Garrett Popcorn Shops

Saw the store during our return to NYC. Bought a jumbo bag of the Garrett mix and watched the employee put alternating layers of cheese and caramel crisp in the bag then mix them (freshly mixed compared to the prepackaged ones at another stand.) It was then placed in a lined paper bag, sealed to keep the popcorn fresh til we got home, only a 2 1/2 hr flight. Also got the pecan crisp, pricier @$7.99 for small. That was enough for us- was pretty sweet, although I liked the pecans.

If you have never had Chicago popcorn from Garretts I highly recommend it. Definitely get the Chicago mix. It is a perfect mix of caramel and cheese. These two popcorn flavors together are just amazing. This is a smaller location at the airport, if you get a chance to go into the city, they have the full location there.

The caramel popcorn still taste burnt! I knew exactly it was Garrett's and not the other brand I get. Friend shipped me a container of this. Yuck!! Are you not tasting your own popcorn??? Now I gotta go bake some cookies....

Walked in while still open (7/26/25 7:45pm). Said they were out of popcorn and wouldn’t make more. Turned me away along w the four other customers waiting behind me. Wonder if management knows about that. Hmmm

Wanted to have Garrett again before leaving Chicago lol 💀 if you somehow missed it during your stay at Chicago, you can just try it at the airport. It’s the same experience !
