One more review about this incredible grand place is not going to make any difference to how amazing it is. It is huge is an understatement. It's majestic and surreal. Take a coffee and relax over there enjoying the details, craft and grandness of this statue and be amazed. There are 5-6 big statues (all amazing) and a few smaller ones in several acres of this area, and Garuda Visnu is the centrepiece. The place is very well organised and clean - from parking to ticketing to walk up n down through the forest. Beautiful. Large souvenir shop with coffee, ice-cream and snack shops. They also do events inside the campus which some might find interesting. I wish they would allow visitors to take a walk around the statue base to be able to view it from all the angles. The only angle available is from the front.

This place is way overpriced and underwhelming 🙄 the biggest attraction is a tower statue that you can see from the airport. It's impressive, but it's really the only thing to see here. The tickets were too expensive for what they have to offer and the tour of the statue is quite disappointing, especially for the price. I recommend visiting here, but NOT paying for tickets for admission. Just see what you can see and go on to the other sites that are much more impressive for half the price or less. This was one of the least impressive places we visited.

The place is very nice and well-maintained, and it's very big. However, if you walk around, you'll get tired very quickly. You need 3-4 hours to explore it properly, which you can't do on foot. But some things weren't very clear. They only offered 2-3 sweet flavored drinks, which they were charging a lot for. Their cultural dance show was also very good. Overall, the experience was very good.

The statue is the heart of the GWK Cultural Park, which offers more than just the views. Visitors can get close to the base of the statue, experience its true scale, and take iconic photographs. There are several accessible levels available to view the scenery from above. The view from the area surrounding the statue, visitors can enjoy 360 degree views that include I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport, Kuta's coastline, and the surrounding hills. They have many entertain. Areas like the Lotus Pond serve as venues for major events and art performances, especially the Kecak Dance, which is held routinely at sunset. So, GWK statue is a must visit destination. It offers a unique blend of cultural value, rich Hindu mythology, and architectural technological advancement. The experience provides awe at the beauty of the art and the extraordinary scale of the project.

If you are in the area, definitely visit. We paid additional to use the golf cart which I highly recommend, to avoid the walk in the heat. Because we did that , we also got a complimentary drink at a nearby restaurant. The drink was a refreshing juice from their entrance. Also, bring water with you as there is not much choice at the entrance. However, they have a choice inside as well as you can buy delicious ice cream.

The statue is cool. Better just enjoy it on the horizon. As an American the statue of liberty carries great reverence for our nation. This was compared to it. It's bigger and it's impressive, but it feels like an empty tourist experience when 4 gates ask for money. By the end of it you'll pay ~700,000 IDR for two people to enjoy the experience and there isn't a lot of history to be told in this statue. The statue of liberty is as much a unesco heritage site and museum of American immigration as it is a fancy statue. This does not have that pedigree nor it's reverence. It's an attraction. The stories the statue are meant to tell from Hindu faiths could be used to tell a grander story that places bali in context. But we saw only 3 plaques summarizing the stories plainly. Not worth it. We left unhappy after barely 30 minutes. We walked there and back.

I visited GWK in the afternoon and stayed until night. Since it was a weekday, most of the visitors were school groups, and after 6:30 PM the area became quite empty—only a few tourists around. But don’t worry, it’s not a drawback at all. I actually enjoyed it more because I could take photos freely, and the atmosphere felt calm and unpretentious. I also visited the Garuda Wisnu Kencana statue on the 9th and 23rd floors with a tour guide. I was amazed to learn about the history of GWK Cultural Park, from its early development to what it has become today. If you have enough time, I highly recommend going up the GWK tower and taking the guided tour.

It's truly impressive and a must see. We dis the tour going up to the 23rd floor of the statue and the vuew was beautiful plus seeing the history of it all and its significance. Highly recommend and I even had no issues with my stroller/pram for my 2 yr old. Best to take good walking shoes so you can explore the whoke park but also use the car buggy/shuttle services too, it's huge!
