and a little odd with the strawberry on top as it’s usually a cherries. Cake was light and not too sweet but could have done with some kirsch. Coffee was great. Also got some cookies to go and they were all different in taste and extremely tasty and well made. Service was outstanding.

Great selection of cakes/pastries. Food menu is comprehensive too. This was a return visit, and Carlos who served us both this year and last was friendly and made a big effort to speak English with us. Will definitely return when we’re back next.

Delicious birthday cake by Bruno with a summer vibe. I just gave a couple of picture as inspiration, and a small masterpiece came out. Fantastico bolo de aniversario com detalhes e sabor. Obrigada Bruno!

Yelp
We stayed in Estoril during World Youth Day 2023. Garrett's was walkable from our hotel so we ate here every morning. The wait staff is incredibly friendly and remembered us by the 2nd time we visited. We enjoyed sitting down to eat but also took advantage of their Pastelaria where we would grab pastries and coffee to go for our activities. We had the eggs Benedict and the Benedict Florentine. We found the Florentine fresher with the salmon. The yogurt bowl was yummy and filling. The English breakfast is a classic. The beyond vegan burger was delicious. The French toast was the star of the table. It has a crisp outer shell but soft and moist middle. Delicious!

Yelp
Appauling experience A friend from Australia booked a table for dinner for me ( long term resident of Portugal) & a local from Estoril. My Australia friend chose this restaurant as he had dined her alone & recommended the lamb chops which he enjoyed previously. The menu had pictures & the lamb was accompanied by mint sauce, salad & french fries . When it arrived it was a plate of crisps with 2x 3cm + 1x 2cm small pieces of Lamb , that was it . I challenged the staff so after 3 min the mint sauce arrived ,followed by the salad 5 min & finally the "1" bowl of French fries 10 min later . The waiter simply said the chef was new . The same member of staff had served my friend a few days earlier the Lamb "chops" with all the correct accompaniments. TOTAL LACK OF CARE & INTEREST SHOWN . The experience cost over €100+ TOTAL RIP OFF My Australian friend was upset by the experience & my Portuguese friend so ashamed he insisted on paying the bill . He simply said the restaurant didn't reflect Portuguese Hospitality VALUES . I TOTALLY AGREE

Yelp
Garrett is a Cafe that doubles as a restaurant - specifically its divided into two areas the cafe area and the restaurant area. Garrett has a monopoly in that area as its the only pastry shop in the vicinity and they take full advantage of this by having higher prices than the norm. The cafe side is informal and inviting and the features finger foods that are simple and tasty and a whole array of pastries and cookies (that can be taken to go). The restaurant on the other hand is stuffy, overpriced with slow service and below average food. I can recommend the patio/cafe area but the restaurant not so much.

Yelp
The best food and best staff you'll find in a Lisbon area bakery. There's a counter where you can eat standing of you just want to snarf some pastry, and a sit-down restaurant on the other side of the building. Go here and eat it all up!
